Great hotel! stay here.

Nice hotel, people, and atmosphere. The continental breakfast was more than continental. The room was modern with an air system that was quiet and kept the room at the correct temperature. I will use the Mettera for all of my trips to Edmonton from now on.

It was awesome. There's a lots of bars, good restaurants, and entertainment within walking distance. Exactly what we were looking for. The only complaint I have is it has no pool. The room we stayed in had nice decor, modern furniture, and was clean. Yum, the breakfast was good too. I would definitely stay there again.

We had booked a king size bed but we're given a small room with a double bed. Once we informed the front desk of the error they upgraded us to a suite. The gym was quite adequately equipped and breakfast was quite nice as well.

Ultra comfortable beds, prime location on Whyte Ave. The hotel is asthetically pleasing to the eyes, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The complimentary continental breakfast isn't as good at Metterra's sister hotel The Matrix-- but it's complimentary so how can you really complain? Metterra is a classy hotel in a wonderful shopping district of Edmonton. Our only disappointment was thir fact that the continental breakfast was so basic. Metterrra's sister hotel downtown, the Matrix, offers a continental breakfast that includes several hot options, and is much better that way. If you're not a big breakfast eater, or have plans to […] go out, or don't mind your basic cereal and pastry/boiled egg, then this place is perfect. The service is excellent - we have found this over the three occasions we have stayed there in the past 10 years - and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We will likely be back. 더 보기

We will stay here any time we stay in Edmonton

Great little hotel in the heart of good shopping on Whyte Ave. Enjoyed the complimentary valet parking,service,and access to a nightly wine tasting.

This is by far the finest hotel in Edmonton. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is a favourite for myself and my son who stays here regularly just to get away.

Everything was very nice and tonnes of shops and restaurants/pubs walking distance. Only issue we had was no restaurant in hotel, would have loved some breakfast in bed but no room service for breakfast. Room service the rest of the day is outsourced to local restaurants.

Had a nice relaxing time at the Metterra Hotel while at my conference.

GREAT HOTEL WITH AN INCREDIBLE LOCATION. GORGEOUS HOTEL. I HAVE STAYED AT MOST OF THE 4-5 STAR HOTELS. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST ONE IN TOWN!

Excellent hotel close to University and Whyte Avenue. Quiet, excellent breakfast (included) and room nice and clean. Would highly recommend.

In the heart of Old Strathcona, the perfect place to stay to enjoy the energy of the neighbourhood. Within walking distance of every type of food you could imagine, and every type of shopping too! Most comfortable mattress ever!

Great hotel on Whyte Ave. - staff were wonderful and helpful - free valet parking was a nice touch.

This is a wonderful, quiet small hotel tucked into a vibrant neighborhood in Edmonton called Strathcona. The hotel has a boutique look, very comfortable rooms, a small fitness room, and a very healthy but substantial breakfast buffet. My check in was an amazing experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the only thing i wish they could have printed me a receipt for the room, but because I booked online they could not.. But other than that I would surely stay again

I will definitely return, I had a great experience and am looking forward to bringing my family next time.

The bed did not suit my husbands back... but apart from that we enjoy staying in this hotel for most of out visit's to Edmonton. Reception staff always seem genuinely friendly and most willing to help. Rooms are modern and very clean. Location is exactly what we need for a night out.

This was our second stay at the Metterra Hotel. We came back because of the great location, clean rooms, great continental breakfast and evening wine-tasting, and especially "the most comfortable bed in the world"! My only concern was that the sheets, while obviously clean, looked off color (grey)

I guess its not a great start when we find hairs on the pillow and an empty bottle on the window sill- doesnt appear that the room is cleaned very well. We also were presented with a robe that was falling to pieces. Breakfast was nice though and the bed was comfy. Bathroom very average, very little attention to detail. The hotel rooms are nothing special, and looking a bit worn in places, but the communial areas are nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the free wine and cheese tasting is a nice touch! Honestly had to drive by the hotel a couple of times to find it, but well worth the search. Been down the neighborhood on many occasion and never knew this hotel even existed. An amazing experience to stay in such a beautiful hotel!

The staff at the Metterra hotel were so nice and helpful. They saw that we were there with our two young children and moved us to a larger sized room with a fireplace at no extra cost. We were able to set up our babies bed and still had plenty of room to move around. We were so grateful to them for accommodating us in such a way. We loved the hotel. Very comfortable, gorgeous room, great view. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the price was fantastic (lower than expected)! Whyte Avenue is a lot of fun, great entertainment and shopping. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly. Parking? HORRIBLE! I received a $50 parking ticket while I was checking in. The hotel said they would take care of it. Thank you! Room? NOT BAD! I had reserved a King room...ended up with a Double b/c other guests had early check in. I was told it was a 'first come, first served' policy. I was NOT […] impressed with that. Service was very friendly and all our needs were looked after. Great location, walking distance to many great pubs and stores.

The only downside is theat parking is not near hotel.

The Metterra Hotel is a great place to stay on Whyte Ave. The room was quiet considering the location and very well comfortable. The only issue was no on-site parking. They have self park and a valet service that parks about a block or so away but they were very accommodating as to timing to get your vehicle. There is absolutely no parking. The hotel provides valet parking with two spots that are supposed to be reserved for them, but it is not enforced at all!! I circled the block for half an hour after midnight before I finally got a spot just to get the valet parking, it was ridiculous. The hotel number should have been on the reservation confirmation […] so I could have called. If it hadn't been for that I would have rated it much higher. 더 보기

We were looking to get away for the weekend and due to the holiday most hotels were booked in our usual weekend haunts (Banff and Jasper). We decided to try something new and have a vacation within the city. We love the Whyte Ave area and thought that it would be nice to spend the night and not have to worry about driving home. We checked in an hour […] before check in time and there was no issue arriving early. Our room was beautiful! We got a spacious corner room. The bed was fabulous and all the linens were crisp and white. At 5pm we went to the wine and cheese...this was a nice touch and a start of a beautiful evening. After dinner and drinks we went to a movie at the Princess Theatre (another great venue if you are into independant films). After a wonderful night sleep we woke up for the complimentary breakfast. The fresh fruit was delicious along with toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and cottage cheese. They also had 24 hour coffee/tea/hot chocolate. This hotel was a gem and we will definately be back. I loved our vacation in the city and it was nice not having a 3 hour drive home. Thank you Metterra! 더 보기
