The rooms had extra beds that we didn't need, but all in all the trip was great. We had a great time, not too far from the strip and right on the beach.

It was a HUGE hotel room and great for the price. I didn't care much for the front desk lady but the Concierge desk was wonderful. I believe his name was Jason. He helped us with our bags to the room and gave us discount coupons to the restaurant we wanted to go to. I would definitely go to Seafood World again because they had excellent food.

Room was not ready by check-in time; had to wait an hour. Very disorganized staff. Maid left door open while we gone, luckily nothing was taken. Breakfast is a little walk to the sister hotel; not convenient and not cheap. Jacuzzi was dirty. Would not recommend for people trying to relax. Walls are very thin and hotel needs updating. Place is a dump...pools over crowded...un clean rooms...elevators didn't work properly...poor service...shouldve spent an extra $30 a night and stayed at a nicer hotel...way too expensive for a motel experience!

We got there at 5:30 Saturday after, granted it was the first day of spring vacation but not enough staff was dealing with the check-ins, actually only 2 girls with one manager helping. 1 1/2 hours it took for us to check in, the line up was out the door of the lobby. They said they were trying to call me to see if I was comming, I suspect to give away my room as they probably overbooked. I told them I never got a call and I was standing in the massive line up. They only replenished towels, made bed and wiped sink and bathtub each day. Did not replenish coffee supply, cups or sweep floor, tile floor, from massive amounts of sand that you drag in from beach and I almost wiped out one day because of it. For the money I would go somewhere else with better service in the area as it is hotel row! 더 보기

The entire experience was a disaster. So many different disappointments from start to finish...Check-in time is "anytime after 4pm." More accurately, check-in time is whenever they feel like it. If you choose this hotel, expect a long line at check in. You will wait for 1 - 1/2 hours. If you arrive early, you will be asked to come back.. I DON'T recommend this hotel. I will not come back. Great beach front location. A few years past an update. Carpet and couch had many stains. A lot of noise. Will not go back.

Hotel was nice. Right on the beach. I stayed with my family of 5 and we had a blast.

Overall experience at this hotel was great. The check-in and check out process was quick and efficient, very friendly staff, and located in the heart of everything. Great pricing for the room we received. The hotel can use a bit of upgrading in the rooms though. First was the microwave, pretty old and rusted out on the door, evident it's been there […] since the beginning, time to change, especially since their so cheap now a days. The bath room wall paper was peeling from the walls, but thats probably from the cause of all the hot steamy showers. Got to admit, the water was strong and hot with adjustable shower head. Two thumbs up for that. But the toilet paper holder too was rusting out and needed to be changed. Other than that, the room view of the Ocean was just breathtaking, sunset and sunrise. Also the ice machine was located on our floor, but was empty and not functioning, so had to go up or down 3 floors to get some. But the mini fridge did wonders, nice and cold and the freezer part worked great to refreeze our ice-packs for our coolers. The room was tidy and neat, bed and pillows were firm and comfy, the room A/C was functioning beautifully. The indoor and outdoor pools were nice and clear, plenty of deck chairs, easy and quick access to the beach. The hot tub inside the hotel needed periodic cleaning, lots of bubbling, but that's probably due from swim suits just washed in detergent. The steam and dry saunas were great. The pizza parlor served great tasting pizza, access to a convenience store, free parking. Overall 4 out of 5 stars rating from us. Will definitely go back for sure. 더 보기

lil disappointment after spending a lil more time in my room

Unfortunately, as I was checking in I started experiencing chest pains. My daughter finished checking us in and asked for directions to the nearest hospital. We were only approx. 6 blocks away. I was admitted for observation and was released the next day, thankfully. But the staff at the hotel were great to both my daughter and grand daughter. They […] asked often how I was doing and helped my daughter get a late check out so that they could wait for me to be discharged. My only regret was I never even had a chance to see the room I paid for!! My daughter and grand daughter enjoyed the room and their only comment was the floor needed to be swept and mopped because it was dirty and sticky. It was a pleasant stay. the concierge was very helpful with coupons and entertainment. I would definitely again next stay there again next time I go.

got our room wrong sent us to another the same thing except it had a kitchen and sitting room both beds in the same room. floors made your feet black. asked for extra pillows my husband has a bad back and i had sholder surgery they had no one to bring them to us they said guy brought them the next day and tryed to take the ones we had they couldn't […] understand extra.had to set coffee pot on the floor for it to be plugled into the outlet.got woke up at 6:45am sunday morning by them presser washing the side walks.told us they took the motor from the lazy river and put it in the one at the water park in front of the motel that we could only use one day. wall above the bed was nasty(black) no do not disturb sign for the door incase we wanted to nap.hard time getting anything. would not recomend to anyone i know the only way i would stay their again would be for free and breakfast in bed!!!!!!!!!! 더 보기

My wife ,son and I had a great stay here we would and did recommend it to our friends. Nice little water park our son loved it . We had a pleasant 3 day stay and would stay there again.

T Sand Dunes resort was TOPS! We had several issues that were immediately rectified by the front desk and everyone was professional and courteous. The water park was great for kids and the other amenities were great. Golf at Diamondback was $15 for a NICE course. The camp for kids gave us a break from watching the brood. There is no service offered at this hotel, after you check in do not expect anything most of the staff english is the second language and hard to understand but can say its not my job clear as a bell. Better yet adventure desk hours are minimal and not helpful at all especially do not book shuttles through them because they screwed up 3 times with me […] and my two kids ended up getting rental car and had to look up on line directions, concierge is actually timeshare rep and completely useless when i complained about the adventure desk she said its not her job to book day trips unless i wanted to go to see cherry beach times share. The absolute kicker was after confirmed airport shuttle 3 times they were wrong even pre booked it prior to leaving on my trip. Was told 1045 ended up being 925 big difference was called at 920 and asked why we werent on shuttle and given 15 mins to get to lobby didnt even send bellhop to assist with luggage. The rooms are intially pretty clean but arent cleaned for the rest of your stay, not even restocked get use to grabbing toilet paper and towels from front desk daily and dont be surprised when the flip your sheets and pillowcases instead of changing them. Parking in huge dilema also no signage if lots are full and good luck finding your room intially five buildings and bad directions from front desk. Do not believe any times posted in and around hotel they are all wrong by hours, restaurants close early pools never seem to close which leads to how filthy they are when do they get cleaned? I could go on for hours on things that went wrong ONLY good thing is the beach is right at your finger tips and is well maintained they only thing that is in the entire hotel area. When arrived home called head office asked me to email them with the events and havent even bother to return my emails not i have sent four, so obviously the corporation doesnt even care if customers arent happy keep that in mind, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone no 더 보기

they did a great job maintaining the cleanlienss of my room. the room was located on the beach and was always beautiful out. the pool was absolutely awesome.

Bathroom was not clean on arrival. I called immediately and informed them and maid service was there in minuets and pleasant. View of beach was great. Breakfast buffet not bad at all. Walls are too thin( could hear next door and smelled what they had for dinner. Ha). We will be back.

Very disappointed in hotel. Parking is terrible, toilet ran constantly and most of all they shut the pool down 3 of the 5 days we were there. The managemnt won't respond to the complaints.

The rooms were great and we had a great time. We got resverations through hotels.com and we specified an ocean front room but did not get it. We were very satified with the room we got but my wife was disappointed about the ocean front.

We stayed for a week in July in an oceanview room. It was clean and housekeeping was great. We really enjoyed Mango's restaurant for dinner (we were not so impressed with the breakfast buffet though - it was "ok".) Our only complaint was that a couple of times the parking garage was totally full and there was no notice. We only stayed one night. We wanted to try it out. Overall the hotel complex is rather large. Our stay wasn't bad. It just felt overThe hotel room could have been a bit cleaner. I must say that most of us have expectations when we see the word resort. It wasn't clean and was only a step or two from camping. Bathroom was nasty and we had to wear shower shoes in the shower and not touch the curtain. Carpet had stains and holes in it. There were dishes but no dishwashing soap of any kind to do the dishes. The units have different owners so I have heard some are nice and some not so nice. We got not so nice. We did get free tickets to the local water park but the water park at the resort is nothing to be too excited about unless your kids are really little. We had teenagers. When we arrived one of the employees was walking in the road and swore at us when she thought we had gotten too close to her. There was a sidewalk right next to her. We just were amazed at the attitudes by the employees. Waited for a hour for our food at the resturant in the resort while others were served. We were told they were just really busy. Try another place as you will be happier in the end to spend the extra money unless cleanliness is not a priority to you. We spent a week here for our honeymoon. Great location, clean rooms, loved the beachfront, the waterpark and the bar and restaurant. There is a Starbucks next door! Our only complaint was the parking deck on the weekends, parking permits were not inforced and the deck was COMPLETELY FULL when the hotel was not. When I was looking at this Hotel on hotels.com and reading the reviews I must admit I was not really sure If I should book this hotel 'cause the reviews where harsh. Once we got there at noon we check in to the room earlier than the 3pm check in 'cause our room was already ready and clean. I seem to have forgotten a brand new dress in my hotel room, of course I called and no one turn the dress in to house keeping, So either no one cleaned the room after we left or someone took the dress.With that said I would not recommend this hotel in case you forget any idems.

Most of our visit only one elevator worked, we were on the tenth floor. The television kept going out about 20 minutes after you turned it on. The shower curtain rod was not attached to the wall and fell down and hit my husband on the head. The was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so you had to shower with the door open(no privacy). After searching for the room where the clerk told us(carrying our luggage and hot) we returned to her and found out that it was in a completely different building. Me, my wife and 2 year old son just returned home from staying 7 days at the Sand Dunes Resort and we were very pleased with our vacation. We stayed at the Ocean Dunes in 2010 which is in the same complex as the Sand Dunes and were also pleased with the whole resort in general. For the price, you just can't beat what you get there! The waterpark is […] very nice for kids and the big kids also :) The room were stayed in this year was smaller than a year ago, but we paid less and stayed one more day so we can't complain. We made the room very comfortable even with a pack and play for the little boy to sleep in. The only complaint we had was the parking. If you go when it's busy, it is VERY HARD to find a parking spot and the parking garage at the Sand Dunes is a nightmare and I would not recommend even trying to park in it! It was very small and you have to go up the same way other cars are trying to get out! The couple of times we parked in it, I was for sure we were going to wreck with another car. We got there on the last day of Bike Week in May which was very busy, but Monday thru Friday was very pleasant and we rarely had trouble finding a parking spot in the parking lot. On Saturday, it seemed to get a lot busier so finding a parking spot on that day took a long time. The staff seemed very nice and helped up in the couple of times we asked. I'm sure there are nicer and fancier places in Mrytle Beach, but for the price, you can't beat staying at Sand Dunes or Ocean Dunes. I'm sure we will be back! 더 보기

To start the bell guys wouldnt help us carry our stuff to the room when we got their. The boxspring broke in half when we went to go to bed and my little girl busted her eye on the night stand when it broke and blacked her eye. Then we were told they were going to switch our room so we had 5 mins to pack up if we wanted help moving our thing, and of […] course thats wasnt enought time to pack everything up so we have to move it all by our selve's again. I wasn't happy about all the trouble we had to go through in moving it took us a whole day to deal with all of that. So i went to the front desk and let him know how bad the services there were and they told me "well we will give you and your family free breakfast for 2 days" Wow oh by the way kids are free to eat so "breakfast for 2 adults for 2 days for all that trouble" Come on this was the worse service I have ever had and for the money I paid I did expect more from them on service. The hotel is a little aging, but well maintained and the staff worked hard to make our sta comfortable. The room was nice with a good ocean view. It is not in walking distance to much.

Stayed here for Memorial Day weekend Friday night to Saturday. Had to check out at 11am instead of noon (would not give an extended courtesy late check out even though vacancy available, which I can't really complain about since it is the rule, but we always ask for a late checkout and have never had any issues with it at any other hotel when vacancy […] available.) Only had a few pools, and the really nice waterpark for the children was only open 12-5pm. I would recommend staying at a hotel who keeps their waterpark open earlier and later so guests with kids can take advantage of it. Other than that, a nice hotel with nice restaurants. 더 보기
