Friendly, clean, good facilities, comfortable lounge with free wireless, plenty of space in the room

Although my stay was very brief, my room was clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would stay there again and would recommend to others as well.

Really great service/staff at this hotel. I stayed for only one night, I'm in my mid 20s, so you're not always used to the same treatment that families or older guests receive. However, as soon as I entered the hotel for check-in, the staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. When I checked in, i noticed that the room hadn't been completely cleaned […] (there was some soap scum left on the bathroom counter), so I went down and informed the front desk. They appologized and asked if they could send room service up. Within 5 minutes, room service was at my door and everything was taken care of. The extreme helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was great, and definetly outweighed the slight hiccup. No amazing views (I was facing an alley on a lower floor, but I also didn't go to NYC to spend too much time in a hotel room). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. 더 보기

We had a very nice stay at Affinia 50. The people was very pleasant and helpful, and the rom was nice too. The hotel is just a short walk from the Rockefeller Center, Central park, Shopping(Saks fifth avenue, Bloomingdales ++), Times square, Grand Central station, The Crysler Building and NY public library.

Great service by every employee. Good sized rooms. Convenient location. Would stay again.

had the best time, was in a great location and the staff were all so friendly and helpful.Was a walk to great restaurants and bars and only a short walk to central park and broadway. Will stay there again when in New York. Did not want to leave

prefect for a great long weekend... location is super and bed are comfortable

The Affinia 50 Hotel is a very comfortable, friendly and convenient hotel for tourists and business travelers. It needs an upgrade of the kitchen in each room and overall decor, especially kitchens and carpets. My husband and I have stayed there several times over the years and have loved it always.

My friends and I stayed at the Affinia 50 Hotel for a girls weekend. We chose this hotel because there were 5 of us and this was the best deal for a room with 2 queen beds and a queen sleeper sofa. The room was fantastic with very comfortable beds. Location was good. Its not in Times Square or anyting, but we were able to walk most places and really […] only took cabs (and the hotel's limo!) because it was cold. My one negative comment was that although check-in time was 3 pm and we showed up at 4:15, our room was still not clean and the man at the front desk just told me to take a seat without much other info offered. After 20 minutes of sitting and staring at him, I stood back up and walked over to ask what was going on. He finally called housekeeping who still wasn't answering. So another front desk attendant went upstairs to check on the room. When she came back we were told it would be 5 more minutes. After 10 more minutes, they offered us a bottle of wine. A small consolation prize for not being able to check in until 2 hours later than we should have! 더 보기

Excellent on all counts - location, amenities, decor, price... the best we've found in mid-town at such a reasonable price. Room & bathroom were small but very cozy, warm, comfortable, clean. A friendly staff and club room to relax. We'll definitely be back next time we're in NYC!!!

I was only there briefly but I was very happy with the hotel.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Thamara and the staff. The room was comfortable and clean. Great hotel to stay in if you have a dog. Great location and affordable. We will definitely return! Entire staff was excellent!!

Great hotel, friendly staff, cool decor, fantastic location...

Looks good from the outside, the rooms are really big but this hotel needs urgent renovation. Old carpet, ugly hallway, my door key never worked (always had to go back to the lobby to show my ID and ask someone to open the door for me) and the some members of the staff looked like the were on a constant bad mood. Won't go back!

I travel for a living, so I REALLY appreciated the comfortable bed. Internet was $14/day, or slightly reduced weekly/monthly rates. I was on the 5th floor, facing the alley. No view to speak of, and there's a 24-hour din outside, due to something mechanical, such as fans or generators. I like white noise, so I found it fine, and at quite an acceptable […] level with the window closed. I was there in December, and the heat worked acceptably well. However, the weather was warm a few of the days (70 degrees one day!), and the AC was unresponsive, offering no cooling, but only the fan. So, to cool the room off I opened the window. Well, there's a McDonald's a few doors down, and it shares the alley with the hotel. The smell of the grease vat is nearly overwhelming!! SERIOUSLY, IF YOU WANT TO OPEN THE WINDOW, GET A HIGH FLOOR. I'd say make sure to get a room overlooking the street, but then you'll have to deal with your typical NYC street noise, which I sometimes find disturbing. Up to you. I feel the smell would be less overpowering if you had a room perhaps 10 or higher. More dissipation of that stench. My clothes smelled like I'd been working in McD's. I'd stay there again, if the rate is agreeable. Just not near the grease pool. 더 보기

My family recently went to NYC with 3 adults and 4 kids and this was the PERFECT hotel. Clean, comfortable and in a great location. I would definitely stay there again!

decent hotel, room was nice size, street noise from 4th floor roon was awful,lounge room was great.

The hotel is excellent, but it is definitely time for a carpet upgrade. The carpet made me feel a little yucky but other than that, I would stay again.

Great staff, great room, loved the balcony. But the heat was unbearable. We tried turning it down, ac on, and finally off and just kept coming. Be ready for a roaster!

The room was clean, spacious, well laid-out and the bed was comfortable. The lounge on the 2nd floor was large, comfortable, welcoming and well laid-out. My parents bus didn't leave until late afternoon so after check-out they waited in the 2nd floor lounge and did not feel rushed out, but were made to feel welcome. My parents do not have a US cell […] phone so the concierge was helpful and placed phone calls for my parents. They intend to stay here the next time they come to Manhattan to visit me. 더 보기

Got a good deal on hotels.com and thankfully I can say I've found a New York hotel that I would definitely go back to. Only one negative - you pay for wireless in the room, but then they do offer free wireless in lobby areas.

i would recommend this hotel to stay in NYC. You don't have to stay in times square area to get all the excitement. This neighborhood is very safe, and close to subway station , or 5th avenue. for the price this hotel has offer, it's best to stay here then in times square.

So I stayed in this hotel for one night. It was a great hotel and I would definitely stay here again BUT they have to lower the heat. They had an air conditioning unit on the wall to turn on in case it gets too hot in the room but it didn't work, so needless to say I didnt get much sleep....

With so many choices around, Affinia 50 is reasonably priced for a nice clean room, friendly service and PRIME location for a visitor with a goal to do lots of site seeing. Many attractions, stores, cafes, restaurants within walking distance. 5 min walk to the nearest metro station. We were very pleased.

Good location and comfy beds. Really loved having a fridge. Major highlight was the hotel staff...everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Not sure how they got there since it was raining + windows were closed but they made sleeping rather difficult.

This hotel is a great alternative to the big chains. Small but well staffed. Near food, shopping and subway. Despite the hair in the shower, stain on carpet thin walls, and trash shoot outside my room, I would have to recommend it if you like boutique hotels.

the welcome we received from Eric at the front desk set the tone for our entire stay. he was wonderful and so excited to introduce us to the hotel. wine and cheese, great coffee....great room with a view and pillow menu! what's not to like?

Very nice overall. Ask for a balcony room if available. Only drawbacks: halls are really narrow, carpeting is showing it's age.

The lady who helped us when we came was snobby and rude. She asked me to write down the names of those staying in my room, something I have never been asked to do. I felt that she was treating us this way because we seemed younger than the usual guests at the hotel. She did not make the visit comfortable for us at all. None of this made sense since […] the hotel was not nearly as nice as I expected it to be. The room felt old and not worth the money we spent on it. All in all, DEFINITELY not worth the money.
