nice safe area, good modern hotel, great walks both sides of river into the west end. i do like a cooked breakfast and this was £12.95, but buffy continental was good and plentiful. i walked into the west end and back a few times it is about 2.5 miles but worth it to see some great buildings and landmarks. All you want from a short break hotel. Good location, immaculately clean, comfortable bed, great shower, quiet, hotel bar and friendly staff. Will stay here in future when in London

Pleasantly surprised. Immaculate. Would like to see English breakfast, also the lifts are a bit funny (but for the security of guests I believe). Really didn't expect it to be this good, I wanted a budget hotel for a one night stay as I was out for a party in town. Fabulous.

Stayed one night with husband and a three-year old son. Convenient location and Very good service - late check-in (arranged in advance), luggage storage after check-out, and stored my online shopping parcels. Although at first glance appear minimal, the room has everything one would need for a comfortable stay before a 24 hour flight - all toiletries, hairdryer with mirror hidden as desk drawer, tea making facilities, wi-fi in common area - except no fridge, which seems to be common for London accommodations. Cold breakfast but with good fresh fruits (berries and fruit salad). Photos displayed in common area may not be to granny's taste. I've stayed in a number of hotels around the City of London and this is by far the best for the price. Located near the Borough tube station and Borough Market, it's a few blocks from the Thames and close to cafes along the southbank. The food at the hotel isn't great, but the hotel has wifi and good service.

I was very disappointed to find that there were no rooms available with bath. All rooms were shower only. This was not indicated when I booked my room. Had it been indicated, I would have stayed elsewhere. I returned to my room at midnight to find no housekeeping whatsoever had been done, although I had requested it. Hotel location was perfect close to the Thames was very clean and would use again on future visits.

Stayed here 4 nights with my 11 yr old son for sightseeing holiday. All the staff were very accomodating to us. Did not like the 'phone book' pillows on our bed, we always use 2 soft ones each, so asked for extra pillows- they brought 2 more up immediately. I do not have an int'l phone so could not make any phone calls on my cell. The front desk staff […] made 2 (free) calls for us. The Continental breakfast was more than adequate (you can upgrade for a fee but we didn't) They had coffee, tea, juice, croissants, toast, fresh fruit and canned fruit, sour dough bread, ham, turkey, salami, cheese, hard boiled eggs, cereals, wheatabix, yoghurts. Plenty to choose from and we never left hungry. They had croissants in the lobby each evening and extra instant coffee and tea supplies for the taking. They even offered to get more croissants when they ran out one night for my son! All the staff were wonderful and made our stay all the more nicer. Our room had a queen sized bed, the bath only towels, and floor mat for the shower. No hand towel or wash cloths (not a European thing ?) The shower had a wall dispenser for body wash/ shampoo. Had to put your room key in a 'slot' to activate room lights (pretty good idea so as not to waste/ leave lights on when you leave...) We were on the 5th floor- Room 504 so we always took the stairs up to the 6th for breakfast each day. Room had a safe which was easy to use and blow dryer. Not a lot of extra room for luggage, we just put them on the floor against the wall opposite the foot of the bed. Had tea/coffee service in the room and was replentished each day. Room had electric 'black out' blinds that lowered and covered the windows. Not much of a pretty view out the window-just other buildings. Location was great. Close to London Bridge Tube stop. (Picadilly line from Heathrow, change at Green Park (there are elevators if you have heavy luggage!) to the Jubilee line) was a bit hard to find the hotel the first time (Look for Borough High stree 더 보기

Overall and awesome experience, professional and friendly staff always there when you need them, always willing to help. Excellent food and beautiful environment and rooms. The best place to be when on holiday or on business. A big thank you to all!!!

The hotel is near the River and handy for Southbank, only 10 minutes walk to the Tate Modern. Bit stingy on the biscuits, only one packet between 2 of us just on the first night. But plenty of tea and coffee making stuff in reception. Had to ask for more pillows as again only 2 supplied and only 2 towels between us. The shower gel had run out but they […] replaced it quickly. We had continental breakfast and there was plenty of it. No curtains but an electric blind. It was a bit noisy as there were coaches parked outside across the road with their engines running. Although the hotel doesn't have many facilities it is new, modern and clean for a short stay - and it has a carpark (at extra charge) It's also just inside the congestion zone so will cost you another £20 for an overnight stay

Excellent hotel for the price we paid - we were so happy with our choice! Perfect location to explore London from - very walkable. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful - sorted out special dietary needs for my mum at breakfast time. Continental breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day.

Comfortable hotel. Nice room with excellent shower. Breakfast was included and there was a good variety. Will use this hotel again on next London visit.

We had a great experience here. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were actually larger than I had anticipated. The twin beds were comfy. Had a great nights stay at the Southwark Rose Hotel the night before our daughters graduation. The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent, we didn't need to 'upgrade' to the full english as there was such a great variety in the continental, it set us up for the day. The location is FAB, we walked along […] the southbank, crossed the river and went skating at Somerset House! Our daughtersgraduation ceremony was at the Royal Festival Hall and again we walked there easily in the morning. PArking also very reasonable at the hotel, we left the car there for 24 hours for £20, and as we arrived on Sunday and didn't leave the car park until after 6 on the Monday we seemed to avoid the conjestion penalty too. Nice hotel reasonably priced for London. The breakfast was lovely and a bonus it being included as most other hotels we looked at charged extra for breakfast. I would definitely return.

the London Bridge Tube Station, - all so close you can enjoy them often during your stay. What a wonderful location! It's just our favorite place to stay. Calm and serene in an island of activity. And the staff is beyond helpful and pleasant. We love the Rose and will come back as often as time permits.

The hotel is very clean and modern, and is about 2 minutes walk south of the Thames over Southwark Bridge The room was clean and comfortable, but the heating / aircon was a little noisy. The lap top safe was a big plus. The food was reasonable with a decent selection to chose from, for both Breakfast and the evening meal. It was very near the Globe and the National theaters as well as the Tate Modern. There are plenty of nice pubs nearby (where aren't there in London?) but we especially enjoyed the Anchor and Hope, super-tasty food and great service. This hotel is really really good! It's very close to the hustle and bustle of the Southbank, Shakespeare's Globe, Tate Modern etc but is a haven away from the madness. Ikke nogle negative indvendinger. Beliggende i et stille og roligt område. Dejligt det ligger tæt på Themsen, hvilket gav os nogle gode og smukke gåture til centrum.

El hotel está muy bien, no esta justo en el centro pero encuentras el metro a 10 minutos a pir cruzando el puente del rio o dirección la estación de London Bridge. El servicio es muy amable, el desayuno correcto y la habitación espaciosa y acondicionada perfectamente (plancha y todo!). La wifi es gratis si pides la contraseña en recepción.

Meget fin beliggenhed tæt på London Bridge Station, Borrough Market, Tate Modern og South Bank. Mange og meget varierede restauranter i nabolaget. Rimelig rengøring. Kedel og te/kaffe på værelset - men kun et krus!! Kun et håndklæde pr. person Fin restaurant og god morgenmad

Har tidligere boet på hotellet og har erfaret, at det har mistet en stjerne og nu kun har 2. Helt uforståeligt! Det svarer virkelig til andre 4 stjerners hoteller, jeg har boet på i London!!! Hotellet ligger tæt på Jubilee Line og der er kun ca. 4-5 stop til midtbyen - så let! - og det kan anbefales at vælge dette kvarter frem for det sædvanlige turist […] Bayswater område.... Eneste minus er den manglende udsigt fra hotelværelserne. Ellers er både lobby (internet, kaffe, the, kager, vand til fri afbenyttelse), morgenmadsrestaurant og værelser moderne indrettet og alt virker temmeligt nyt. Morgenmadsbuffet'en er super god, hvis man ikke forventer english breakfast...alt er friskt og der er et godt udvalg.
