This was the second time we stayed at Samsara and it was another great stay, friendly efficient people. A comfortable and daily cleaned room, with the most fabulous views. The resort makes you feel comfortable being yourself, no matter where you are from, and how youenjoy yourslef....as long as you know the saying "respect"....uhrih. Fern

pictures that are used for the advertisement of this hotel must have been taken several years ago, when the hotel was newly built. What is looks like now is completely different. I felt deceived, because I booked the hotel based on the pictures shown, and it is the complete opposite. All the lounge chairs, and furniture are rusty and old, I couldn't […] sit on any of them they looked so uncomfortable. The hotel needs to be renovated and brought up to date. I found it over all uncomfortable. The following morning I had coffee and it was cold. Customer service was just ok, nothing memorable. The sauna looked uninviting, it was out of order and looked awful. The pool was a little better, but just a little. I wanted to get a refund, I was so disappointed. I'm so glad it was only one night, It would have ruined my holiday to have stayed longer than that. 더 보기

Basic room. No AC. Old bathrooms. Staff not as friendly as other Jamaicans. Restaurant ok. Nice pool right on cliffs- really gorgeous. Walk to bars. Can't walk to beach.

I was in Negril for a friend's wedding. Got a great deal at Samsara, plus staff upgraded me to a seafront room. Room was great. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I hadn't been to Jamaica in eight years, so was happy to be able to get some typical Jamaican food at the bar and restaurant. Overall, very pleasant experience. Definitely […] recommend. 더 보기

The location is wonderful and the diving great. It is a real bonus having an experienced dive master at the resort. It is good value for the money if you book online a few weeks in advance. The prices as a walk-in customer are too high. The rooms were a good size but the beds were too firm and the pillows exceptionally hard. I would recommend the Samsara […] Resort to anyone looking for a 2 star property with a friendly, helpful staff and a good restaurant. 더 보기

Will not ever return, hotel needs to set up security at night!

We stayed at Samsara the last four days of our vacation to Negril. The first three nights we stayed at Xtabi. Both resorts are superb. We only booked our first three nights prior to leaving the states. We thought we might be able to get a better deal on the rooms at Samsara by talking to the staff face to face, but discovered that the cost was much […] less when booked online. The shuttle to the beach and back saved us approximately $7 - $10 each trip. This benefit makes the prices even more affordable. If you like to snorkel, we suggest that you go to Xtabi and enter the water from the little beach that is accessible from one of their caves. It is a short walk to Xtabi and the caves are open to anyone. There are a couple of little fruit stands in walking distance from Samsara where you can buy fresh fruit. Samsara's restaurant across the street called, "Ciao Jamaica" has an excellent mango salad and pizza. For authentic Jamaican food and prices - try Jenny's (part way between Samsara and the beach). There is a grocery store within walking distance where we purchased hard dough bread and Ting for reasonable prices. There is a mall across the street from Legends. If you would rather not deal with the haggling of the market, the mall has reasonable prices and just about anything you are wanting to purchase. We had a very nice room in the hotel on the ocean side at Samsara at a very reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay. 더 보기

This was my 3rd trip to Negril. We chose Samsara because the prices were fare and some of the reviews were positive. When we booked the room, we were told the room had an ocean view. When we arrived they placed us in the "jungle" across the street. The bathrooms had worms in the shower. The area was dark. Around 4 am the rooters started crowing outside […] our window and did not stop until 8 am. After much debate and an increase in price, we were moved into an ocean view room. These rooms are paper thin. You can hear every conversation, TV or whatever is going on with your neighbors. The shower was dirty and there were spider webs in several corners of the room. Overall Ok except a few problems, phone in room that i stayed did not worked at all and asked to morning called & never got call in the morning. but People were nice & kitchen staffs were nice & kind. The Room that i stayed pretty good view of ocean & good. Shutte bus to Legend ( right on Seven miles beach) is good, wish more different time to operate rather […] than just one time ( 10 Am to 4 PM pick up) anyway I will try again if back to Negril nex year ! 더 보기

Our stay at the Samsara was great. It was centrally located in Negril. The first night we did not have a room with air (must have) and the next day we requested a room with air and they made the necessary change and even moved our stuff into our new room. The staff was very friendly and security made us feel very safe in a country we were traveling […] to for the first time. I would recommend this resort to all my friends. First, let me say that I read the reviews before going there, so nothing came as much of a surprise. We rented a car from the airport (With the steering wheel on the wrong (right) side of the car, and driving on the left side of the road, I don't recommend this to the average driver. I consider myself way above average in the driving department, and […] I have to admit that it was a bit nerve racking - even if it did save a bundle over taking a shuttle or taxi). We checked in late, and John - the night guy - was very protective and helpful. I say protective because he was constantly making sure it was safe to cross the street which can be a bit unsafe. I later went to see if we could buy a bottle of water, which he said at that hour was unavailable, but he shared some juice that the hotel had given him to last the night. I was blown away! Now for the resort. The room itself was pretty much as promised by the reviews (not the pictures). It was a box with a bed. No box spring (the matress was on a wood stand), so it was a little too hard. The bed was a double, so it was a little small for my wife and I to share, but we made due. The highlight of the room was the shower which, while it didn't drain as fast as it filled, it was clean, and spacious, with lots of water pressure. There was no door knob, just a dead bolt, and a handle similar to a cabinet handle, so the room itself was fairly primitive. There was AC in our room which was worth the extra money as even in May, the weather was hot & humid. I was later told that the garden view rooms don't have AC, but the ocean view rooms did (this wasn't clear when I made the reservations). The room also had a small sitting area in front that had a nice view of the ocean and pool. Overall, as far as the room goes, if it weren't for the surroundings, I wouldn't stay there again... but continue reading. Outside of the room, the facility itself was wonderful. The resort is situated on a short cliff, so there were many places that 더 보기
