My fiance and I have now stayed at the Hilton twice. It's right next to the interstate which was very convenient and there are several different types of restaurants near by. Half of the time we just ate at the hotel. The mini restaurant they have right off of the lobby was excellent. The staff greeted us every morning and the food was delicious! The […] front desk was very helpful in suggesting different places to go explore and where the best parking was in downtown DM. We are planning to go back later this year. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the Des Moines area over night. 더 보기

For our purposes, this was a fine choice. Not too far from our destinations, and right off the highway. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or the workout room, because we were pretty much in and out for both nights we were there. The breakfast looked fine, though we didn't use that either. We did use the Starbucks across the road. The room was comfortable, […] and clean. Shower worked, drained fine. Beds were those dial-a-comfort, or sleep comfort...we didn't use that either. Great place to stay. Real Comfort. Many features close by.

We got a king "suite" that was the same size as a regular "non-suite" room. The only difference is that where the second queen bed would be, we had a couch. We were on the fifth floor towards the southeast corner. Apparently the room is really close to the hotel's laundry room since if you were taking a shower when the washer is going? Forget it. The […] water temperature goes all over the place. O and when the dryer is going? The whole room rumbles and the floor shakes. Also, the pool temperature was a bit on the cold side. But what's worse is that the sauna never went above 100 degrees. Yes the location is convenient and the surrounding area feels safe. But behind the nice exterior of the hotel, the value simply is not there. Would not come back again. 더 보기

The hotel is convenietly located right off exit 129 on I-80 with a gas station, fast food restaurants, and Starbucks close by. The surrounding area felt safe. As for the actual stay, we had two room reservations. The two queen bed room is clean and nice. However, the supposedly upgraded one king "suite" is of the same size with a couch where the second […] bed would have been. A suite should mean a separated bedroom from a living area but apparently not at Hilton Garden Inn. In addition, the fire alarm went off at least once each day during our stay. Every single time turned out to be a false alarm that ended up being really annoying flashing lights in the room. If there is a problem with the system, fix it. If it is a problem with guests, kick them out. I inquired into why there are multiple false alarms but I did not get an explanation at all. Also, we stayed on the southside of the fifth floor. Apparently the laundering room is near by because at odd hours of the day, the floors would shake as the hotel's unbalanced dryers spin. And if you are showering when the washing machine is on? Better prepare for the quick-changing water termperature. We also used the pool and the hot tub, which were both satisfactory. However, the sauna did not work as the temperature never went above 100 degrees. Another disappointment at the Hilton Garden Inn. For about $100 a night in Iowa? The value simply is not there. This is my second stay at this particular hotel. Stayed in town for a family Christmas and had lots of things to I ended up needing to make using a computer - the business area was very accommodating - was able to make some cards in color and print off on a color copier. Staff was very helpful and accomodating as well. Enjoy the "one stop shop" feel […] to it - meaning restaurant options within walking distance as well as in the hotel, a bar is open in the lobby area in the evenings with a comfortable area to sit in great furniture with a TV or just to visit. A wide variety available for breakfast and the rooms were clean and comfy. Bed was awesome. Pool area was well maintained and I would stay here over and over and over!! I chose this hotel based on proximity to family I was visiting in town. The location was very convenient. Check in and check out were both simple. The bedding was nice, but the mattress had big depressions in it and I didn't sleep very well. The value was fine. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. We were very happy to walk across the street to get a pedicure before attending a wedding. There were several places to eat in the immediate area within walking distance. The room was nice and I was pleased to see Neutrogena products in the bathroom. Very accommodating staff and great room.

Stayed one night at the Hilton Garden Inn. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was about as expected. Clean and well conditioned. Only complaint was bed was a bit soft for my taste, but overall very solid room. Would definitely stay here again.

very nice people, the front desk always asked if we needed anything, they have awesome customer service. We were going to the races daily and the front desk saved us some cookies they make since we were gone. fun people to talk to, they would smile and joke along with us when we were in the lobby. thanks

Positives: Located in Business Park, close to bars and restaurants, easy access to I80, clean, and value priced for such a nice hotel. Negatives: House Keeping started knocking on doors at 8 AM for cleaning and the rear main enterance didn't have a card swipe to let us in. We have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for the past 5 years when we attend the State Fair. It is near many restaurants: Texas Roadhouse (share a parking lot), Culver's, Pancheros, Ruby Tuesday's, Village Inn, Starbuck's; and it also has a Hy-Vee grocery store very close by. It is right off of I-80, making it very easy to find it. Combine a great location […] with the in-room refrigerator and microwave it is really convenient. We have never had a cleanliness issue and it is nice to walk into the room every year and not be afraid of what you might see...it's always nice. If you get a room rate that includes breakfast it is perfect. Not as chaotic as some hotels that have free continental breakfasts and there is a great selection. This was the first time i'd stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn. To summarize the stay in one word: AWESOME. The location was perfect (within a mile of the freeway). The hotel was brand new, hallways were clean and nicely decorated, the rooms were very well furnished (37" television, the beds were those air cushion beds so you can adjust the soft/hardness […] of the bed for both sides, bath tub was garden style and had lots of Neutragena products). When people were walking down the hall and talking, I could barely tell (very well insulation between rooms and the hallways). Breakfast was not included ($8.95, or you can reserve through Hilton and get it for $4), but I got it anyway. All you can eat french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon sausage, toast, muffins, sweet bread items, fresh oatmeal, yogurt, several grades of milk and coffee, tea....oh yeah if you ask, you can get a made-to-order omelet! This is my second time staying here for a school conference. The check-in was helpful and friendly. I loved my room. Their breakfast buffett is fantastic where the cook will make up anything you want fresh. It's a classy place with friendly staff that I would stay at again in a heartbeat.

Nice hotel at reasonable rates. Plenty of restaurants near by and easy access to interstate. A little dated, but the rates offset the decor. Clean and friendly staff.

We were disappointed that we could not find coffee or a sweet roll in the morning. Also, housekeeping came in at 8:00 in the morning. It was a pretty hotel, thank you.

Hilton,Hampton Inn,Hilton Garden Inn they are all good never had a problem and they are clean . The Hotel staff always takes care of your needs and if something is not right they work on it.

Everything in the hotel was superb except for the shower. The shower would not even get to luke warm. Told the staff and was offered a new room because of no maintenance personnel available. The offer was made by phone message to the room but did not take advantage of it based upon my late return to the room.

Very clean and comfortable. Ease of access was great.

We had a good stay here for two nights. We asked the desk clerk for a good 24 hour breakfast restaurant (local), and she said only Perkins and Village Inn served that often. We ended up going to the something Market on Lawnwood st.

Cookies never available!! Only the lure of an empty cookie tray........ Room comfort compromised by inadequate humidity control. No matter how high the air conditioning was everything felt damp. Also, there was no exhaust fan in the shower which made the situation worse.

The hotel was easy to find and was next to a great steak house. The hotel was very clean and bed was one of the best ever!

This was a great place to stay for a conference since it was next to the interstate and easy to find. It was close to many other key places and the nearness to the interstate made getting anywhere else easy in Des Moines. They have a fantastic breakfast buffett every morning. nice, clean hotel; comfortable room

This was a great stop-over for our trip! The hotel is right off the highway, but you don't hear/see it. There were several eating places nearby including the ever important Starbucks. The pool was small, but great for my 4 yr old niece. We really loved getting each have our own bed since the roll-away was complimentary. Really nice hotel. Clean, comfortable […] room. 더 보기

This was a great price on a very nice hotel. The bed was amazing, worth every penny. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was no complimentary breakfast for the price. They had the option of paying for their breakfast, but hey we did get a cookie at check in. Better then nothing. Overall great hotel!!!
