do you need lazy days in front of wonderful sea,swimming pool,open bar 24 hours just 500 metres form nightlife heart of Cancun?! this is a right place!!! <3

Upon arrival at the Riu Cancun, I was blow away by the grand lobby, the fantastic customer service, and the beautiful pool and ocean view. My room went way beyond meeting my standards. However, within an hour, all of this would be lost in the fact the food was absolutely horrible. I specifically stayed at an all-inclusive resort because I did not want […] to have to pay for food (or leave the hotel for that matter). It was not just a single meal that left a bad taste in my mouth, but rather repeated offenses by not only the main buffet (Don Juan), but by the other buffet (La MIssion), and the Reservation only Restaurants as well. It was not just a specific meal either. Breakfast and lunch were eaten at both buffets, dinner at the only buffet and the reservation restaurants as well. The "Snack Bar" was no relief from the disastrous food. The "hot dogs" looked rather red and diseased, and the burgers were wet and gray looking. In Mexico I did expect some decent nachos and cheese/queso, but I could get something better at a movie theater. The chips were beyond stale and the cheese tasted worse than Cheese Whiz. The best food I ate the entire time I was there was when I bought Mangoes from a guy selling them on the beach (Delicious!), and when I went across the street to a local restaurant (Mextreme) and had the best fish tacos I have ever eaten in my life. Let us not forget that the all-inclusive included alcohol. But with the drinks so watered down, there was no way to take advantage of the fact it was all free. You might as well be drink the water, you would at least feel something that way (kidding). My wife and I had to leave early after she contracted a horrible stomach bug. Could this be a direct correlation? We're not quite sure, but we will leave that up to future vacationers to decide. Again, the staff was great, the view was gorgeous, the beach spectacular, and the room was fantastic and super clean! My problem was I was having a hard time finding something to 더 보기

The food was excellent, the staff friendly. Everything clean and the beach beautiful! The only complaint we had was that they didn't go out of their way to explain things to first timers like us. We almost didn't get to the reserved dinner one night b/c they didn't explain that you had to reserve 3 days in advance. We got on a standby list though and […] did get to experience that too. This place was absolutely perfect. It was so fun and relaxing. The staff was so friendly, and the food was amazing. The beach was beautiful with very calm water, and the pools were very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was very clean and in a decent location. they had pool activities all day, the comments about the sun being blocked off are not true (we had sun by the pool all day). What i didn't like about the hotel were the beds. They were rock hard and i got back aches from laying in them for a week. The food was ok. there was a large variety of food […] in the buffet however 90% of the food was really bland - a huge let down for what i expected to eat in Mexico. The beach was so rocky that I couldnt walk on it at all! I got huge bruises on my legs from getting knocked over and then not even being able to stand again since it was so rocky! And then there was the restaurants... don't expect to eat in them bc of the 5 nights that i was there, they were all fully booked the entire time! There is no room service, they gave us double beds and said that a king was only available in an upgraded suite, which is not what the ad said, and good luck getting a spot by the pool bc its so over-packed all day that people reserve them at 7 a.m. and then leave for hours. Overall, i think i overpaid for the hotel. Next time, I think i'll try the Fiesta Americana 더 보기

We’re frequent travelers from Maryland with 3 college age children traveling for fun. The kids picked this hotel with its location as a plus being close to the main hotel area and the clubs downtown. Our oldest had just graduated and this was his trip so we had 3 rooms at the Riu for a week over Christmas 2010 The beds are ROCK Hard... but you can get […] a 1 inch foam pad and couple of blankets underneath make them alright. My single biggest disappointment with the Riu is that you cannot make dinner reservations on Monday morning for Monday night. If you go down to the reservation desk on Monday, there is a little gal that gives you the obligatory smile and tells you that she is taking reservations for next Wednesday or Thursday (don’t ask for anything else or you’ll be pushed out to the day after you leave- she can be a little cranky). We did get a reservation for 2 of our 7 night stay but the “Steak House’ was very disappointing and we only went one night... When you go to a "Steak House" you’d think that they would have something bigger than a 6 oz steak..??? Maybe that’s just me. We’ve been to other all inclusive’s that were about the same money that were much more accommodating with the dinner reservations. I do have to say the Don Juan buffet is VERY nice and they all have very good service staff. The staff everywhere but the reservation desk, was extremely helpful and worked as hard as anywhere we been to please the customers. The pools are NOT heated so if you go over Christmas like we did don’t expect to spend much time in the pool they’re just a little too cold. (my wife did not get into the pools even one time during our stay... too cold) There is no hot tub type of spa either... the spa’s have the same cold water that the pools have. One last thing is that they only have Pepsi (NO Coke) so the drinks are a little too sweet and there is only Dos XX beer. I’m not sure if I’d recommend this hotel to one of my friends… 더 보기

When we first arived to the hotel we had some problems checking in, but it wasnt the hotels fault. Well I guess I'll start with the not so good (not many)... The beds are hard and the rooms are very plain (that's to be expected in Mexico). The room doesn't have many decorations either. Within walking distance from shops, clubs, banks, restaurants, and other things. The beach is long and well kept. They have tons of chairs both by the nice pools and on the beach. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Our 18 month old got sick and the front desk people were helpful in getting us a doctor. They also waived the hotel fee for checking out early the room was very damp and the sheets and bedding were mildewed.

Food was very good. There were a few restaurants to choose from. Drinks were offered at various locations and there was no need to worry about having your wallet. The hotel was very clean and HUGE. They have different pools and two basic spots on the beach.

Gostei bastante de minha estadia no hotel Riu Cancun. É um hotel muito grande, prefiro hotéis menores e mais charmosos, porém o serviço de atendimento nos bares, restaurantes, recepção e quartos foi muito bom.

Hotel Fantastico!! Único ponto a ser melhorado é a diversidade de restaurantes. Os hotéis em Cancun normalmente oferecem 7 ou 8 restaurantes diferentes. Passei a minha Lua de Mel no Hotel e tudo foi simplesmente perfeito. O atendimento dos funcionários, a comida é muito boa, apenas o restaurante japonês deixou um pouco a desejar, só por conta do que estamos acostumados com os restaurantes japonês no Brasil, e não pela comida que também é boa. O hotel é bem localizado. Os atendentes muito atenciosos. Vale a pena ! O unico senão é que encontrei alguns funcionarios que usavam o banheiro sem lavar a mão na entrada e na saida. No mais tudo de bom !!!

El hotel esta ubicado en el corazon de las discotek y bares. Tiene una vista preciosa ya quedes viendo la laguna o al mar. La piscina es muy bonita y la playa esta bien y lo mejor es que tiene unamar tranquilo. El buffete esta muy bien, mejor que otros hoteles de la zona e incluso al riviera. El personal muy atento. O Hotel é muito bom, excelente localização, dá pra ir a pé nas boates e no comércio. Caso não queira andar, pegue um ônibus turístico que passa na porta, mas nem precisa. É confiável e muito bom.
