This is a classic spa hotel built around natural mineral springs, and it has the slightly formal (without being stuffy) atmosphere of a bygone era. The staff were friendly and accommodating, including honoring our request for early check-in (since we had only one night and had to leave early the next day); they even upgraded our room one level. The […] room had a charming, unique layout that included stairs up to the bed (so if anyone has difficulty with stairs they should request a one-level room). The two mineral pools, sauna, and Turkish bath are all included in the room charge and were absolutely lovely; we spent hours in the warm pools. Rooms have free wired internet; wi-fi is available elsewhere in the building (but this is a place to get away from all that). A substantial buffet breakfast is included; the dining room is also open for lunch and dinner, but we chose to dine in a less formal atmosphere. The town square is across the street, and you'll find 3 or 4 restaurants, a couple small grocers, a liquor store, a pasticceria, a gelateria, and not much more. It's a lovely, lovely getaway. 더 보기

First impression definitely not 5* with tiny dark room, nowhere to put things in bathroom, nothing like the online pictures. However after insisting on new room we were moved next day to beautiful spacious quiet room with plenty of light and lovely view. The hotel is in a impressive period villa with great gardens and an olive walk up a hill to a superb […] view of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The spa is good especially the relaxing thermal pools and the steam room. Dr Patrizia is a gem, dispensing practical advice with firmness and humour.The dressing rooms are cramped with only one shower with shampoo etc., for which you may have to queue. The breakfast is one of the best we have come across. The Staff were helpful throughout. Verdict: beautiful hotel and healing spa in brilliant location for the great towns, little villages, wild mountains and seaside of Tuscany. Has potential to live up to its 5* category but some bedrooms and the spa dressing room need an upgrade. Friendly staff and relaxing village with welcoming locals. We have booked other luxury hotels through hotels.com and they have always exceeded our expectations which maybe why our initial reaction to this one was so disappointing. However it is a beautiful place with only one or two areas not yet 5*. 더 보기

Rengøringen generelt i det daglige, var mangelfuld. Generelt var bad og værelser slidt. (skimmel i hjørner, knækkede og løse klinker, løst armatur og dårlige møbler). Personalet oplyste ikke at gaden blev spærret af to gange i løbet af ugen, grundet markeder, så vi kunne ikke komme ud med vores bil og se andre områder de dage. Byen som hotellet ligger […] i, er meget øde. Der er ikke butikker som man forventer, der er to spisesteder, ud over hotellet. Hotellet har dog nogle super behandlingeri deres spaprogram, men poolområder og div. er mere end slidt. Der findes kun varmvandspool, så en kold dukkert i varmen, foregår under den kolde bruser. Et lyspunkt at fortælle. Vi fandt i en nærliggende by en restaurant med eget 3-stjernet hotel, som hedder Da Carlos. Super restaurant og super betjening. Glade ansatte og tid til deres kunder. Un magnifique endroit pour se détendre en profitant de la piscine thermale extérieure, des thermes intérieurs, de la vue splendide sur Pise dans les hauteurs du jardin. Le personnel est aux petits soins pour vous, parlent français ou anglais. Excellent buffet et cuisine. plusieurs restaurants sympas dans le village. A déconseiller avec de jeunes enfants […] : c'est un hôtel de cure. 더 보기

Dejligt hotel med mange gode muligheder for dem som bare vil slappe af. Der er ikke så meget at se i byen, men den ligger tæt på Pisa og en smuk by ved navnet Lucca. Vi vender helt klart tilbage.
