Although it was a great location and the hotel staff is very nice, the room was extremely small. It wasn't too bad, as we didn't spend much time int he room, but what I could not stand was that there was no AC or it didn't work!!! When I told the receptionist that it was hot inthe room (at 9am) she didn't seem able to do anything (or even care)... Other […] than that, location as I mentioned was great!!! 더 보기

A small hotel just of Plaza del Sol in the center of Madrid. Clean and basic. Don't expect large rooms. As noted by others, the area is a hub of activity that goes until the wee hours of the morning. So sleeping with your window open is a no-no if you are a light sleeper. Also, the hotel is used by young adults who are there to partake of the nightlife […] on the plaza a surrounding area. Noise from one unit to the next is easily transmitted through the walls. Parking is not available at the hotel although there is an underground garage about one block south of Plaza del Sol and there is on-street parking to the north about a block away (although it was usually full while we were there). This hotel is in a great location. We flew into madrid and took the subway to the puerta del sol stop. This hotel is right across the street. It is a few blocks from plaza mayor, and palacio real. Also right up the street from san giros. We resrved a room for 3 people and the room was so small that it barely fit us with our luggage. There was no Air Condition and we have to open the window to get some cooling. 2 of us ended up with a cold. During the day while the window was closed (when we were out) the room was really hot.

I was slightly disappointed to this hotel. I was on a city vacation with my friend and I had specifically asked for two separate beds, but instead we got one big bed with only one cover. This was a bit annoying. The room was also very very small and it was really hard to fit our luggages anywhere. When we arrived we also discovered that the cleaning […] lady apparently forgot to take out the trash from our room. I wonder why this hotel is called high tech hotel, because none of the technology in the room seemed to work: our tv was out of order, shower didn't work properly, room key stoped working... The only really good thing with this hotel was the location. It is situated just next to Puerta del Sol, so it was really easy to get around. What surprised me was that even though the hotel was located on very lively street you couldn't hear the sound inside the hotel. Free wifi around the hotel was also a merit. 더 보기

We were very pleased with the room. We were especially pleased with the helpfulness of the people who worked at the front counter.

The location is perfect,the hotel was not needs a complete revamp,breakfast ok.

We knew we wanted to be in the heart of Madrid, and Puerto del Sol was it. What we got was a lot of noise, round the clock. Our room was stuffy with a air conditioner that didn't do the job, but we had the option of cooling by opening skylights. However, this let more noise come in from the street below. Another thing was the hard beds, which I found […] in other hotels during our vacation. I guess that is the norm. Luckily, we did not stay in much, and did not use any of the other hotel facilities. Good hotel, for city break . Glass bathroom doors not a good idea. My friends/familywould not like it. Breakfast and tea room needs to be looked into for the customer needs.

The PPalace was really nice, clean and has a serviceable staff. I would suggest it to anyone. In the mix of everything.

The room we were given on arrival was just appalling.It was so narrow that one side of the bed was pushed up against the wall and one of us had to shuffle down the bed to get out in the middle of the night. Actually it was really dangerous because about 2 metres from the end of the bed there was a wire from the tv which was up on a pillar which crossed […] a gap to the power point at neck height which you could have garrotted yourself on! We made a real fuss, but of course there were no other rooms available. However, to their credit, they found us a better room for the next 2 nights &actually the staff were very pleasant. The breakfast was ok and the position of the hotel was great for tourists. It was a very functional hotel,nothing luxurious or "hi-tech " about it. 더 보기

Response was always so quick and attentive. Very helpful. Great location.

The location was great, staff was friendly, but there was really bad odor in the room every time we returned. We had to sleep with windows open. My spouse thinks she heard a mouse too. But I think it was just being predisposed because of the bad odor that came from the bathroom ceiling.

This hotel has a great central location that is just steps from the Metro. The noise during the night from the Plaza bothered my friend but I slept through it. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is ok, nothing special. The good points first, location, location and location. Bad - The room was extremely hot - A/C was switched off. The finishing of the hotel was poor, floor boards with gaps and everything was falling apart, plug sockets faces. The Bathroom does not have a lock and the door is see through. Made from glass. The A/C did not work properly. It was either on or off. No thermostat. The room was dirty and dark. The hotel is old in general. The hotel staff not friendly or helpful. When we asked them about taxis being available early in the morning, their response was, I am not a taxi driver. They called a taxi for us in the morning and the taxi driver charged […] us an additional 7E. in general, the taxi drivers at the airport are all crooks. We had to take a taxi to the airport four times during our trip and every time, they took advantage of us invariably. 더 보기

This hotel does not live up to the pictures. It has a great location (if you don't mind having to haul your luggage across the very crowded Puerta del Sol plaza, because taxis can only drop you off at the far edge, a good 500 yards from the hotel's entrance). However, the hotel itself is a bit run down. They bill themselves as a high tech hotel, but […] their internet access was spotty at best, they had limited television channels and those were only in Spanish (so no international or financial news access), the sink in our room was broken, they only had two outlets in the entire room you could use for recharging anything and one was set 4 feet up the wall without any place close by to put your stuff. On the plus side, the receptionists were nice, the room was clean and well lighted (although very small) and the bathroom shower was to die for (wall, hand and rain shower options) although it did leak heavily onto the floor and the ceiling paper was peeling a bit in a couple of places. The Puerta del Sol plaza has a great Metro stop, taxi stands, banks, fast food and grocery store (Engles des Cortes, basement floor for groceries). Too, you can walk to just about all major attractions in just 20 minutes. This hotel has such a prime location, that all in all, if you are just looking for an okay place to store your stuff while you're out enjoying the city, I would recommend it. Just try not to pay too much - or spend a lot of time in your room awake - or you'll be disappointed. 더 보기

The htel was excellently situated. The staff were friendly and helpful, rooms clean and breakfast good. Would recommend to anyone on a short break to Madrid.

Gives you a great central location in the city. One of the only hotels affordable with a triple room. It worked out well for us.

All of the front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful with questions or requests. There are two computers in the lobby where you can access the internet, but neither seemed to be working at any point in time. However, the hotel does offer free wireless service. The rooms have hardwood floors, and you can definitely hear whatever is going […] on in the hallway. But that did not bother our group it at all. The beds were clean, but the mattresses were quite stiff. The vanities in the rooms are separated by a frosted glass door so there is not much privacy. There are no English channels on the TV. But you can;t beat the location. Just steps from Puerta del Sol and a 5 minute walk to Plaza Mayor. The hotel is fine and has nice amenities such as free internet in the lobby. The staff was ok, but varied in their helpfulness. We did not feel like the air conditioning worked very well.

This hotel is in a great location, steps from La Puerta del Sol, shopping area, metro station, and a lot of restaurants. This is a modern stile hotel with very cool fixtures but my room was a little deteriorated and I do not have any view from the window. That part was fine for a one-night stay.

As I had read before, the service at the front desk was not all that friendly. But the location was amazing. I didn't have to take a bus or taxi all weekend. It's an amazing spot for someone who wants to go out on the town. The rooms were clean and there were no problems with the clear shower as others have written. Hotel muito bem localizado. Hotel limpo e organizado.

Kan man lide at være tæt på alt, er dette hotellet man skal vælge, dog kan der i natte timerne være lidt gadestø,j ikke trafikalt da det er en gågade, men fra glade mennesker.

Flott beligenhet på hotellet. Rommet var fint, men badet kunne vært oppgradert. Slitt.. Lå mitt i handle mekka. God frokost.

Et godt hotel til en miniferie i Madrid. En super beliggenhed midt på gågaden uden at det betød for meget larm på værelset. Gåafstand til alle seværdigheder og shopping og let adgang til metro og bus. God service og ok rengøring, dog kunne der godt bruge en støvklud men ellers intet at klage over.

Hotellet er rimelig godt, og svarer måske til sine tre stjerner, mens prisen signalerer 4 stjerner, hvilket må skyldes hotellets centrale beliggenhed. Hotellet er generelt slidt og morgenmaden serveres i et usselt kælderlokale, der er under et trestjernet hotels værdighed. Excellent situation sur la Puerta del Sol - Soirées tres espagnoles avec une foule incroyable ( c'était le 31 décembre) du coup hotel bruyant même avec le double vitrage mais c'est le prix à payer pour rayonner à pieds dans Madrid - A recommander quand même.

Hotel con un mantenimiento deficiente, bastante deteriorado. Al llegar la habitación se notaba que hacia dias que estaba cerrada y habia polvo por todos los rincones: en el armario sobretodo, por lo que no pudimos sacar la ropa de las maletas, la limpieza de la habitación el segundo dia fue mejor porque avisamos al personal de limpieza directamente. El […] baño muy justo: al llegar avisamos que la mampara de la ducha estaba en mal estado y no nos hicieron caso a la mañana siguiente se descolgo con uno de los dos niños dentro, no paso nada porque el niño no estaba solo, el parquet estaba levantado y lleno de humedad. Al desenchufar un aparato electrico el enchufe cedio y se rompio. La habitación familiar muy adecuada a familias con niños pequeños no es.El personal muy agradable y atento pero poco resolutivo. Hadde booket 4 netter. Første natten med dårlig søvn pga mye støy i bakgate mot el corte ingles. Hele natten bråk fra søppelbiler, feiebiler,varebiler o.l. Rommet luktet kloakk fra sluket på badet. Veldig dårlig rengjort og nedslitt. Neste morgen forespurte vi resepsjonist om bytte av rom. Vi ble møtt vennlig og fikk byttet til toppetasje med en gang. […] Et mindre rom med flott utsikt mot puerte del sol. Med stor terasse. Mindre slitt og bdre rengjort. Men alikevel mye støy fra gate, men hyggelig "folkestøy", ekstremt oppvarmet rom som ikke var mulig å slå av. (i november) . Fin beliggenhet til gågate, t-bane ol. lettvint i forhold til å være med barn. Vil ikke fraråde folk fra hotellet. Hyggelig betjening. Men vil velge et annet hotell neste gang. 더 보기

Rigtigt meget value for money. Ligger lige i smørhullet. God komfort. God morgenmad til billige penge. Gratis wifi.

Cet hôtel se veut design mais il est en mauvais état. La chambre avait de nombreux soucis, notamment le parquet de la salle de bain qui était décollé. Ne surtout pas le choisir pour un voyage d'affaires, les touristes rentrent tard et font du bruit la nuit.
