Upon check in there was no record of my having paid for 2 of my 3 night stay because I had two separate reservations, one booked directly with the Hyatt and the other with Hotels.comThe problem was soon rectified

Great Room and Great Service. Part of the Hyatt SB, so was able to use all the amenities of that hotel, which is a short walk. Only issue is the parking lot is pretty tight, so if you have a big SUV or truck, you might have to park on the street.

We r styed at the second floor, the receptionis said it wiuld be quite at the second floor, but it wasn't because the neighbourhood had a party in the room and so noisy.

Pleasantly surprised with fridge and microwave in room. Hyatt staff was kind and helpful.

Yes, the room was clean and quiet - even though a bit on the small side, but we were very disappointed that there was no pool (we had to walk 2 blocks to use the one at the Hyatt - who BTW runs this facility). We considered upgrading to be closer to the facilities, but... 4 calls and more than 40 minutes later no one had called us back to discuss the […] option. The same happened again on our check out date when we asked for a late check out and were told that the receptionist would call us back... and we never heard from her again. This is the first time in years of using hotels.com that I have been treated like a 2nd rate guest. 더 보기

I was traveling on business and at the last minute I realized that I needed a room to stay for the night. I got on my iPad and booked this room. Nowhere on the page did it state that I needed to check in at the Hyatt hotel, down the street. I had arrived TIRED to the hotel, unloaded my trunk with my luggage, purse and brief case and arrived to the gate […] where there is a tiny sign that reads that you have to first check in at the Hyatt down the street. I was not happy about reloading my things in my trunk to check in down the street. That should be screaming at you on the website where you book the hotel. I was lucky that this happened to me while there was still sunlight outside. I would not have felt very safe doing this if it had been dark outside. 더 보기

It is easy and convenient when traveling with a pet. There is a park across the street and the beach is a few blocks away.

Very nice, clean room. I could walk on the carpet barefoot. Close to freeway but could not hear traffice with window closed. About 2 blocks to beach - nice walk. Linens were very nice. The TV should be upgraded...but were didn't watch much so it was OK. We will go again for sure.

We were so surprised to find it was connected to the Hyatt with pet friendly comfort. Across the street from the park, Santa Barbara Zoo and walking distance to the Hyatt restaurant and other features. Walking distance to the beach and if you are game; walking distrance to the wharf. I will certainly go back.

Basic, clean, comfortable bed, no view except neighbors concrete wall, but for the price, no complaints. I would definitely stay there again when passing through Santa Barbara.

We chose this hotel because they allowed our dog. They charged $75.00 above the room rate as a cleaning fee. The hotel was totally ok. It was slightly inconvienient to have to register around the block... But that was ok. In order to have our dog with us. When we got to the room.... It appeared clean and had NO smells that we found... But, our dog […] immediately found a VERY hard muffin under the bed. This only led us to believe that the extra cleaning fee for the dog was in fact... just extra revenue for the hotel... They clearly did not do anything extra before we got there... or after we left. But we paid 75 dollars for the privilage of having our dog with us. Again... A very ok hotel for dog people... And it was worth it to us..;. But finding the bisquit right away... told us that they did not clean any better than any other hotel!!! dog or NO dog 더 보기

Upon arriving at the hotel, there is only a parking lot and a gated entrance. No check in lobby or entrance. If it hadn't been for another car that pulled into the parking lot I would have been completely lost as to how to register to receive my room and key. I was informed by the people in the car that registration was to be done at the Hyatt Hotel […] a block away from the Parkside Inn. The room is very small and the bathroom has very little area for toiletries. The foom had a musty oder to it. The heater is a combination air conditioner and heater which is extremely noisy. 더 보기

When I read the reviews for this hotel I was a little wary but when we arrived I was really shocked. It was really nice! We had a large balcony that had two sliding glass doors a couch, a table, a nice closet, nice furnishings and free parking. We used all the amenities of the Hyatt including the breakfast and pool. The location was amazing. It was […] almost in Montecito and a block from the beach. its very walkable, and if your into exercise a great location for a run. For a 2 star hotel this was a pleasant surprise. I would absolutely stay again if I needed to go on a quick trip to SB and wanted to save $$. Cons: The bathroom was small and the bed was hard but that is really my only complaint. I mean its not the Ritz but it could sneak by as a 3 or 4 star in other cities like Vegas or San Diego. 더 보기

Horrible experience. Felt dirty, poor amenities, dogs barking all night from house next door. This is not a hotel - it is a motel. Even had a blue recycle bin in the room?! Not worth the price. I felt dirty just being there. Smelled.

The price for the comfort and location can't be beat in Santa Barbara. 3 Blocks from East Beach and very central for any other sights. This is the best accomodation deal in Santa Barbara for sure,

Very clean, that's the best I can say about it. This was a dark and drab little motel room. It's next to a public baseball diamond. Homeless folks come and park their RVs there in the early morning (not that we were worried about it- this place feels pretty secure). The beds were old and uncomfortable. smelled funky like a wet cigarette or something...smell was becoming worse at times ...smell was especially noticeable while laying on bed, but entire room smelled bad. otherwise...a great deal!!

All 3 rooms we reserved were different; mine had a small refrigerator the others did not. We checked in on a Thursday and it did not appear full. At about 2:30 AM someone on the floor above ran down the hallway. I heard it on the first floor as did my friend in the room above mine. Otherwise, it was clean and a very good buy. You do have to go to another […] location to check in and there is no one on site, if you need assistance immediately. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient with our check in process. Good address and service

Nice stay at this hotel. I liked the balcony off of the room and the access to the pool at the Hyatt. The staff at the Hyatt was extremely friendly as well. Plenty of parking, there were a few homeless people in the park across the street, but not a big deal.

We had a nice stay at the Parkside Inn. I'm a local but stayed there with some friends visiting over the weekend for the Santa Barbara marathon. Although the hotel is a little older, the rooms have been nicely updated. Rooms were very clean and they have a fridge and microwave. I love that you can use the amenities at the Hyatt and even order Hyatt […] room service. The hotel was close to the beach and downtown. Also has free off street parking. Overall we had a nice stay and I would recommend Parkside Inn. 더 보기

It's not fancy, but it is clean and comfortable. Run by the Hyatt hotel next door. I would stay there again for sure.

The check in for this small hotel is at the Santa Barbara Hyatt, which nobody had let me know about ahead of time. I wasn't pleased with the dustiness of the bathroom, although the size of the room was about 40% larger than other even more expensive hotels in that area that I've stayed in. I wouldn't return there.

The room was small and tucked part way under a stairwell, which made it smaller than the other rooms in the remote building site. We were not told this at the time of booking. The table in the room was small and the chairs to be used with it were rod iron with little cushioning, almost unusable. Book with much caution. ok hotel - no problems

The hotels a branch of the Hyett so you get to use their amenities and facilities. And the staff was all very accommodating and friendly.

This hotel is a great value for the money. Even though it is out of the ordinary to check-in at one hotel and stay in another, it is still convenient. Guests are also entitled to any of the facilities at the Hyatt. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definately stay there again.

You have to go down the street and around the corner to check in at the Hyatt. Room was a little noisy but otherwise nicely appointed.

great location, great price. pleasant 5-minute walk to fess parker doubletree if you are attending a conference there, and only a third of the price. only downside: no reception. walk 2-3 minutes to the hyatt if you need anything. i had to do this on each of the two nights i stayed because both my keys got demagnetized!! Once at 10 pm and once at 12 […] midnight!! quite annoying. I'm pretty sure I didn't keep them near the cellphone or other cards. the man at the reception said some cards were weaker than others. why can't they replace them then?! This is a hidden gem! It's in a great location right across from the beach and you get all of the amenities of the nearby Hyatt Hotel!

The hotel staff was outstanding from the check-in to the staff, who maintains the rooms. Since I had a business meeting in Santa Barbara, I arrived early and needed to change my clothes. The staff was extremely helpful in getting a room ready for me. The hotel is associated with the Hyatt Hotel and a short walk to the ocean. Good location at least […] for me. 더 보기

You're next to a great community park, and walking distance to the beach. I was in town for a wedding at the Fess Parker. The Parkside Inn was a waaaaaay cheaper, and saved me a ton over three nights which I promptly spent at the bars. Sure, there are no real amenities on site, but the bed was super comfy, the room was big, and everything you needed […] in the room was there. I even ordered room service and they were there in 20-30 minutes from down the street. Well done. 더 보기

Hotelr was hard to find and then you had to go to another hotel to register. Our rooom could of used a better cleaning, and was at best poorly maintained

I really like the location of this hotel, it's close to the Zoo, to the beach, and there is a park right across the street. It's affordable, the room was very clean, it's nice and quiet and away from major streets. Something you might not like about this place: It's not connected to the main hotel, this is where the pool, registration and restaurant […] are located. It's still walking distance but the staff are nice enough to give you a ride back in a golf cart and the guys that check you in are not bad looking at all lol! ONE More thing they have the balcony facing the beach and park not bad, but didn't care to use it since it was full of spider webs and all kinds of spiders... definitely needs to be cleaned. 더 보기

this is a very nice property, there is one review I saw that was negative. It should be ignored. Whenever I am in Santa Barbara again, I will stay at the Parkside

We were not told by Hotels.com that this Inn was a really the Hyatt. So we used GPS to find the place, parked, looked in vain for the front desk in the dark. We finally realized after finding and deciphering the sign (it was 10pm by then) that we had to go to the Hyatt to check in. We drove there. (If the Hyatt provided a map of the area on a sign […] then we could have walked) There was a charge for wifi. If you wanted breakfast they wanted money (there was a bowl of apples at checkout). The maid knocked on our door at 8:30am (we didn't hang the do not disturb sign, it wasn't needed at the other 3 hotels we stayed at during our trip) and woke us up. The hotel generously supplied large bottles of Aquafina for us, If we wanted $5 added to our hotel bill~ridiculous, that's not even fancy water! We called this place hotel annoying. We would not stay there again. I'd rather stay around the corner at motel 6 where they had free wifi and continental breakfast. 더 보기

Appears to have been taken over by a major chain where you have to book in, its just around corner. Excellent room, very clean and comfortable. Just stayed in Santa Barbara for one night. Bit disappointed that it was a long walk to any restaurants but still excellent value. Would stay there again.

Well firstly was a very poor disign for parking, very dark room, bed uncomfortable, my husband had to bend over while showering , shower head was way too short my husband is 5'8 not a comfortable shower at all, Talked to the women that was going to clean the room and she didnt speak a lick of ENGLISH, didnt clean the room @ all and several times during […] the night my door handle giggled as if someone were tring to get in, yes all in all not a great motel, No pool or vending machines ? 더 보기

We booked our hotel for Labor Day, so we had no other choice to stay at the Parkside. We paid alot of money, and was fairly disappointed in the quality, size, and cleanliness of the room. Parkside is an extension of the Hyatt- so that is probably why it was on the pricier end.
