For a last minute booking, everything went very smooth. Room was very nice and clean. Unfortunately, the breakfast just OK??

Hotel was dated, but comfortable and clean. For the money it was great. Room was good size. Bed was comfortable. There was a refrigerator in our room. We were there in April (off season ) very quit.

Great place for the money- Pretty close to anything you want to do. Will go again!

The Ambassador Inn and Suites is awkwardly situated across from a major supermarket and between suburban shopping centers, but I was pleased to find a spacious and clean room once inside. Nothing fancy, but affordable and well-situated for my conference at RI Community College.

The room was very large and comfortable. The bed was excellent. My only complaint was the breakfast that was supposed to be included was non-existant.

We got a room last minute at this hotel for St. Patrick's Day. The location was fine for what we needed, lots of stores & restaurants within walking distance. The outside of the hotel is rundown, when we arrived I was a little worried. Checking was fast with no problems. We then had to change rooms twice, once b/c the first room had 2 double beds, we […] had requested 1 king. And then the second room he put us in had lounge chairs stacked up in it. We finally got settled into room 209, it was HUGE! Had a desk & chair. Love seat, another couch & lots if room! The view was of the parking lot. The hearing/cooling system was very outdated & the bathroom was small. There was a flats screen tv in the room. We had gone down to the front desk to ask for ice, which we were then told " we don't carry ice in the winter." really ?!!?? The next morning the breakfast was below par. Juice was watered down, and the machine read " replace" my boyfriend told the man at the desk and he responded with " it always says that." This hotel has a lot if potential, but needs someone taking care of it who actually takes pride in it. The same man made our reservation over the phone 10am on the 17, checked us into room(s) at 3pm, told us there was no ice at 5pm, and was still roaming around lobby of hotel we we returned fit our night out 1am & checked us out the next day 12noon! 더 보기

first i was told over the phone that the earlys time i can ck in was 11:00 i wanted to get in the hotel early the receptionest was in a bad mood had to help housekeeping clean the room he was short staff but that didnt give him the right to act like he didn"t care about my reservationes . the bed was small and it wasn"t cheap, next time i"ll go to motel […] 6 it"s much better this was the worst hotel ive been in. 더 보기

The person who greeted us was not friendly and difficult to understand. We forgot a few items in our room, when we called to ask if they had found them, they simply said "NO" and offered no further reassurance on getting them back. Other than that, it accomadated our one night need.

Great Value...Best deal I found! Close to Newport, but not too close! Great area, Food Store, restauraunts, Coffee shops, all within sight! Clean, well maintained, and exactly as pictured. GREAT PRICE!

The hotel itself was fine but the customer service was very poor. There was only one worker there besides the cleaning staff. More than half the time he was not at the front desk, you had to call him over with a phone and he didn't even always come right away. We had a problem with one of our room keys more than once and he never gave us a new one, […] he would just come up and unlock the room himself. We had a huge problem in the middle of the night when at 2 in the morning the girls across the hall decided to bang very loudly on the door of their room trying to get in a wake up whoever was in there to let them in. It sounded like they were trying to knock the door down and it lasted for almost half an hour. i tried to call the desk and complain, no answer. There was nothing we could do about it. We couldn't have been the only people woken up by that and there was nothing anyone could do about it. The "continental breakfast" was pathetic. It was miniature bagels, mini donuts, white bread, 4 types of cereal, and waffles that you make yourself with the waffle maker. Half the time there was almost nothing left because the man at the desk was gone somewhere and he would bring the food over. to drink there was milk, cranberry juice, coffee, and orange juice. the entire weekend the orange juice was water even though the man was told it wasn't working. He didn't fix it until and old lady kept complaining to him that it and the coffee was not working and he never even fixed the coffee. the toaster for the bagels was broken and you had to stick something in it to get your bagels out. It was just pathetic. when we were going to check out of course the man was not at the desk, there was a box on the desk that said "please leave your keys at checkout, thanks" Shouldn't there always be someone at the desk to help guests who have a problem any time any day? Front desk person said they do not have any extra tissues to provide us. The continental breakfast consisted of watered down coffee and defrosted frozen bagels. No thought was put into it. No one around at checkout. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was very clean better than at any other hotel we have stayed at on our trip. The front desk was very nice and helpful. Housekeeping was nice and it is very close to Newport RI which was perfect for visiting the Tennis Hall of Fame and the Mansions.

If you need just a place to stay for one night, then it is okay. Don't expect too much. There is free coffee, but taste like water. There is a waffle maker, but no waffle available. Make sure to check the bed sheet too, because I found possible blood stain on mine. Looks like someone broke her ... and left the stain on it. This hotel is a very excellent value for the price. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and much larger than what you would expect. There is a free internet connection in the lobby, but besides that you are not going to find too many amenities in this place. This hotel does what you expect: provide an inexpensive place to lay down your head after taking in all the sights in southern Rhode Island. Kids loved the waffle maker in the continental breakfast.

This hotel was a 5 minute drive to downtown Newport. It was a decent hotel. They had waffles, bagels, cereal, juices and coffee for breakfast. I would stay here again. The only real complaint I have was there was an odor in the main lobby.

The hotel is an econo lodge and you get what you expect. We were only there for a few hours and it was clean which is what we wanted.

Very good hotel for the price. Our room was newly renovated and very clean. Good complimentary breakfast. We were there only overnite so did not require alot of amenities. There was a nice pool. Very convenient location to Newport.

Einfaches Hotel mit dem typischen dicken muffigen Teppich überall. Zimmer typisch und ok. Typisches US-Motel Frühstück. Menge ok. Es wurde nachgelegt. Raum groß genug. Pool ok. Lage am Highway. The ratio price/quality is great. The room was very large, the position is 5 minutes drive from Newport downtown along the main route. Easy to find.
