Great location, beach access, boat docking, clean rooms-grounds and pool. Little pricey but location makes it worth it. Was a little disappointed that they did not tell us we would be charged pere night for cot in room up front.

I should have trusted my instincts when I read other reviews. We can stay a entire week at the ocean in 2 bdrm condo for what we paid here for 2 nites! Then when checking out (checking out not checking in!) We were told that our initial charge was only for 2 people and we had to pay $$ more money per person per nite plus fees and taxes. Supposedly this […] is in contract which I have not located. The Jaccuzzi tub had black mold in it. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and comforter was dirty. The bathroom smelled of mildew. Our "courtyard View" was an alley and the building in front ( with a closed down Restaurant). We were not impressed, This is definetly not a "Resort". 더 보기

We were attracted to this Hotel because of the pools and the beach on the lake. Just because the word "Resort" is attached to the name doesn't mean you should pay more. The beds were not comfortable and had cheap fitted sheets. The lake wasn't swimworthy but the pools were nice. For the price I would expect much more than the complementary breakfast […] that was provided. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were on a girls' getaway and enjoyed the lack of hustle and bustle and the upgrade to a room with a view of the bay and a balcony. The staff was nice and helpful. The resort's website needs updating badly. We would have been very disappointed if we were going to enjoy the "private beach" which was 50ft long by 10ft deep at a 45 degree angle and the […] water had plenty of string algae. There was no restaurant or bar, those seemed to have been closed for some time. That was fine, we enjoyed trying out a variety of eateries. Overall, we had a great time but update the website so others won't be disappointed! 더 보기

Not a good place for drive through couple. It might be better for a family who wanted to stay a few days. Everything was clean but needed updating.

First time vistor to Sandusky, Ohio. As Marylanders, we travel there to visit the world famous Cedar Point Amusement Park. Although the hotelt was a little remote for teenaged young men who wanted the excitement of the busy strip that Exit 250 provided, we nevertheless had a wonderful time. Stayed for Memorial Day weekend 2011. It seems that the room must have suffered from a previous guest because it stunk like nothing else. Fortunately, my girlfriend and I had brought Lysol along and were able to overcome the musty odor. I think the smell was coming from the carpet and I'd wager that someone had cleaned fish in the room previously. Luckily, […] we only stayed in the room at night to sleep and spent most of our day at Put-in Bay. The area was nice and this hotel was quiet. There was some noise from other guests, but nothing beyond what is to be expected. The facilities were adequate and the sheets/towels were clean. Overall, I'd say that the stay was nice. I imagine that room 313 just needs a thorough cleaning to overcome the odor. The hotel does require that you wear a silicone bracelet when using any of the hotel's recreational facilities. It seems that they have locals abusing those assets and this is a way to identify paying guests. It wasn't a big deal to my girlfriend or I. Were it not for the smelly room, I'd rate the overall experience as a 4.5. The employees were friendly and I had no other complaints. 더 보기

This was a very clean place we were the only guest there were treated very well! Had three pools to our self!

Wonderful hotel! Close to Marblehead, Lakeside, and ferry to Put-in-Bay. Has great pier you can walk on out to the bay!

The staff wasn't very friendly and we weren't greeted right away upon arrival. They don;t staff the main entrance accordingly to greet guests or anwer questions. The main high rise building was ok, a trypical hotel. However, the grounds w/cabins on the way to the pools and then Lake Erie felt like a campground/trailer park setting. We didn't feel welcome […] or comfortable. Overall, the main building and room were fairly clean. It was noisy when the floor above showered but, things seem to settle down as the night went on. For the price, I was expecting a bit more. Beds were below average, room was clean, but average. grounds and location were nice. Great if you have a boat moored there at the hotel. Overall- nothing to write home about.

This hotel is surrounded on either side by low income housing and trailers. When we arrived there was a crew of young teens checking out our vehicle commenting on our "nice ride". While the hotel itself was beautiful the front door is locked at 10pm- would have been nice to know we had to check in prior to 10 (we got there at 10:10). We'd had a very […] long day at Cedar Point and were hungry. When we asked the clerk for a list of pizza places the clerk informed us there was a phone book in our room. When we asked for additional information on the pools and lake activities we were informed we could look at the grounds in the morning. While the hotel was clean the room smelled a little funny, a mix of garlic and campfire smoke???. The breakfast was terrible, stale pastries, sour/warm milk and generic cereal. A good place to stay if you want a comfortable room. Amenities are seasonal so be sure and ask whats available when reserving. WIthin driving distance of all the scenic and amusements. Rooms were quiet even people staying in the next rooms.

Great location on bay in Marblehead - Pools (3) were nice & clean, one pool is a Quiet Pool, no splashing "your kids like splashing in the no-splashing pool?" He was a little grumpy but other staff was pleasant and recommending dining options & directions. Room(s) were clean, however bad odor in 1st room (pet smell?) they said was wet fire retardent […] carpet, but so bad we asked to be moved next morning, and we were accomodated however they were not apologetic. New room was fine and I felt a good value. Cold breakfast, toast, bagels, danish, juice & cereal but complimentary so how can you complain? Docks out onto water - sandy beach but saw several snakes sunning on the rocks - did not go into water. Tennis court, basketball, volleyball, shuffle board horseshoes - cottages available. Lots to keep you busy just at the resort alone and lots to do with 20 minutes drive. African Zoo Safari, the Lighthouse, State Park, Cedarpoint, or even just the Cedarpoint Beach was beautiful. Very friendly staff. Simple room. Fantastic beach/water area. Relaxing.
