신주쿠 뉴시티 호텔 (Shinjuku New City Hotel) - 도쿄

호첼전체 와이파이도 되고 신주쿠역까지 걸어서 한 20분 정도 걸렸던거 같아요. 지하철은 도쿄청사역이 더 가깝고요ㅎ 아침과 저녘에 신주쿠역까지 운행하는 셔틀버스가 있어서 편리하게 이동도 가능합니다.

출장차 동경을 갔는데 신주쿠역에서 가까운 곳은 좀 더 비싸고, 좀 멀어서 그런지 가격이 조금 더 저렴해 선택하고 큰 기대는 안 했는데.. 내 예상은 완전히 빗나감.. 그렇게 멀지도 않을 뿐 더러 셔틀버스가 있어 신주쿠역까지 편하게 다녔다. 도쿄도청사 및 공원이 가까워서 좋았으며, 프런트 직원들도 매우 친절했다. 또한 객실도 크기는 좀 아쉬웠지만 지내기에는 전혀 불편함이 없었다. 물론 조식도 꽤 괜찮았다.(30% 쿠폰을 줬음) 암튼 다녀와서 지인들에게도 추천을 했으며, 다음에 동경에 간다면 꼭 다시 이용할 것 같다. (큰 호텔들보다 조용하기도 함)

처음에 도착해 호텔을 찾을때 역과 상당히 멀어 힘들었었는데, 차츰 길을 알고나니 괜찮았었고, 무료셔틀버스도 운행해서 편리했어요. 신주쿠 역과 조금 거리가 있는것만 빼면 괜찮은 호텔입니다!!!

신주쿠역과 가까운 비지니스 호텔을 알아보던중에 호텔평도 좋고 가격도 적당한 호텔이어서 이용하게 됬어요~ 로비에 한국어로 된 지도도 있고 해서 편하게 이용했습니다. 또 호텔버스가 있어서 그거 타고 신주쿠역에서 호텔까지 편히 움직일 수 있었네요. 한가지 좀 불편했던 점은 호텔버스 이용 시간이 좀 짧다는거? 그거빼고는 다 괜찮았던것 같아요.

가격이 저렴하고 후기도 그닥 좀 좋지 않아서 걱정을 했었는데요 생각보다 깔끔하고 시설도 좋고 청결하고 너무너무 좋았습니다. 가격대비 훌륭했습니다. 호텔 직원분들도 친절했구요 바로 앞이 도쿄도청이라 바깥 배경도 좋고 다만 역이랑 떨어져서 셔틀버스를 탄적도 있지만 시간대가 잘 맞지않아 걸어다녔거든요 그건 좀 불편하드라고요 하지만 걸어다니면서 호텔옆의 중앙공원에서 벼룩시장 열려서 구경도 할 수 있고 나름 좋았습니다. 다리가 좀 아프긴 하지만 그래도 가격대비 호텔도 편해서 걸어다니는 정도는 커버가 되드라고요.. 정말 좋았습니다.

신주쿠에 숙소를 정하고 가격을 알아보다 저렴하게 행사가로 이용할 수 있어서 이곳으로 정했습니다. 호텔에서 거리가 좀 있다보니 셔틀을 운행하는데요, 이 셔틀 운행 시간이 오전 11시~ 오후 4시 사이에는 없더라구요. 그래서 그 점이 약간 불편했습니다. 두번째, 다른 호텔도 그러할지는 모르겠지만, 이곳 이불의 위생이 좀..... 왜냐하면 따로 이불 커버가 없는것 같았어요.. 이불 커버가 있어야 시트를 교체가능할텐데 커버가 없으면 이불을 매일 빨지는 않을테고, 그럼 이불의 위생은??? 베개는 수건을 깔고서 사용하긴 했는데.. 이불은 솔직히 찝찝했습니다.. 세번째, 저희가 일명 돼지코라고 불리는 플러그(일본에서는 a형 플러그라고 […] 한다더군요)를 미처 챙겨오지 못해 호텔에 문의하니, 1000위엔에 판다고 하던데요, 너무 비싸 호텔밖에 나와서 구입을 했는데 190위엔 정도에 살 수 있었습니다. 다른 호텔에서는 무료로 대여도 해준다고 하던데..... 이 점이 넘 아쉬웠네요. 하지만 전반적으로 잘 지내다 왔습니다... 더 보기

new city hotel, i would say is a cheap hotel, but if you are looking for clean, daily necessity prepared this hotel is good enough! the only down side is this hotel is far from shopping areas and the subway/JR is about a 10 mins good walk, alternative they provide free shuttle service. My husband and I stayed in January 2013 for 9 nights and paid just under £550 for a Semi-Double. The Shinjuku New City Hotel was excellently positioned and exactly what we wanted. The lobby had a well staffed reception desk and a free luggage scale. The room was large enough for us to open a very large suitcase and keep both it and our smaller suitcase […] stored out of the way. It was very quiet with the window closed, not too noisy with it open, and the drapes effectively blocked the light. A hair dryer, fridge, kettle and hotplate were provided. The bed was comfortable and just wide enough to not feel cramped. The bathroom was small and compact, with the usual amenities provided. The bath was not very long, but the depth allowed a comfortable soak, and the shower had reasonable water pressure. There is a mediocre Chinese restaurant next door, Dominos delivers to the room and a Convenience store a few doors down. Shinjuku Station is a leisurely 20 minute walk away, or 5 minutes by the free shuttle bus. The Station is surrounded by a many shops and restaurants. The Narita Express and several metro and train lines allow access to most of the city. Shinjuku Central Park and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Offices (with a wonderful free 45th floor view) are very close. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is not too far, and was well worth the 200 yen entrance fee to wander in. I suspect our Winter visit showed the Garden at its dullest, but it was still very peaceful and beautiful. 더 보기

Great location, 10 min walk from Shinjuku station. Spacious room by Tokyo Shinjuku standards. A bit old, but functional and definitely good value. Friendly and helpful staff. If all you need is a clean and quiet place to sleep within close proximity of Shinjuku, this is definitely a great deal.

Spent a week in this hotel. Location is well within walking distance from the JR station, and the shuttle that runs from the hotel to station is a nice, but welcome touch after a long day of shopping. Lots of great ramen/noodle bars, and a few good coffee shops close by. The park is amazing.

Kudos to the reception, they gave us a non-smoking room on a high floor as requested, and gave us a corner room that was located in a quiet corner - which was much appreciated. The other positive was they had a shuttle bus to-and-fro Shinjuku stat., but limited op. frequency, i.e. no service between approx. 10am to 4.30pm, and after 9.30pm I think. […] On the disappointing side, while the room window could be opened (for ventilation and as a/c was not effective), there were no security grill or measures in place to prevent accidental fall-over. The window is located at approx. 90 cm above the room floor and so parents must watch their children very closely if the window is open. A/C is central and there is no thermostat for room temp adjustment. A/C was not effective as room is not comfortably cool. When mentioned, hotel staff could not do anything about the a/c but recommended opening window. Residual smoke could be smelt in the non-smoking room perhaps due to the central a/c system, or upwards travel of smoke from smoking rooms' open windows. Floor carpet was stained throughout indicating high turn-over occupancy of room, with minimal carpet cleaning, if any was done. Beds were sufficiently comfortable if one was tired but definitely not meant for an extended sleep-in. Overall my rating would be 2.5 out of 5 instead of 2 as the bar indicates above. Definitely not recommended for business travellers or families, however may be cost-effective accom for singles or gp of friends. 더 보기

In summary: If you plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel room, this may not be the place for you as it may be too confining, does not have much of a view unless you are facing Chuo Park, and lacks amenities such as a pool, game room, and gym. We are talking about a hotel in Japan, so you can be 100% sure of the personnel's kindness and commitment. They were careful and attentive in every which way. As usual, space is an issue in Japan, and this reflected on the room, which lacked a wardrobe - the only real big drawback of the experience. Hotel is great value, 15 minutes walk from Shinjuku staiion. The shuttle bus( when it runs) is invaluable and the driver is punctual to the seconds and he is very courteous. Arigatou. We booked a non-smoking room and when we checked in, all they had was a smoking room. We were v disappointed, but I must say, the staff tried v hard to accommodate us. […] They deodorise the room, sent someone to the room to check if its acceptable to us. I think the hotel should ENSURE a non-smoking room is RESERVED, when someone booked 2 months in advance. Secondly, there is no individual control of room temperature. In our case, it was boiling hot. Luckily we can leave our window open but then we can hear the traffic noise. All that aside, room size is large for Japanese hotel and it is good value. Shinjuku station & Shinjuku itself is a destination. One can shop, eat & explore for days without going anywhere. My favourite place is Golden Gate Shinjuku where the local goes. There were 9 of us (3Ad 6Chn) and we stayed here for 3 nights and found it very handy with their free shuttle bus service too and from Shinjuku Station. There is a great children's playground in the park to the right across the road - handy to reward them after travelling around. A rare mid-rise bargain in Tokyo, with views of both the park and Tokyo's skyscrapers. Two of us stayed 3 nights in a semi double room (16sqm 121cm bed width). The room and bathroom were smaller than the pictures suggest, but it was clean and functional. The windows opened, the toilet had special attributes, and the tub was deeper than a standard Western […] tub (but not as deep as others we've used). The Tochomae subway station is about 5 minutes' walk; Shinjuku is a bit farther away. The shuttle is pretty convenient; just keep the schedule on hand. There's very little here in terms of late-night eats, but the Family Mart/7-11 just up the street should take care of hunger/thirst not slaked by the myriad hotel vending machines. Staff was extremely helpful and polite, fairly close to subway stations but not really close to an abundance of resturants and nightlife, although one nice continental resturant very close buy. Biggest complaint is the hotel is old and needs a renovation.
