"그럭저럭 만족"
지하철 역에서 걸어서 20~30분 정도 걸리는 조금 먼 거리였음. 방이 조금 추웠음. 새벽 시간에 조금 시끄러웠음.
"Close to Chinatown"
The shower head needs to be replaced urgently. The water flow is really bad. Otherwise room is ok albeit hotel condition is old.

not a luxury place, but great location, clean..
"cheap, clean and close"
this is an old dormitory and feels like one. the location is excellent for UT, AGO, kensington market, chinatown, little italy, downtown and not too far from yorkville and annex. nothing fancy...but who needs fancy when you have this great city to explore??

"Alexandra Hotel - downtown Toronto"
Basic hotel with affordable rates in downtown Toronto. Nothing fancy and great if you're looking for a place to sleep and shower. Little kitchenette helps if you're on a tight budget. Inexpensive, on-site parking available. Stayed in their sister hotel The Drake two years ago and was glad to be back. Close to China Town and the gallery district. Walkable […] to just about anywhere in downtown Toronto. Quiet. Would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Toronto. 더 보기
"Not a bad hotel for the price"
This hotel is in a pretty convenient spot. Rates are almost hostel prices but you get a kitchenette with two burners (only one burner worked) and microwave, limited cooking equipment, private bathroom and free internet. The bed was a bit uneven so it was a little uncomfortable. The place was quiet. Check in and check out was good. Nice staff. The hallway […] smelled like Vietnamese food and the room a bit like a dental surgery. For the price it's not bad. I would recommend it for a couple of nights but it feels more like a hostel than a hotel. 더 보기
"Alexandra Hotel, nice one!"
The Alexandra hotel locates near to the Chinatown, so it was very convinent for me to get great food. The best part of this hotel is that it provides you with full cooking tool( pan, bowls, plates, spoons, etc. for three people!!! just for a family!) It's totally like you are in your own apartment, this warmed my heart. With a small park next to it,where […] many squirrels, lovely~ it is also not very far from the downtown center. The staffs were very frendily and helpful, the room was farely clean. I will definitely recommand this hotel, and will choose it for the next trip to Toronto! 더 보기
"Alexandra"
really good for one or 2 nights stay. Came down to see toronto and the nightlife so we were only in the room at night so it was perfect. We got exactly what we paid for and will definitely go back again. Room was clean, perfect size for 2-3 people. Front desk staff were friendly and willing to help with directions and such. Awesome stay!

"Toronto Hotel"
Not the worst hotel I ever stayed at but but the best either. Was very convenient to downtown.. Reasonable price. Entrance way could have been cleaned up from dropping from tree located near by. Would probably not choose this hotel if visiting Toronto in the future.
"Unique and a bit hostel like."
We loved the convenience and locale of the property. It feels like an apartment building or hostel much more than a hotel. It is on a dead end which makes it pretty quiet (on one side of the hotel there is a school and park so there can be noise from that). I was stuck in a smoking room the first night which I really didn't like. The room was also very […] 'tired' and reeked like the inside of an ashtray. I was moved the next day to a much nicer room (sunnier and in better shape, and no stale cig smell). For the price it was nice. I only wished I'd packed a fan for white noise as the hall doors are very thin. Nice staff. Would I stay here again? Depends on my budget. 더 보기
"it did the purpose"
The room was very clean, personel (lady at the desk) was very nice, very quiet. Very outdated room, needs major reno, air conditioning made noise, room not appealing at all. A bit far to walk for my hospital apoitments but not too bad.
"Cold Shower"
Hotel is good for the price, about a 20 min walk to the centre of Toronto, has a small kitchenette and fridge in room so ideal if your on a budget. The bathroom was clean although carpet in the room was a bit dirty....this isn't the Hilton though so we were more than happy with our room. Only negative was the boiler broke the morning we were leaving […] as a result there was nothot water in the whole hotel, one off i'm sure but a cold shower to start you day off when your heading to the airport was not the best start to the day! 더 보기
"You Get What You Pay For..."
...and that's not a bad thing! I feel that my stay at the Alexandra was exactly what I paid for and expected. The room was clean and neat and included a kitchenette, which helped me save money on food. I recommend this hotel if you are on a budget but want to be close to downtown Toronto. I was no more than a few blocks walk from the streetcars and […] the Kensington Market. 더 보기
"good place to stay"
cheap, quiet, central. would stay there again!
"Nice budget concious hotel in a growing area..."
I have come to Toronto for the last 6 years for TIFF and have always stayed at the Alexandra hotel; however I have noticed the change in the transportation in the evenings... with a short walk through a park with the same name the visitor can catch a street car to anywhere in the city. However, if you are out late at night the transportation schedule […] changes and is less available. Timing your return to the hotel is a must because of the walk involved. The park at night is a bit dark and sometimes occupied by the homeless. The nice option of taxis can remove this concern. Parking in the city is very expense and taking mass transit is always an expense to factor in when visiting Toronto and the Alexandra hotel does have a parking fee that is far less than most hotels in the area. Another added feature of this hotel is its apartment style. All rooms come with a small kitchette (microwave, mini refrigerator, electric burners, sink, cabinets with a small supply of plates, cups and utensils) I always bring a supply of instant oatmeal and tea and my breakfast is taken off the expense. Also for a refundable deposit a coffee maker, alarm clock OR iron can be supplied. I have always felt like the rooms have been maintained with routine cleaning. The staff is very friendly and eager to help with all inquires. One slightly negative feature is the plum tree mess at the entrance. Though the fragrance is amazing, the plums on the sidewalk creates an obstacle course to get around for those with pricy heels. I have never personally found it to be an issue but I would imagine some might be wary with first impressions. Don't let this stop you from checking out it's many features. One newer update to this hotel is the wireless internet option. This is new to the hotel and made access to work through the internet possible without a cable (past years). This makes all of the newer readers and smart phones technology just that much easier. If you are a budget conscious consumer and are 더 보기
"excellent location & room cleanliness"
hotel staff are bored senseless and very unfriendly. curt and rude would be the best way to describe them. thankfully i didn't go there to spend my time with them, but visit the area. check-in at 3, check-out at 11 is rather inconvenient if you're staying only a day like we did. lobby toilets are repulsive - which unfortunately was the first thing […] we saw. we were on floor 20 of 21 in a queen premier room. not much extra compared to other rooms, but view was amazing & room was very nice & clean - 2 double beds, separate 'living room' area. 2 tvs (for some reason!). Location was excellent - great view of Canadian & American falls. Highly recommended for room, price. not recommended for lobby toilets or staff attitude. 더 보기
"Alexandra Hotel, not in the centre of Toronto"
This hotel is basic - although it was a studio room so you could be self sufficient, it was a bit like student accommodation. If you are on a budget, it might be for you but beware, it is a walk to down town and the street car isn't direct altho' you only have to pay once - 511 then the 509 to the CN tower area. It is very close to Queen Street though. I […] was kept awake by noise outside on Saturday - no double glazing, and an air-conditioning unit nearby dripped incessantly. The fridge in the room was functional but made an almighty thumping noise as it turned off at the thermostat and that woke me a few times in the night. Wireless internet didn't work but the cabled LAN was OK. I wasn't happy when they wanted a blank swipe of my cc, signed. I refused so I entered $100 and I got it back at the end but that is rather antiquated these days and it is definitely a negative point. The hotel is near a nice park with black squirrels but there was someone asleep on a bench as I went for the tram on Saturday morning and I had got a taxi back on Friday night as the area was a little off the beaten track; I was back earlier on Saturday so used the street car and that was fine. Overall, not a bad low budget hotel but I don't think I will be going back there again; as I get older, I am less willing to go without a bit of luxury!! 더 보기
"Bad hotel is a bad neighbourhood"
Not impressed at all. Worst stay of my life.
While we appreciate the review, it would be helpful to us if you could elaborate. Our hotel is in safe but older downtown neighbourhood. We're between Kensington Market and the Entertainment District; and near Chinatown, Koreatown, Little Italy, Little Portugal, etc; it's really a hotspot for restaurants, shopping, art and nightlife.

Functional, clean and affordable. The front desk staff were friendly and very knowledgable about the area and were quick to recommend nice spots to visit.
Thanks for the review! Our staff always takes pride in being able to help our guests find interesting attractions, good restaurants and shopping. There's always lots to see and do in downtown Toronto.

The office staff were great although its not the most classiest hotel i will say it was clean . I was quite impressed when i found my toilet had a sanitized label wrapped around it. The only problem i couldn't figure out how 2 get the air conditioning on.
Thanks for your review. If you stay with us again, don't hesitate to call our staff if you have any questions. We're always willing to help out
알렉산드라 호텔 (Alexandra Hotel)의 답변 1개"Alexandra Hotel, Toronto"
A very comfortable room with a great view of the CN Tower. The double bed was a little small, but very comfortable, and the kitchenette area had everything you needed. Room was also clean, though a bit sparse (but perfect just for spending the night). No breakfast was offered, but it was very close to downtown, so we caught the bus and were there in […] ten minutes. We did avoid the nearby park after dark, though--better to go up the nearby street to get to the main drag where the bus stops. 더 보기
Thanks for your review! The Alexandra isn't far from most downtown attractions, including the CN Tower. We don't have a restaurant on site, but as you point out, there are plenty of places to eat around here! Hope you stay with us again!

"Toronto"
Very helpful at the front desk. Nicely located. Thanx a bunch.
I'm not sure why anyone would get the impression of a bad neighborhood, I was out around 11 PM and the immediately surrounding area was still pretty busy with families and other people walking around. It's right downtown, and adjacent to a park and pool. Couldn't have asked for a better location. As for the rest, the room was very clean and staff was […] friendly. The temperatures outside were pretty high, thankfully the AC worked like a charm. The kitchenette came in handy too. All in all, it was a very good experience. 더 보기
I think some travellers get concerned about this neighbourhood because it's mostly older homes, apartment buildings, and independent shops - not condominiums and malls, or high rise buildings. It may not look as modern as other parts of downtown, but the people here are friendly and it's a safe place to live and visit, and there's a lot of history in the area. We hope you stay with us again, thanks for your review!

This hotel works because of its location to transpotation and that it is close to many venues. It works because you can bring food with you and this saves money. I would stay there again.

Thank you for your review of the Alexandra Hotel. The outdoor pool at Alexandra Park is open during the summer months and is a great relief from the heat!

Was not sure what to expect and was very pleased with our stay-*hotel hallway was lit at night for safety*no loud noises from other guests during our stay-we couldn't hear other guests at all*the park next door was fine to walk thru(another relief for us re safety) * the A/c and stove/mini fridge all worked and the bathroom pressure was fine .* Previous […] review did mention funny smell in room and long hairs in bathroom but that could be resolved by vacumning bathroom after wiping down and possibly washing ceiling( I figured someone cooked an ethnic meal/it was not too bad and we used the A/c during the night as Toronto was humid during our stay.) Really want to say thanks-we are glad we had a restful stay there. Our needs were met as we were sightseeing all day and needed a clean place to sleep. 더 보기

Located in a bit of a run down area, although I never felt unsafe. Very clean rooms, decent internet and a good price. Wouldn't choose to holiday here but for staying during business meetings etc without breaking the bank would definitely recommend.
Thanks for the review. We're happy to cater to travellers on a budget and appreciate the recommendation.
알렉산드라 호텔 (Alexandra Hotel)의 답변 1개"downtown hotel - a little ghetto"
I wanted the cheapest hotel I could find for my friends and I while we went to a concert downtown. All we wanted the hotel for was to drink in before the show and to crash at later on. The Alexandra was in the perfect location and had the best possible price. I would definitely stay there again. The downside: the office employees (at the front desk) […] are absolutely miserable. Both men I encountered there had horrific customer service skills and gave us a hard time when we asked for a carbon copy of our credit card print out! Also, although the rooms were "clean" it smelled really musty in our room, the carpet was REALLY dirty, and almost all of the towels in the bathroom had long, black hair stuck to them (although, they did smell clean....) I would stay there again because Im super budget, but bring fabreeze, flip-flops and your own towels!!! 더 보기

And shockingly good value. It was about a 15 minute walk to the convention center; but at 1/3 the price and with a far more fun neighborhood it was great!

"Less than 1/2 star"
This hotel rated at 1 1/2 stars. Really less than a 1/2. Poor amenities. Things didn't work.
"When you know what you're getting into..."
It's quite ok. I am fortunate to travel across the country for work and enjoy the 4 star hotels. I was stuck with no available rooms in the usual spots and the only one available was the Alexandra. I knew it was a 2 star hotel - hadn't seen one before. Of course, the furniture is dated and the plumming pipes are uncovered in the closet and the windows […] don't lock and the AC makes so much noise; but the room itself was very clean. The linens, the towels, etc. I was surprised, actually. It's also quite convenient to have a kitchenette with a mini fridge, a sink, hot plate and a microwave. In the room I had, there was a dining table with two chairs, a desk with one chair, one single and one double bed. For the price per night? Yes, I'd recommend. 더 보기

"Alexandria in Toronto - will not stay again"
Not very clean, there was hair on the bed, towels etc. I felt very uncomfortable sleeping in the bed. AC is too noisy, does not have temperature control or remote. It was high up on one corner of the wall, had to get up on a table to change the cooling to high. I was there for a night's sleep, but was not happy with the experience.
"Hitting Queen Street West?"
We stayed here as it was right up the street from a club we were going to for the night. If you're hitting the clubs on Queen Street West, or you're just looking for an inexpensive room, this is it. Nothing fancy here, but they do have kitchenettes and utensils. Chinatown is within walking distance, as well. Melissa and I found a really nice French […] cafe to grab brunch at the following day, The Boulevard Cafe. Overall, it was exactly what we needed, a room close to where we were going to. We would definitely stay there again. 더 보기

"central location- university dorm quality room"
Was wondering what to expect based on the other reviews. Have to say I was pretty satisfied. It is not quite the vacation resort to take the wife and little kids who need space ...but when travelling alone and just looking for a place to sleep a couple of hours it did the job for the price. Room was smaller than the typical brand name hotel I normally […] travel to and when I arrived late at night I was a little weary on the neiborhood but really there was nothing wrong with it. Mostly my paranoia because of reading previous reviews of this and other hotels. I walked to the subway in the morning and there is a school not too far and a park right next to it. The location is fantastic because it it pretty much smack central downtown walking distance to the public subway ( no need to rent a car if just staying downtown) and walking distance (10$ cab ride) to the railway if going to Toronto by VIA rail train. If you are just looking for a very basic room to sleep a couple of hours with a small kitchenet this place should do the job. I did not interact much with the staff but the people working the front desk were pretty nice. I stayed in room 615 (top floor). 더 보기
