The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with the cleanliness of our room. Great location !

We stayed in the Junior Suite, complete with a couch and chair, flat screen TV and desk (in the closet). Bed was a double but extremely comfortable. The room was very quiet and the staff very friendly. My only less than favorable comments are that the bathroom was very small and located right by the door to the hallway and that there is not elevator. […] The stairs to the room from the street are very steep and only for people in good shape. The hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly. The location was great. My only complaint about the room is that it was a bit dim and the bathroom needs a heater. Other than that, the bed is comfy. I liked having the separate seating area. It was a good experience.

Its so comfortable yet really nice. It's like my house but nicer and cleaner! Would stay here again if we are in Seattle next time!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was close to everything I went to see. Many attractions were within walking distance. The bed was really comfortable. The shower head was really nice. I really liked the separate seating area by the TV. I stayed for 6 nights and all the front desk employees said hello and good-bye to me as I came and went and […] were very friendly. Only a couple negatives. The first night I was there I couldn't figure out how to work the heater. It was January so I froze. There were instructions in the guest services binder about how to work the TV (duh) and the music player but not the heater. The room was a comfortable temp when I went to sleep so when I woke up in the middle of the night freezing cold I didn't want to call the front desk at 2:30am. I figured it out the next day but it would have been nice to have brief instructions on how to adjust the temp. Another negative thing was the weekend housekeeping. They did not take out the trash either day. I even put my empty pizza box on top of the trash can and still it wasn't thrown away. By Monday morning the tiny trash can was extremely full and I had to smash stuff into it. I don't understand how hard it is to take out a tiny trash can. But this only happened with the weekend staff. The weekday housekeeper was excellent. She would leave the sound system playing and one lamp on so that when you returned it wasn't dark. I gave it a nice welcoming feel. The only other negative I have is lack of inexpensive places to eat in the surrounding area. There are tons of pubs around but for an extended stay I don't want pub food all the time. I think I ate at subway repeatedly. I highly recommend CJ's Eatery a block away. I ate there for breakfast and lunch and the food was excellent and affordable. The service was pretty good too. I would recommend this hotel to my friends but I would probably try someplace else if I ever go to Seattle again. 더 보기

We live in the greater Seattle area and wanted to plan a nice evening for our anniversary. Ultimately, we decided to stay here because we didn't want to drive or walk all over town and decided to go to dinner at El Gaucho (the restaurant downstairs). They have absolutely wonderful food (Try the tableside prepared Caesar, any kind of steak, and a dessert […] en flambe!) Then we adjourned upstairs for the night. There was a TV and a Bose system so we could listen to music. Done again, I probably wouldn't book the Sound-view suite. We had a partial view through construction of the waterfront. It wasn't terrible or something I would ever complain about, but I recommend paying extra for the view. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated having the sitting area to relax. The bathroom was also very nice, with a waterfall showerhead and luxury bath products/robes. There were some nice touches, like a personalized note from the staff when we arrived. There was also fruit out in the lobby when we arrived and tea/coffee in the morning. I would definitely come here again for a special night. Downstairs, there's also a wonderful movie theater called The Big Picture, which I strongly recommend. 더 보기

Seattle is my home town, when I visit - I usally stay with family, but this time decided to stay a few days in the Downtown area. After Web Shopping for several days, I selected the Inn at El Gaucho for its location and the quality of the reivews. I was not disappointed - I will go back and stay longer. I had room 12 - an inside room - it was very quiet. […] The bathroom is on the small side, but the bed and rest of the room more than compensated for that. This is my second time staying at this fab hotel. Love the bed and leather couch. It's like a home away from home feel. Have I mentioned that there are chocolate chip cookies being greeted in your room and nice note to welcome you.

We were in town for a 40th bday party. The El Goucho was a block away! Easy check in & vallet plus awesome location made for a relaxing, stress free stay. The room was plush with down mattress top, pillows, and comforter. They even had a Bose stereo & HD flat screen with cable tv. We will definitely stay again! Dave & Kristen, Tri Cities, WA.

If you're looking for a no frills, no thrills stay that's conveniently located in Belltown, then this place fits the bill. El Gaucho is more akin to a motel rather than a hotel. Looks like it was converted for accomodations, unsure what the building was prior. No elevators as others have stated, but not a big deal since they only have one floor of "hotel" […] space. The leather couches they provide in the room are a nice touch. Bathroom was quite small, hardly enough table/shelf space to hold your toiletries. They seem to try to go for that old hollywood look (50's) which they mildly pull off. Not much a lobby space to relax in but then again, most are probably staying here for the convenience of exploring the surrounding area (about a 10 min walk to Pike's Market and the Space Needle). The restaurant on the 1st floor is a great convenience. If you love live Jazz, then it's definitely a must see. The food was very good, although I can't imagine who came up with the pricing model, definitely too expensive, bordering ridiculous. But the happy hour is fabulous so should be taken advantage of. 더 보기

I was pleasantly surprised by both the size and the decor of the room at the Inn at El Gaucho. This low rise, wonderfully located inn is located on 1st and Wall in Seattle. It is close to everything and located where u can get to all parts of Seattle easily. The bed was so comfortable and the room warm and freindly with a sitting area and nice tile bathroom w/ good quality soap dispensers in shower and nice, big fluffy white towel. The front counter staff was great and for a reasonable fee, they parked our car and brought it to the front door for us. I was impressed by the high ratings and low prices of the Inn at El Gaucho on hotels.com, so I decided to forgo the Marriott on the Waterfront for a more unique experience. My wife and I were very happy with El Gaucho. Some of the pluses mentioned in other posts were the comfortable beds, the great water pressure of the shower, the great shampoos/soaps. […] The Inn is 17 rooms directly above the expensive Argentine grill, El Gaucho. Plates at the restaurant were about $80. We didn't eat there, but there are several great/affordable places to eat nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. Most of all, we loved the location (for the price we paid), we could walk to Pikes Places, Shopping Mall, the Space Needle and museums, and the waterfront. I would recommend the Inn to anyone! 더 보기

Wow I guess people get really excited for mediocre hotels. Located in a trendy part of town, the building is run down and visually unappealing. Staff was accommodating enough, nothing spectacular. Though the furniture in the rooms was newer, the overall decor was less than impressive. The bathroom was old with dingy floors. No fridge, no microwave. […] Nothing to be even moderately excited about. The worst part would have to be the incessant vibrating of the room throughout the entire night, which the staff later informed us, is a result of an exhaust fan from the floor below. That made for a spectacular nights sleep. I don't generally prefer chain hotel over a boutique styled one such as this, but honestly, you might as well stay at a holiday inn.. at least you'll be getting what you paid for. 더 보기

This place was amazing!!! This is the only place in Seattle that I ever want to stay. You will not be disappointed staying here.

Convenient stay! I can walk to all the tourist spots in Seattle and also make a quick trip back to shower after all my activities and then walk back out and explore the night time downtown life. Excellent location - if you like the East Village (NY) you will love Belltown. Great boutique hotel! Definitely a great hotel with a great price. There is no elevator, but the valet people are happy to help you carry your bags up the one flight of stairs. Front desk was extremely friendly. There were even fresh baked cookies waiting in our room for us. Great experience, highly reccomend!

The Inn embodies hip. The rooms look like loft apartments - minus a kitchen.

Starbucks coffee every morning, right on 1st Avenue, great restaurants, so close to the river and markets and center of the city, water and apples at night, cute and friendly staff, cable, great bathroom products, wood blinds...I was very happy...There for a national conference, was the envy of colleagues.

One of the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced at a hotel. The bedding was light and fluffy like a cloud!

I loved this hotel. Good service. Feels very homie. Only thing I didn't like was lack of parking. Either street where you have to move by 8 am or $22 valet I would stay again for sure

Great lobby, very comfortable beds, nice comfortable quiet lobby with a great fireplace and very comfortable clean rooms. I was surprised with the high quality of this hotel because it was very reasonably priced. We will definitely stay there again.

morning front desk guy RUDE

I was greeted by a very nice person and shown to my room - she explained all the in's and out's of how everything in the room worked. Very comfortable and a great location and very quiet. Cute boutique type hotel - I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

This was an excellent hotel that was clean, stylishm and comfortable. Only downside was having to carry my luggage up two flights of stairs to the reception desk. There is a doorman though, but I chose to do it myself. The hotel is within walking distance of the cruise ship terminals and pier 69 which is the departure/arrival place for the Victoria […] Clipper. 더 보기

Interior looks a little older when you walk upstairs to the main lobby. There was only one person working at the desk. We had to wait for her to take care of the people in front of us and walk them to their room. The room was great. Very cozy. We are used to a King size bed so the Queen was a little uncomfortable. But the bed had great sheets and a […] big fluffy comforter. You'll sink right in. We went to the Big Picture downstairs and then across the street to Belltown Pizza. Was so great to do everything right there. We used to live a block away in Belltown so we were staying for our anniversary. 더 보기

Nice hotel. Would have liked to have had a view of something besides an inclosed courtyard of about 5' x 10'. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Staff nice and friendly, parking a little high in price. A short walk to pier and Pike Place Market. Need to be able to walk up inclines.

My husband and I recently stayed 4 nights at thhis hotel. It was perfect. Great location, staff very friendly, within walking distance to Pike's Market and numb erous local restaurants. The only caution is no elevator, its only 1 short flight of stairs, but just a reminder. Would stay here again.

El Gaucho is a great value. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great boutique place.

The hotel was great! Friendly, helpful staff. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, which was surprising for how nice of a hotel it is. That said, I would still recommend this hotel to others and will stay there again.

The room was clean and a nice size, the bed comfortable. Although the location was on one of the main drags of Seattle, the area itself was somewhat run down. Although our stay was fine, I don't think I would go back there to stay again.
