페어몬트 피스 호텔 (Fairmont Peace Hotel) - 상하이

2005년 숙박했을때, 페어몬트 피스호텔의 분위기를 잊을 수가 없었다. 1900년대 초 조계지 호텔의 클래식한 분위기가 너무 멋졌다. 삐그덕 거리지만 분위기 있는 객실, 마치 영화 상해탄의 주인공을 볼 수 있을 듯 했던 로비 그리고 포동지구를 바라보면서 아침식사를 할 수 있었던, 동, 서양의 조화가 잘된 볼룸홀, 실제로 영국/프랑스/독일 등의 외교관, 장교들이 와서 파티를 하던 곳이 너무 멋져서 직원서비스가 별로라도 좋았는데... 다시 그 느낌을 느껴보고자 왔는데... 2010년 리모델링 후, 예전의 호텔 분위기는 다 사라지고 그냥 외관만 그 느낌이고 내부인테리어는 모던으로 다 바뀌고 조식을 할 수 있었던 볼룸홀은 다 […] 뜯어내고 별로 먹을것은 없지만 비싸기만 한 식당으로 바뀌었다. 돈이 아깝다는 생각만 들었다. 하지만, 호텔 로케이션은 환상적었다. 다시가라고 하면??? ㅋㅋ 안가지.. 더 보기

I was very happy with the location and the amvience of the hotel. Not crowded during the week, quiet, spacious room and bathroom, very helpful staff, nice swimming pool and sauna. 모든 것의 중심에 있는 오아시스다. 수영장, 스파, 마사지 받는 것을 강추합니다. 어디든지 서비스가 훌륭했음. 다시 올 것임.

This was my second stay at the Peace Hotel. The rooms are gorgeous--with an expresso machine, a huge beautiful bathroom with a tv, the most comfortable bed ever. The lobby and the public spaces are lovely. The breakfast is tops and the 9th floor, where it is served, is very comfortable, tasteful and elegant. I LOVED it! The Bund is a half block away. […] The concierge was very helpful. The staff takes great pride in their work--I recognized several people from my stay there a year ago. This hotel is pretty expensive, but it is worth it. I tried saving money by staying instead at the Radisson Blu New World and I left one night early to change to the Peace Hotel. While the Radisson was a dump, I have also been spoiled by the Peace Hotel. It will always be my place in Shanghai. 더 보기

I had hoped to use the pool but on arrival learned it was down for 8-10 days maintenance. If this is known in advance it should be posted ahead of time. They did make the Westin Hotel available and would even reimburse taxi fair. I tried that once and they did have a pretty good pool too. Hotel has many ++++'s. Worth a stay.

Beautiful, spacious rooms. Giant bathroom with all the amenities (including TV above tub). Espresso machine with free coffee. Always very courteous service. Internet access seemed expensive, especially considering that other hotels of this class provide it for free. But overall great place and the location right on the Bund is difficult to beat.

Price is reasonable, given its great location and historic status. Very tasteful deco. We were given a free tour by a very knowledgable guide. The room is big. Very impressive bathroom! Best hotel bed I've slept on so far. The jazz bar is a must visit. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

Charges for additional services such as internet and laundry are way over the top. Many other guests complained to us about same issues. Also needs separate tour desk rather that concierge

What an experience! Well worth the money.

What a treat to return to the ambience of the hotel each day!

We had a great stay at this hotel. Room was the about the nicest I have ever stayed at - we usually go four seasons. Location is also the best. If you can afford it don't stay anywhere else. Spa and pool are also really special. Sometimes China 5 star doesn't measure up but in this case it sure did!

We were very impressed with the Fairmont Peace Hotel. Everything was first class, from the service to the room.

Fantasic Hotel! Rooms were the biggest one we have had anywhere. Two queen beds, huge room with closets, bath was very large. It was like having an apartment. Staff was very attentive. I'd been to Shanghai before and LOVE this art deco building. Tourists go into the lobby just to take photographs. And they have a jazz band every evening. This is a perfect place to see some of Shanghai's past splendour. We got to the hotel and they gave us an upgrade - and the room, well - more of a flat, was great. We had an amazing stay in the hotel. Location perfect for business and/or leisure holiday in Shanghai. Having Jazz club in the hotel is such an unusual bonus i think it is what sets the Fairmont Peace apart from all other 5 star hotels. Staying at this beautifully renovated art deco hotel was a real treat for my daughter and I. This hotel has been restored to its former glory but classic 5 star luxury bathrooms have been added. The Fairmont Peace Hotel is, with the Penninsula next door, a marquee hotel in Shanghai. It is like staying at the Waldorf in NY or the Dorchester in London. Very Crowded and loud and a grimey, especially at night, with all the lady bar offers. This hotel is awesome, but if I had to do it again, I would stay at the Langham Xiantandi and be closer to the French Concession - great bars and restaurants, and wonderful Fuxing Park, rather than the grimey Nanjing Rd. We have stayed in a few Fairmont hotels and this one just is as good if not better than the other Fairmont hotels we had stayed. The bathroom is one of the nicest we have seen. It is so spacious that it's normally only seem in bathrooms that come with Suite. The hotel was refurbished in 2010 and was managed to kept the original art deco features. The Fairmont Peace Hotel had been recommended by a friend who had stayed there in 2006 and was completely in love with the art deco style. We were unaware that a complete building refurbishment had taken place and had only been completed one month prior to our visit, we were among the first to stay. Our room was luxurious and extravagant with generous […] proportions, the fixtures and fittings were of the best quality and the bathroom was also impressive. Our check-in was very smooth and efficient and the foyer was breathtaking with masses of flowers, a very welcoming sight after travelling for some time. Over the course of our stay we used most of the facilities that were on offer at the hotel. Room service, restaurants, concierge - I must say Steven Zhang, Assistant Chief Concierge was most informative and charming, he pointed us in the right direction on many occasions. We also found the Dragon Phoenix restaurant had a very comprehensive menu and was very entertaining at our window table with fabulous views of the Bund and the Huangpu River with constant ferry activity. The only downside to our stay was the spa and swimming pool were still being renovated plus the rooftop outdoor dining area had yet to be completed, these facilities would have been very appreciated after many hours spent walking the streets of Shanghai sightseeing. We certainly will return to this hotel in the future as another benefit of staying there was the windows could be opened manually and air conditioning could be turned off! 더 보기

Simply the best hotel i have stayed in China so far. They have a steep pricing curve versus booking time, so make sure you book well in advance.

以前ジャズバンドを聴きに行った時から、一度は泊ってみたいと思っていたホテルでした。すっかりリノベーションされてきれいになっていましたが、クラシック建築の良さは残しつつ、とても上品で雰囲気のあるホテルになっていました。お部屋にはエスプレッソマシンが備え付けてあって、ボトルのお水もふんだんに用意されており、大変助かりました。バスタブは深めの猫足で、雰囲気もばっちり、一流ホテルでもお風呂の水が臭うことの多い上海において、水の臭いも感じられず、とても快適でした。残念だったのは、なぜかお湯がシャワーブースからしか出ず、バスタブと洗面台は水（ぬるま湯）しか使えなかったこと。これは、たぶん言えば直してくれたんだと思いますが、私は煩わしかったので、シャワーブースからホースを引っ張ってきてバスタブにお湯を張っ […] てしまいました。レストランやスパなどは利用しませんでしたが、とにかくオールド上海の雰囲気に浸りたい方にはぴったりのホテルだと思います。個人的には大満足でした。今度上海に行くことがあったら、またぜひ利用したいと思います。 더 보기
