Although the entrance to the hotel was not the easiest to find, the stay there was fine. With a large dog, there are no other hotels allowing pets to stay. This was a great convenience.

We liked our stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We do have a couple suggestions. it would be move convenient if the pet room was on the first floor to make walking them easier. We do appreciate that they do accept pets. it would have been nice to have had a writing tablet and pen in the room to take telephone messages. We did regret there […] was no breakfast available. I have worked in hotels and i have never had service, the front desk women had no idea what they were doing and to be honest a bit rude, the hotel was under construction the whole time, i wasnt informed the pool wasnt available and that was the main reason i pick that hotel, and the walls of the rooms were scuffed and dirty, the parking lot was in a […] very inaccessible location as well as poorly plowed, and having to drive threw a restaurant parking lot in the evening is horrible! 더 보기

The GrandView does have a grand view -- on the south side of the building. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

Signage is needed up along the Parks Hwy to indicate you must turn into the Chili's Restaurant to access the hotel. Carpet could use a thorough cleaning, like behind the door and under the bed stand. Overall was acceptable room but certainly not worth the room rate they ask for. The pool has been closed for 3 months.

We went to Wasilla, AK for my son's basketball tournament. After reading some of the reviews, we were prepared for the worst. To our surprise, the room was clean and everything in it seemed to work except for the free high speed wireless internet. We could not log on at all. The on line reviews were accurate in many aspects. The pillows were tiny and […] gave little support. The pool was closed, which on line reviewers say happens a lot. Our room was by the stairs, so we did hear some doors slamming throughout the night. We checked in at 5:30 pm and went out to dinner and then came back in to watch the HBO movie. We checked out by 9:30 am the following day. It was a decent place to stay for one night. It was nothing special but it was a clean room at a reasonable price for one night. The Grand View is a little odd in it's approach to extended stay. I've never had an extended stay hotel make your bed daily, or change your towels daily... but the Grand View apparently goes above and beyond. Their customer service is fantastic. However, an extended stay hotel with no hangers in the closet? A bit odd to say the least. Pots, pans, dishes […] at the handy... but no spatula or measuring cups? Never seen it before. All in all, the Grand View seems to really handle the big details well, but forgets some of the little ones that make an extended stay hotel memorable. But that's okay. I can buy a measuring cup and a spatula to leave behind for the next guy. I can live without hangers. The Grand View more than makes up for those minor flaws with what they offer in comfort and convenience. When I visit Wasilla from now on, this is where I will be staying. 더 보기

This was my 2nd stay. Desk personnel very pleasant, hotel clean. Room heat/cool worked very well. The bed pillows were not the fullest and there were only 2, so not much for propping up in bed. Had a good chicken ceasar salad in the lounge one night. Finding out how to get to the hotel from the highway was NOT marked or clear - could use a sign down […] by the Chili's restaurant entrance to point the way. Stay was excellent. Only complaint is that the lights in the hallway to our room were burnt out so it was dark and hard to see to open the door

Not impreesed. We stayed here because it was the most conveniently located. There were two tiny pillows on the queen size bed, two little towels, no lotion to be found in the room. There was LOUD karaoke going on TWO FLOORS below us. And the worst thing: the shower curtain was so dingy I didn't feel clean getting out of the shower. Up side: the bed […] was comfortable, it would have been nice to have an extra pillow since the ones they provide are literally the same dimensions as a milk crate. No complaints.Quite adequate. Would definitely recommend the Grandview and will stay again.

Was glad that we were aloud to take the dogs with us. It really meant alot to my daughter ,which is in custody-staying in Wasilla.

We came into to town for a doctor's appointment. The staff was friendly and we were promptly checked in. The room was very clean. Bed was a little uncomfortable. The only thing that was missing was extra pillows for my expecting wife. A few extra channels on the t.v. would have been nice as well.

My only real complaint is that we were in a jacuzzi suite and there werent any "extra" towels. We have stayed here before and ended up staying a second night this time, and will probably stay again in the near future.

OLD bed. Well worn, Had to ask for pillows, towels, drinking cups for the coffee. No refills on day two for the coffee maker. Paper thin walls No one mentioned the pool was out of comission when we booked. Other than that, ...................... The weather was good.

I'd only recommend based on convenience and it being the only hotel/motel. After staying each weekend for hockey in Anchorage at the Embassy Suites, we kind of got spoiled. Beds were only fair, pillows were horrible, potato chips were on the floor by the bed, not a real comforting feeling.

The room was located two floors above the bar on a Saturday night as we found out at 12:30 AM. We requested on reservations for two beds and got only one and one couch hideabed.Went to get bedding at the front desk for the kids hideabed and there was only one pillow left.It wasn't like the place was full and she could get another pillow out of another […] room. The bathroom had a urine smell to it. We stayed here in2006 and everything was great then. We'll find someplace different next time or stay in Anchorage. 더 보기

I'm not really sure if I would recommend this place. When I checked in, the clerk was rude. She put me into the room IMMEDIATELY next to the elevator, so I heard that all night. The room was tidy, but the shower had been completly skipped. There were TWO partially used soaps on the top edge of the shower, and several long hairs obvious in the tub. I […] had to rinse te tub before I could use it! The location was nice, and being the off-season the rates were reasonable. The change of shift clerk seemed pleasant enough, so I'm not sure if it was just my luck... Like I said, it was a good thing they served alcohol downstairs! 더 보기

This hotel is VERY rundown. I felt it was a big waste of money. I live in alaska and I'm embarrased that tourists have stay here.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Has WIFI, but signal decreases as you get further from the center of the hotel. Had no problem with it in our room. I always bring my own pillows, so I slept well. My husband on the other hand didn't sleep very well. He had two pillows with no support. Besides the pillows are stay was excellent.

We had driven several hours and booked a late arrival check-in. When we arrived, late at night, the hotel didn't have any pet rooms open (we were traveling with our 10 lbs Yorkie). So we had to drive all over Wasilla, for several hours, until we found someone who could take our dog for two days. One of the reasons we chose that hotel was because they […] accepted pets. The night clerk had a "I don't care, don't give a crap about my job or life" attitude. Her customer service skills sucked. When we got into our room it was filthy. The floors looked like they had not been vacuumed and the bathroom was sick. The bathtub had NOT been cleaned at all! There was hair all over the bathtub from the previous customer and even a used bar of hotel soap! YUCK! Not to mention the fact that drunk people were wondering the halls all night and the people above us had a small child that was running and jumping on the floor above us late at night and early in the morning (even though we told the desk clerks several times -- again the attitude was "ohhh well"). This hotel is on the outskirts of Wasilla, AK, very quiet, very clean, friendly service. Restaurant on site, nice heated pool, small gift shop. We stayed for 4 nights, all the staff was wonderful, room was kept clean and we enjoyed ourselves. Hotel is close to a Target, Walmart, IHOP and several more smaller businesses.

The room was dirty and housekeeping never came to my room to clean, so I sat my trash out in the hall and went to the front desk to get clean towels. I stayed five nights and my sheets never got changed.

Unlike some of the other reviews, I found the staff was friendly and the room was reasonably clean. If you are hard of hearing this may be the place to stay in Wasilla. The walls are thin and I could hear the conversations of the people in the room next to us. It really is a mistake to build a hotel and cut corners on insulation between the rooms.

Quick check-in. Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was especially nice in cleanliness and size. Could use larger pillows.

The bathroom light was really dim and the shower head was awful.

We booked the Grand View because of location and the fact that we were able to have our pet stay with us. However, we didn't expect that because we had a dog we would also be treated like one. Our "dog" room was directly above the bar which played very loud music until 2:00 am both nights of our stay. Our hotel room door had about a half inch crack […] all the way around so we could hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallway. Our fridge made this horrible squealing noise and they don't give you enough pillows. (one sm. one per person),if you needed anything from housekeeping you had to go to the front desk and get it yourself. Forget about a nice relaxing shower, the water pressure was so hard that it actually hurt. The people in the room above us sounded like they were moving furniture all night. We would have actually been able to "sleep" better out in our vehicle, 더 보기

the room was great however ther was evidence of bathtub problems. the person who put the caulkins around the bathtub did a very poor job. It look as if it was just pushed in to fill the gap.
