I was immediately upgraded on arrival which I found to be a great welcome. The staff were friendly and engaging. The room was superbly comfortable and the bar meal I ordered was very well presented and enjoyable. I have since booked again.

Very friendly and attentive staff without being intrusive. Great Bar Supper and Breakfast. Room exceptionally clean and comfortable. Was a bit quiet but it was mid Feb. Would recommend for a relaxing night away from it all.

Stayed here for a night and it was very relaxing and was up graded to an executive room. Would highly recommend this hotel.

arrived late at night just for one night, bar closed but night porter made sure we had a drink and provided us with nibbles without being asked too. he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. the rest of the staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. fab breakfast. hotel a bit tired in places but lovely scenery and friendly […] staff more than make up for this. excellent value for money, would definatley return. 더 보기

I booked a single room and was dissapointed to find it was not the same quality as the other rooms. I don't think the single/twin rooms have been upgraded as the rest as the hotel has. The room was a bit smelly in the bathroom and a bit more shabby than the other rooms however when I pointed out the smelly from the bathroom I was upgraded into a double […] room which was really, really good quality. I was very happy with the rest of the hotel and my new room. The staff were very helpful and over all I had a great stay and would recommend to others, just watch out for those older single rooms, worth paying the extra for the double! 더 보기

This hotel is a lovely building from the outside. We stayed in room 106 - don't let the hotel put you in this room. It must be the worst room in the hotel. First appearances are great - big room, nice decor. The window looks onto the air conditioning system for the hotel which is not a pretty sight and the noise was unpleasant. To top this off there […] was a loud banging noise that started up every 90 minutes, starting fast and loud then getting slower until it stopped after about 20 minutes. Just when you got to sleep it started again. We called reception about 5.00am and someone came to listen - agreed it was a problem, said he could hear the noise as he approached the room, said it was not acceptable but nothing was done about it. This is typical of a situation where you have prepaid your room - the hotel and its staff don't have to care. Consequently we left the next morning having had very little sleep. 더 보기

Really good value and for the price a good room. Some decor a little out dated but the fabric of the building with elegant and historic fixtures (especially the stair cases!) really good to see in tact. My partner and I travelled all over Scotland and Ireland. We decided to treat ourselves to a four star well recommended hotel - Newton Hotel. Of all the places we stayed this was the most disappointing. The hotel is in a beautiful spot, fantastic old building, the dinning room and food we had no problem with and the overall cleanliness of the hotel […] was alright but our room was very disappointing. From the reviews we read (all good) I can only imagine the reviewers must have had a suite or expensive room. We had an average room (not a suite) and it was dirty. The bedding had brown marks on, the carpet was unvaccummed and dirty and the room was not cleaned from the previous night dirty glasses. We stayed two nights and the second night our bed hadnt even been remade properly. Overall although a beautiful hotel it is well overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend this hotel. 더 보기

Our stay at the Newton met all our touring requirements. Convenient, quiet, spacious, scenic, friendly, comfortable and great meals.We would thoroughly recommend this hotel. What more can I say!

A traditional Scottish country house...excellent all around stay that will definitely be remembered. Stayed the first week of April and it was empty as it was just before the season started.

As Aussie tourists, we were keen to check out all that the Highlands had to offer. Staying in a castle just seemed like one of the things you only dream about, so when the room rates for this hotel were so competitive we felt as though our dreams had become a reality. We ended up arriving later at night and having dinner in the restaurant, which was […] a delicious feast. Our rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom had heated flooring, the shower pressure was excellent and our room had wireless internet. The room far exceeded our expectations and when we came down for breakfast in the morning, it was one of the best breakfasts we have enjoyed since landing in the UK. The haggis was brilliant! On our way out, we stopped to harass the 'heeland coos' and fed them some hay as they enjoyed a little pat. The only downside to the Newton Hotel is that there was no dungeon, but the receptionist assured me that their other hotels in their chain do. 더 보기

The Newton Hotel ist in einem ehemaligen Schloss mit neueren untergebracht. Das Gebäude ist alleinstehend in sehr ruhiger Lage und umgeben von einem Park gelegen. Die Straße ist einspurig und wird kaum befahren. Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Unser Zimmer und Bad waren sehr sauber, groß und gemütlich. Die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen, Teppich […] abgetreten und die Innenarchitektur etwas verstaubt. Renovierungsbedürftig klingt übertrieben, aber es ist schade, dass viele Kleinigkeiten nicht repariert werden. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich, ausgewogen und sehr gut. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Aufgrund seiner Lage eignet sich das Hotel gut, um Inverness/ Loch Ness (ca. 20 bzw. 40 min. entfernt) zu besichtigen. Der Ort Nairn hat ein schönes Ortszentrum und traumhaft große Strände. Trotz der kleineren Schwachstellen hat uns die Atmosphäre, die Qualität des Frühstücks des Services und die Lage des Hotels überzeugt. Ich werde dieses Hotel, insbesondere aufgrund der sehr guten Preisleistung in unserem Fall, gern wieder besuchen. 더 보기

El hotel se encuentra muy bien situado para desde allí poder recorrer la zona de Inverness-Culloden-Fort George, etc. Encontrar el hotel también fue fácil, con buen acceso al mismo desde la carretera. Los alrededores del edificio son preciosos. Se echa en falta más limpieza en las habitaciones, pues los cristales estaban muy sucios. El mantenimiento […] en general de la habitación, regular. Great location in the city of Nairn for those seeking a true countryside experience in the gorgeous Highlands. The hotel is very nice and adequately priced. Rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast is good, not great. If you want to spend time in the city of Inverness instead of having the countryside experience, this hotel may not suit you.
