It was obviously an older hotel but that just added to the charm. very clean, friendly staff. will definitely stay ther again

booked a mini king and the next morning i was told they had over booked and was moved to a very small queen and was told it would be less but was still charged the same!

I would highly reccommend the Park Hotel in Hot Springs. It is very old, extremely clean, very "close" to everything & the staff is more than gracious. We (4 adults) loved our stay in this majestic, historic hotel & will return soon.

the location is great and the staff are trying to put there smily face on an old building that realy scream for renovation I wish they clean it up. I can't recomend it to some body.

We had a room on the 2nd floor and I asked about the heat since it only said A/C on the wall, decrease or increase. The front desk said the heat was on the 2nd floor but no heat every blew out the registers. Also had no hot water either Sat or Sun morning.

If that is what is important to u....The Park,Bathhouse row..Then it is perfect...My room was very dated but very clean.

I was a guest at this hotel for the night of 2/17/2012. We walk into our room that is suppose to have a shower/ bath tub combination and it only had a shower. After looking upon the bathroom, we discover that the sink has not been clean from evidence of a yellow substance that has been dried on the sink. I enter into the bathroom a little while later […] and discover a baby roach in the bathroom. At this point we wanted to just leave the hotel but after reading over the confirmation email that stated our money couldn't be refunded and due to the fact that there were no other hotels available, we decided to stay. As if that wasn't enough, the walls seemed to be so thin, every sound could be heard outside the room. The hotel and rooms themselves were so old, the doors of each room were forced to be slammed to get them to shut. The door to our bathroom would not even shut all the way. There were also other amenities that we were told we would have, but didn't. I had no particular problem with the service other than the poor maintenance of the hotel and of course the fact that there was a roach in the bathroom. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone I know and I will never be back. 더 보기

The hotel was neat yet service was awful. Had no hot water all weekend and no one seemed to care or do much to make our stay better.

They only good things i can say about this hotel is that it was in a good location and the people were very nice. My husband and I took one look at the room and went and stayed at another hotel that was cheeper and better maintained. I would think for the price of the room we paid for that it would at least have a decent bed. It felt like it was falling […] apart. The bathroom has not been updated since it open. The tv was probably 20 years old. The heat comes from a space heater that they bring to your room. I have never been to a hotel were i had to pay extra for the electricity..what was that about. We paid 7.99 extra for the energy. We were not pleased with the room at all and i would not recommed it to anybody. I work in the hotel business and this hotel was bad! 더 보기

The room was bland and small. They were doing construction on our floor the whole time we were there. There isn't individual room climate control. The staff was extremely rude and we over heard them talking bad about us. I will tell everybody I know not to stay there. Never again. I will pay a little extra to stay at my usual hotel down there. Park Hotel is a historic hotel in a beautiful area, but there seemed to be a large number of barking dogs staying at the hotel with us.

Furnishings were extremely sparse, but the room was clean and the people were nice.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff and their fabulous Southern hospitality. We asked for a glass of milk at 11 p.m. and it was cheerfully given, no charge. The hotel is an antique and it was fun to look at it as such (plumbing fixtures from the 30's, transom over the door from pre-air conditioning days, ancient creaky elevator). I looked out […] my window and saw a drain pipe repaired with duct tape and held up with fishing wire. A lot of "repairs" were like that. The towels were thin, beds and pillows uncomfortable. Hotel was OK. The best thing about it was it was close to most most of the things to do in Hot Springs. Beware of additional fees that they add on when you check in. They called it an energy fee, but it is clearly a way for them to get cheaper pricing on Hotels.com and make it up when you check in.

We just stayed here the past weekend and they were working on the elevator and our room was on the 6th floor. So, we had to wait each time for someone to bring the service elevator down or use the stairs. Also, the hotel is older and it did not have a "window" type air conditioner and the room or floor air unit wasn't working properly, but it was nice […] at night and we were able to open the windows at least. over priced, the a/c was not working they did offer me a box fan for the room, I have stayed in far much nicer hotels for only $ 22.00 more.

MY FRIEND AND I WANTED A RELAXING STAY IN HOT SPRINGS, AND THAT IS JUST WHAT WE GOT!!! WHEN WE ARRIVED MATT, I BELIEVE WAS HIS NAME, MADE OUR CHECK-IN QUICK AND WAS SURE WE HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED! THE NEXT DAY THE MANAGER, JENNIFER HOOKED US UP WITH A GREAT PRICE ON THE TICKETS FOR THE QUAPAW BATH & SPA HOUSE... THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND MADE US FEEL […] WELCOME. THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN! I ESPECIALLY LIKED THAT THE ORIGINAL WINDOWS STILL OPENED, WE WERE FORTUNATE TO GET SOME RAIN AND GOT TO ENJOY THAT "JUST RAINED" SMELL OF THE AIR .... This hotel was build in 1930 and as such is feeling its age. Rooms are small compared to current expectations. Small bar and restaurant on the first floor.

This hotel was clean and nice. Not a fancy place, but cozy. The staff is very friendly. It has a historic charm to it. This is what i liked most about it. I am a history buff. So to stay in this hotel was an awesome experience. It was close to everythig we wanted to do. Within walking distance. I enjoyed it very much.

The only reason I'd recommend this hotel is for the convenience. It's with in walking distance of most anything. The rooms were clean, but they only turned the A/C on during the day & off in the evening which made it very hot while your sleeping. The A/C is actually in the hallway & you have one vent above your door to let the air in. We had to open […] our windows at night, and they don't have any screens on them or guards, (we were on the 5th floor). We also had 4 people staying in our room & they only had 2 keys. We had to get more towels everyday because they only left 2, they acted like we were taking them or selling them or something!! 더 보기

Not comfortable and WAY overpriced! These are worth a couple of twenty dollar bills, to say the least. No internet, 13" box tv, no hair dryer, shower does not work, worn out mattresses, pile of junky air conditioners outside our window, hot room, window a/c that is smaller than the tv. The hotel was charming and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the food at the hotel's Angel Restaurant was delicious, the waitstaff courteous, efficient and delightful. There was even a fountain to get Hot Springs amazing spring water from. Very Old but not bad would stay again

The two star rating is well deserved. I was looking for an inexpensive, one night stop in Hot Springs after what would be a 500 mile drive. Found this Hotel on Hotels.com with very few other choices. Built in 1929, this hotel still retains much of its delightful character. While it may lack modern conveniences of a mini fridge, room safe or microwave, the front desk personnel were incredibly helpful (shout out to Matt!), the bed was comfortable and the room offered lots of closet and drawer space for our belongings. The location, just off of Central […] Avenue, put us within walking distance of the bath houses, many shops and restaurants, and across the street from the National Park. Near National park entrance...although I wasn't in town for that and close to other hotels, downtown, and baths. Clean period hotel.

When we got to hotel found there to be very poor parking provided other than extremly busy street. Also we were charged additional fee for booking on line, room was not clean, linen worn and stained. Blankets had holes in them . Actually had food on wall of room. Hotel has some charm, its in a good location, I just think its a little overpriced for what you get. I do not recommend this hotel to anybody. The staff could care less if you were staying there or eating at the restaurant they have there. The most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on. The bedding was probably 20 years old. There was no shower head in my shower. Smelly & Old.

The Park Hotel seems like it used to be a very nice place a decade or two ago but now the building has aged quite a bit. The room was decently priced but everything else was very mediocre. The room was cozy, the bathroom was tiny, and the towels were scratchy. (We stayed in a room with a queen bed and shower - no tub.) Well maintained older hotel. Captured ambiance of the period (1930s), but with added appointments (TV, A/C, modern phone). Very pleasant front desk staff.

It's definitely different and that was what I was looking for. However, the towels were tiny, scratchy, and thin. The mini blinds didn't block out the light, so it was very bright from the street lights all night long. The bed was mostly very hard, except for a hole in one part of the mattress. This is not a bad hotel. The rooms where adequate and the service was friendly...however, it is not a luxurious hotel by any means. There is NO breakfast. Coffee is served ONLY ON WEEKENDS and the restaurant in closed on Sunday. There are no refrigerators, microwaves or coffee pots in the rooms. The televisions are old and the cable service in limited. […] They do have WiFi that works just fine. Hot water and air conditioner was working well in our room however the AC was not working on the 5th floor. Towels were in poor condition (old, small, worn...but clean) The bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp and white. The hotel is old but not as old as many hotels I have stayed in around the world. With that said, it has not aged well. Carpets are old and worn and could use replacement. The Park staff were friendly and most helpful. The only issue was that I could not access the Internet. The location is perfect since the hotel is in easy walking distance to town and the convenient free parking is also a plus.

Hotel is in main part of town close to all major attractions such as galleries, bath houses, etc. Hotel could badly use some renovation and updating of facilities. Rooms appear to be furnished about like they were 25 years ago. Rooms were clean, staff pleasant, but faucets would not turn off, carpets were thin, and elevator clunky. Staff and service were excellent. Did have trouble at check-in due to extra service charge they wanted to attach. After a while they conceded and we paid nothing additional. Rooms are small but clean and have everything you need. We would use it again.

We stayed at Park Hotel over Memorial Day weekend and were very pleased with our stay. The room was exactly as described on the website and we were given two rooms right next to each other. Contrary to what I've seen in other reviews, the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff is PHENOMENAL - I cannot say enough how helpful they were in providing recommendations, directions, or just conversation.
