The grandious lobby was quickly reduced by the algaed dry wall where water should have flowed. one then enters a dirty futuristic lift,up to room level only to find electronic room key does not work. Very helpful staff. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in early. Location great, loved the river view. Room and bath very adequate. Would certainly stay again. Town is nice size with lots of stores and restaurants.

When we pulled up (even though it said Hotel Selfoss) we didn't think the hotel was the right one. The reason being is half of the hotel (not shown in the photo's) looked like a very old tired and derilict building. The hotel part is new and inside was very nice. Our room was fine but I was really disappointed that the spa wasn't part of the hotel package, […] I didn't expect spa treatments to be free but at least use of the facilities. As a result we didn't bother. Overall the hotel was average but I have to say the restaurant is fabulous, it is right on the river and the food was amazing. Shame about the buckets catching the rain water, they obviously had a major problem with the roof. The breakfast was average, similiar to everywhere else in Iceland 더 보기

The hotel was very quiet, perhaps we were there out of season but we were only looking for a place to eat & sleep and for that, it was very comfortable, clean and economical. Food & drinks were expensive but probably not out of line with Iceland in general.

This hotel is easy to find - located just across the bridge in Selfoss. It has a large car park so parking is easy (and as with almost all car parks in Iceland apart from in Reykjavik - free!). As we had pre-booked check-in time was fantastic - less than 30 seconds. Our room was very large, the beds were comfortable and there was masses of storage […] space. The bathroom was adequate if a little dated with the only downside being the very thin and tatty towels. A buffet breakfast was included in the room price - taken in the dining room with large picture windows overlooking the fast flowing Offusa river. 더 보기

Lage gut als Zwischenstop zur Weiterfahrt an der Südküste. Zimmer klein, Möblierung alt und unmodern aber allgemein in Ordnung. Armaturen im Badezimmer verkalkt und ersatzbedürftig. Restaurant am Abend sowie Buffet am Morgen mit grosser Auswahl und von sehr guter Qualität.

as a starting point for tours throughout the south, the hotel is perfect. selfoss as a town hasn't got much to offer, but you're located almost directly at route no.1 so every point of interest in the south can be reached within a reasonable time span. i was rather disappointed with the "standard" of the hotel rooms though. the shower was all calcareous […] and looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in quite a while. same with the toothbrush-glasses in the bathroom, etc.pp. although i stayed for six nights, my room was only cleaned every other day, not even the bed had been made... just in case this is of importance to you, you only have about 7 tv-channels. about half of them in english. internet is only available in the lobby-area. the restaurant, which the hotle claims it has a high standard, was fairly disappointing. must say the same thing for about any other restaurant in the south though. every meal is drowned in sauce, lots and lots of not well prepared vegetables on every plate, all in all, just not made with the loving and caring attention the superbe products (fish, seafood) of iceland would deserve. all though there are really a lot of negative things to say about the hotel, and under no circumstances can i see where the four stars should come from, it is really the perfect starting point for tours. so if you can get a good deal, take it, and be aware of some insufficiencies that more than likely will occur to you. 더 보기

Frukost skulle kunnat vara bättre. Annars var det OK.
