It's always hard to tell what a place will be like from the internet, but this was surprisingly better than expected. Very clean, staff very friendly & helpful and the free breakfast was a bonus. I stayed a night visiting my sister who stays in the area, and it was very clean. The staff was very polite and helpful. We had everything we needed and I was very pleased about the stay. Easy to find and easily accessible to the surrounding area.

Beds are hard. Heat went from one extreme to the other. It was hard to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The free breakfast is good. Kids enjoyed making there own waffles.

We spent two nights at the Quality Inn Hyde Park, and for the most part we were pleased with our stay. As other reviewers have pointed out, it's tough to find a good hotel in the Hyde Park area, and this one was relatively reasonably priced. The location is unbeatable - the area's main attractions (FDR House, Vanderbilt Mansion, Culinary Institute of […] America, Val-Kill Cottage) are all located off of the same road as the hotel within easy driving distance. The room was very clean, and it's nice that the hotel provides a full breakfast (eggs, a breakfast meat, waffles, plus the usual continental breakfast fare). The negatives were that the bed was not very comfortable and the toilet had a habit of running for a very LONG time after you flushed it. Unfortunately, the toilet was also extremely loud when flushed, so this was more than a minor annoyance. Overall, however, the hotel is fine for a brief stay, especially if you're traveling on a tight budget. 더 보기

Stay was overall great. Was a late check in and needed extra towels and blankets. Check in staff stated was in the dryer and would be up shortly, waited quite a while and when called again was different staff that was never told we needed anything. Otherwise great stay.

Stayed in room to shower and sleep. Main purpose was to visit CIA which is a few miles away. Route 9 can be tricky when leaving the hotel due to no traffic signal, left turns, and traffic.

I have to say that I was a bit disapponted, especially given the price was significantly higher than a place directly across the street ((where my brother had stayed). Although both places were dated, I could not appreciate the difference in pricing and I doubt I wil encourage people to choose this hotel if in the area. I had to ask for another room […] when the one I'd been assigned smelled mildewy, musty. Thankfully, it was a weekday evening, so they re-assigned a room with an apology and the second room was fine. Unfortunately, I had issues with my room key card not working properly. Had to have it "fixed" on two occasions. One employee even acknowleged that they seem to have trouble with the key card for that room in particular---so seemed like a long standing issue that is not being addressed. The continental breakfast was quite nice, offering a nice variety of choices. Staff were on top of keeping the breakfast area well-stocked thoughout the 6-10 AM timeframe it was available. 더 보기

This is a solid value for the money. My impression is that it is one of the better choices in the area. It's not the Ritz, but it's clean and comfortable, and the staff was professional and efficient. It's, literally, across the street from President Franklin Roosevelt's home in Hyde Park. I would stay here again.

Basic hotel, clean and convenient for what we wanted to do, visit FDRs home which is across the street. There are other things in the area to see. Good accomodations for a weekend trip at an affordable price.

Staff is friendly. Room was clean but air conditioning cycled on and off all night even though it was set on High Cool. That was annoying. The breakfast was a nice surprise with waffles, eggs and sausage. Overall impression was good. AC was a problem, though.

We checked in and were assigned a room very close to the parking lot but we were told there was no outside entrance near our room. We dragged all our luggage the entire distance to our room because of the night clerk. The next morning we checked out and drove home as my husband had had a massive heart attack. I CANNOT believe they wanted $10 MORE for a refrig and microwave; at the price we paid. When it was a Super * it was greate. Disappointed - never again!!!

The most serious issue was that there is a smoking and non-smoking section on the second level and the smell of smoke either drifts in from one to the other or people in the non-smoking do their puffing in the hall. Second issue is the free breakfast is adequate but it would be nice to have a healthier yoghurt, and fruit.

There was a muted noise of some kind of compressor coming from the bathroom area, but the exhaust fan was off. I slept well with ear plugs, but my friend, not as well. The breakfast food offered was ok. Sufficient to start the day. Waffles, eggs, cereal, bagels and few other items.
