A bwonderful hotel with great rooms! The hotel is a short walk along a beautiful beach from Cabo San Lucas and the marina.

The good: Rooms were beautiful, clean, well laid out, fruit bowl, L'Occitane amenities. Having out own kitchen while on vacation was amazing, and the supermarket on site (at Villa Palomar) was reasonable. Great being able to walk right onto Medano beach, and views of Lands End. We watched the sunset while drinking Pina Colada's every night. The food […] at the resort restaurants was good - although they're pretty much American prices, you're better off going into town. The Desert Spa was absolutely gorgeous, whirlpools, steam rooms etc - we both got massages. The bad: Location is a bit far to walk to town - we did it every day, but it's a good 20 or so minute walk. They were painting our corridor and resurfacing by the pool - the chemical smell was UNBEARABLE! The time-share thing is the worst though - we went on this vacation to relax, and the second you check in, they set you up with a "personal concierge" who tries to bribe you with coupons and overloads you with advertising. We ended up just paying the $20 deposit for the 1 1/2 hour breakfast presentation the next day just so we could leave and go to our room, knowing full well we weren't going to show up. But then she starts calling us at 7:30am! We ignore it, and they call again at 8am, 8:30 am, 9am - we ended up unplugging the phone, which I highly recommend you do the second you get to your room. The following day as we're walking through the lobby, she runs up to us again to ask if we're alive and try to get us to go to another "presentation", trying to bribe us with more drink coupons. Have been to this beautiful property 5 times so we really like it...but this time had its dissapointments. The pool staff was not up to par. Some of the waiters were down right rude. We were very surprised by this. One of our favorite things about Mexico is how friendly everyone is. We had asked for an up-grade to our room since the hotel was obviously […] not full by any means and were told no. In years past we have booked one of their largest rooms...twice. He have never asked for any upgrade until this visit. The pool bar drinks were not very tasty, kind of watery and they are not cheap. I hope next time we go back these problems have passed. We loved the location of this hotel. It is within walking distance of the beach restaurants, downtown and the marina. The pool area is beautiful! If you don't do the all inclusive, make a pitstop at Walmart or Costco to stock up on sodas and snacks - food at the poolside is pricey.

My husband & I were in need of a relaxing vacation. He travels all over the world & we wanted a hotel which catered to some fun when we wanted, but well rest when needed. We took our 11 yr old daughter who thoroughly enjoyed the stay @ Villa Del Arco. The pool activities were a lot of fun! The director was a great entertainer. There was plenty to choose from on menus & beverages were flowing regularly!! We choose the all inclusive & really feel well worth the extra money. Walking down the beach to the marina was beautiful. If you wanted more action packed, loud music, etc. that was the place to go. Massage by the pool is a must!! Our daughter was in heaven! Very, very friendly staff. Everyone greeted us. Check in by the way was great. They even brought us a cold beverage while waiting in line. It wasn't difficult at all like some of the reviews I've read. We loved our hotel was quiet & not too rowdy. We spent a nice, comfortable night here and enjoyed the pool and beach. We didn't have a chance to take advantage of the spa, fitness center or even the food but we imagine they are all great given how nice our room and the pool were. We had read warnings about getting the time share speech so we cleverly found our own way to our room rather than "meet […] with the concierge for a tour" after we checked in. Overnight, a note was slipped under our door that we'd missed our tour and to get in touch ASAP, but we ignored it. I think if we'd been there more than a day they would have caught up with us to pressure us about time shares but our evasive maneuvers worked! 더 보기

We have stayed here numerous times and keep coming back. The best location on Medano Beach with the largest rooms at a fantastic rate. The staff could not have been nicer. It is a delightful place to stay. Easy to get in town, yet far enough away from the rowdy bars on the beach to give you quiet. Paradise!!!!!!!

Big condo/time-share hotel on a swimmable beach 1 Km from Cabo S.L. If you get a good deal, it a good choice, since it's short taxi/bus to the Marina/downtown where all the action is, and the beach (part of Medano) is swimmable. If u go to the time-share presentation, you get some freebies and reduced rates: push for as much as you can get, and walk […] out at 90+1 minutes. DO NOT ACTUALLY BUY A TIMESHARE - it's a total rip-off. Pools/bar are nice. The restaurants are mediocre and highy over-priced: we got the $150 food/beverage credit valid for dinner only, which makes what you get about worth what you end up paying out of pocket. Cabo is fun: scuba/snorkeling, lots of fun bars/restaurants, dolphins, golf, parasailing, etc. You don't have to change dollars into pesos at all - every place takes dollars (and the prices are American to match). 더 보기
