The hotel is nice, very clean and almost new. The price is a little bit stiff, with no breakfast included, but there are plenty of other places for breakfast close by. It's right in the town center, so it's an easy walk from the train station. Having the river close by with bars and restaurants is especially nice. Modern comfort smack in the middle of historic old town center. You cannot ask for a better location, especially if you're there for the annual tulip Festival parade. Staff is very nice and helpful. Free internet in the lobby and a Nestle 5-gallon water dispenser on every floor. No contest.

We found a great deal through hotels.com for the Jr. Executive Suite-- there are four in the hotel-- and it was just a little bit more than their regular rooms. It was a large space with some nice amenities... very good value for the $$. And the hotel staff were great to us. A nice ending to a two-week trip across Holland.

An excellent welcome, comfortable and centrally located for a restful weekend in old Haarlem

this hotel is very convenient to most of the tourist area. it was very easy to get around and the local people were very nice, always helpfu, walking distance to the train and only 20 mins from the center of amsterdam.

A great hotel in a superb location. Really clean and comfortable. Only slight grumble was lack of English speaking TV channels - I don't want rolling news on BBC/CNN etc. But that is so slight a grumble I would certainly stay here again!

We totally enjoyed our first stay here. The staff was very plesant and helpful. Great places to shop and eat at Grote market nearby. Loved hearing the chimes from cathedral, Saturday market in central square, and ease of train travel to Amsterdam. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The hotel offered free Wifi but this was erratic. The surrounding area is also noisy.

Pleasant Hotel with reasonable standard of finish & fittings. Maybe a little tired, but not too adverse. Parking was in a private car park to the rear for 15 Euro per day. Located not far from the Main Train Station deep in the heart of the Jewish neighborhood Orthodox Jews everywhere one looked. Fascinating. A 15 minute or so walk to the shopping […] center which runs away from the Rail Station entrance, and then maybe another 10 mins to the nice old area & restaurants etc. Da Giovanni ( web dagiovanni.be) was a Pasta & Pizza place we found serving huge Pastas & to die for Pizza very cheap! I`ve tried to cancel one night and the hotel did not accepted, even charging me one night as in the contract. I ask to talk to the manager but he was not at the hotel, because he (she) don`t work on weekends :). I don`t recommend this hotel because they don`t respect their guests and don`t accept canccelations.

Lovely large room with a deluxe bathroom. Very comfortable.

We enjoyed our visit (our first!) to Harlaam and our stay at the Amrath Grand Hotel Frans Hal. The location is great - right off of Grote Market. A tremendous variety of restaurants and sights are within a very short walking distance. Staff was very friendly and room was very typical. Hotel was within walking distance (about 15 minutes) from the train […] station. Negatives: 1. The bed was very, very soft and warn. Personally, it hurt my back, but for others it may not be bad. 2. The square in front of the hotel can get very loud in the evenings - between the bars, people, church bells. We found that the windows were pretty well insulated and it didn't bother us, but visitors should be aware of it. 더 보기

I arrived late, but that was no problem (other hotel booking websites have you ring by noon or lose your room). Hotel ws very nice, quiet, just half a block from the centre of Haarlem -- convenient to everything! Comfotable bed, plenty of desk and table space. And they were very helpful with my gluten-free dietary needs. About the only problem I experienced […] was a party on a Friday night (started about half past midnight, ended in the wee hours of the morning) outside my window, which was directly across from apartments/balconies. Certainly not the hotel's fault, but getting a room facing another direction might be a better plan in the future. 더 보기

We decided to stay in Haarlem instead of Amsterdam, and this hotel was the best! The room was so comfortable (bed, shower and TV were all high quality), and the location right in the heart of this charming town was great. It was a short 10-minute walk to the train station where we then took a 15-minute train into Amsterdam. Situated smack in the center of Haarlem's historic district, the hotel is perfect for exploring Haarlem's churches, museums, and outstanding variety of restaurants, all within walking distance. If you use the city's Appledoorn underground parking garage, use stairwell B to exit next door to the hotel.

Location is great. Short walk from train station and all of the local sights. Haarlem is a quaint little town great for walking about and only a short 15-20 minute train ride to Amsterdam. Hotel staff was helpful with dinner reservations and quickly responded to a minor maintenance problem we had. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel with a friendly staff. Rooms were clean and well kept. Nice shower/bathroom and comfortable bed. Staff was empathetic but couldn't offer an explanation about my souvenir Beer Glass that went missing from my room.

A very pleasant hotel right next to the main square in Haarlem. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Only 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam's main station & much cheaper than other 4 stars hotels in Amsterdam

Wij verbleven 1 nacht in dit hotel en het was super. De ligging is echt helemaal top om Haarlem te voet te verkennen. Het enige nadeel was dat wij 2 zeer zachte eenpersoonsbedden hadden, maar dat is natuurlijk zeer persoolijk. Verder alleen maar goeds over dit hotel.

Prima hotel, ideaal gelegen voor een weekendje shoppen. Voldoende leuke restaurantjes en winkels in de directe omgeving. Ook de stadswandeling en het bezichtigen van de Grote Kerk zijn de moeite waard.

Hôtel très confortable, bien situé malgré un environnement (bars, restaurants) bruyant le week-end surtout pour les chambres côté rue. Chambres irréprochables.

This hotel is perfect and clean but one thing is bad, the beds. The beds are very soft and fall down a lot in the middle making it very bad for you back. The pillows are also bad, very hard and impossible to make them smaller so you have to sleep in a very bad position with your neck.

Weekend van 23 juli in Haarlem geweest en overnacht in het Frans Hals hotel. Goed bevallen. Nette kamers, werkende airco, prima bed en een ruime douche. De parking onder het hotel is wel erg duur. Wij hebben daarom de auto bij de P&R in Haarlem Spaarnerwoude weggezet. In de stad heb je toch geen auto nodig. Hotel ligt lekker centraal dus je bent zo […] op de markt of bij het station. Een geweldig net hotel met een goede service. Dicht bij (in) de binnenstad dus in no time ben je op je hotelkamer. De hotelkamer ziet er keurig netjes verzorgd uit en is van alles voorzien. Zeker een aanrader.

Hotel is very quiet, located in the very center of Haarlem. Room was quite big and well furnished. Position is perfect also for visiting Amsterdam if you have a car - unique problem: parking is so expensive!

We hadden een prima verblijf in het hotel. Ligging is perfect midden in het centrum. Goede plek om te verblijven om een dagje te shoppen in deze mooie stad
