Great location with beautiful view. Very nice and very clean.

There ought to be an age-of-hotel listing on your site. This OVERPRICED relic from the 50's is fine for single men going into the military, but NOT for my high maintenance wife who prefers the little things one comes to expect in a hotel room these days. Things like an iron, a coffee maker, more than just two dresser drawers, grounded outlets, a full […] length mirror, adjustable shower heads, complimentary breakfast, and perhaps room service. The people who work there were fine...but we were quite taken aback at the extremely outdated facility compared to the sister hotel right next door! (Blue Nose Inn) This place would not be receiving this negative review if it were not for the rate they charged! You want to run a crappy hotel, that's your business, but don't charge the 'going' rate that other, more modern facilities are charging! I would stay in the Blue Nose, but will never suggest the Wonderview to anyone. The Looking Glass Restaurant has a great view, as well, but come on! $32 for breakfast for two is pretty darn steep! Their "buffet" consisted of only FIVE items! Can you say Tourist TRAP!? 더 보기

inspite of 3 days of rain the accomodations were good, dinner excellent. Dinner was a little pricey, but excellent in portion size and preparation. Servers, hotel staff and fron desk were all excellent as well. I would stay there again.

When I arrived I was informed that there was a $20 a night fee for the dog. My complaint is when you're looking for pet friendly hotels on the internet, I feel the hotels should list what the fee is for pets. We parked right outside our door & easily thought of having the dog sleep in the car. I felt $20 a night was steep for a pet fee. I usually stay […] in Starwood hotels where there is no charge. We went all the way out to Maine & back to Mivhigan & only paid the pet fee @ the Wonder View. On their side, they were very friendly & did give us a bowl & biscuit for pooch. 더 보기

The hotel was simple, ordinary, and looks like it belongs in the 1950's. The room was sparse and shabby. There were no dark shades on the windows, so bright eastern light came in at 5 in the morning. I would not stay here again.

This was probably a very decent place 50 years ago, but it apparently hasn't been renovated since then. The room smelled of mold. With much airing, the smell dissipated, but my wife could hardly stand to stay in the place. (At least the bed was clean and comfortable.) The location is great on a hill overlooking the water and the islands close to Bar […] Harbor, with a good view of Mt. Cadillac from the site and a short walk to town, but the facility needs to be totally remodeled or torn down and rebuilt from scratch before I would set foot in it again. 더 보기

Our stay at the Wonder View was WonderFul! We were so close to Acadia National Park, with the free shuttle bus arriving almost in front of our door. Our son and family stayed in another room, and they had stayed at this hotel four years ago. They said it was updated from that time, and we were all very happy with our accomodations. Clean room, nice view, a little outdated.

Decoration and facilities were a little on the older side, but everything was very clean. Free shuttle takes you from hotel to downtown Bar Harbor!

I was not expecting much when we arrived but the the Wonder View was great for the price. The location was just outside of town but still walkable, the free shuttle service drops you in the center of town and the staff was pleasant. The rooms could use some updating but it was still clean and comfortable. The Looking Glass restaurant has great views […] and even better blueberry pancakes. Acadia is a very short drive from the motel. 더 보기

Stayed in hilltop. Excellent scenic view. Wish those trees in the left side were not that tall, and obstructing some of the view. Well and professionaly maintained. I will surely choose this again.

They were replacing the carpeting in the courtyard rooms while we were there and ours had already been replaced which was nice,but the hotel does need to do some refurbishing. The bathrooms in particular need a complete overhaul. We only stayed one night and it was fine. The view of Bar Harbor from the balcony of my room was spectacular! I didn't want to leave!

This "sister property" to the Blue Nose Inn is really the red-haired step-child, and the hotel staff treated it like a poor relation. There were only 6 rooms occupied on our level, but they bunched the guests in rooms right next to each other -- rooms that were probably new in the 1950's. Through the paper-thin walls we got to listen to the raucous […] cconversation and barking dog of the guests next to us until 1:00 AM. When we told the manager about it the next morning, she told us that it was OUR fault, since we did not call the front desk to complain. We will never make the mistake of staying there again. 더 보기

The Wonderview has great views of Bar Harbor at a reasonable price. Our room No. 71 was at the upper level of rooms offering the best views. Ask for this location. The room is older but clean and convenient. The outside deck has a panorama of the whole harbor. Did not try the food or room service because the weather was not conducive to a long stay. […] The Hotel staff at sign in was helpful and polite. All in all a pleasant stay. 더 보기

We stayed here the last night before it closed for the season. The room is dated, but clean and comfortable. Very close to town. 1/2 price drinks by the fireplace. Balcony overlooks the ocean.

This hotel is an easy place to relax and spend the day after sight-seeing in Bar Harbor.

Old not very well maintained structure. Ice machine outside in separate structure. No iron, hair dryer, tissues etc. No wireless in room internet. No heat in bath room except small space heater. In general it was a shock in view of the prices charged.

Great views from the rooms, convenient shuttles take you downtown in minutes so you don't have to hassle with the parking downtown. The Looking Glass restaurant has the most panoramic view my husband and I have seen. Great hotel, friendly, clean, convenient and so reasonably priced. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone.

Very nice view from the balcony. But you do not stay outside of the room for most of the time, right? Bedding was not clean, I found something sticky on the sheet... Luckily I carried my own bedding with me so I changed everything... Toilet had some problem with the flush system, so you have to open the lid of the tank to make sure the rubber stopper […] is on the right spot, otherwise you can't get a full tank of water... Very bad insulation, we could hear everything people next door talked. In the morning I was waken up by a car beeping right in front of my room... 더 보기

This was an old fashioned inn with basic (and somewhat run down bath area) but very comfortable accommodations. We were assigned a room in the strip of rooms at the highest elevation on the property, and were able to drive up to our door. The view of the harbor was absolutely incredible! It is conveniently located, a good walk to downtown Bar Harbor, […] has a bar and restaurant on the property (which we did not visit since we were meeting people at their homes), and has a warm and welcoming staff. I would recommend the place to anyone interested in seeing the real Maine, who is willing to pay the rather high price. 더 보기

The Wonder View Motel provided a clean room, upgraded bathroom, and spectacular view of Bar Harbor. We strongly recommend it for people planning to visit Acadia National Park and / or Bar Harbor.

wifi did not work in my room, but did in office. no breakfast, but they did have coffee...very old, but most of the places are. The location is excellent and made up for the fact that it was not as nice as your average roadside La Quinta.

This hotel was awful. It reminded me of every motel scene I've ever seen in a horror movie. It hasn't been updated in 50 years. The view is not that great. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms even smaller. Our floor was covered in leaves & pine needles. The moulding on the window was cracked to the point it was completely open for bugs to enter. The […] bedspread was stained. After being in the room for 10 minutes, my husband and I went and found another hotel and ate the funds we had already paid out for this one. It was awful!! Hotel was very clean but furniture and decor are from the 70's at best. The resteraunt delivered room service to us from up the hill 2 days and it was cold. At the end of our stay they decided they could no longer deliever to our hotel. Apparently the reseraunt is part of the adjacent hotel, The Blue Nose Inn. the only drawback was the fact that they would not allow early check-in; out-of-season along with plenty of empty rooms we were disappointed we could not check in early, but there was plenty to do in town and when we did check in, the room was clean and no neighbors on either side of the room - very nice!!

It looks like a Holiday Inn of the 1960's. Bed was older and sagged. Pillows too soft. The Drapes and bed spread were old and the A/C unit was noisy. We should have stayed at the Bluenose next door- we would have been happier. The resturant on the property was very nice and the best part of our stay.

Well located and easy to get to, Convenient, very good restaurant,great view.

This is a very old and tired hotel. The room was small and completely devoid of any amenities. Difficult for two people to move around in the room without taking turns. There was dirt on the millwork, burnt mark on carpet, and who know what else that could not be seen. Would definitely not recommend this place at any price.

As promised, the view was great. Room was clean and very big. Walking distance to Bar Harbor Village. We were right next to the restaurant, which had an amazing view. Food was good, but pricey. Bathtub didn't hold water long enough for a decent bath, which was disappointing. Beds were comfy. Staff was very nice. We'd stay again.

Location and view was great. But the building and room looked too old. They were not updated at all and like a motel. I thought I paid too much just for the view.

We stayed in two different rooms on two separate days during our vacation. The hotel is older, but is clean and all the fixtures worked and the bed was comfortable. I am not sure that we would have stayed for longer than a night. As others have indicated, this is not a luxury hotel. It's an older two-star hotel in an excellent location - nothing fancy and not cheap, but a reasonable value for the location. Since my room was close to the office, I had wifi in my room, although I understand that is not necessarily the case for all rooms. However, only one outlet that I could plug […] my laptop into and that was in the bathroom! (Old fashion two-hole outlets elsewhere). Older TV, no large/flat screen. You can use the gym at the Bluenose next door, and it's quite decent. It is a great place to stay, if like me, you plan to be out in Acadia and Bar Harbor all day and just need a clean, comfortable place nearby to sleep in the evening.
