We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, though the bed was very hard!

I chose this hotel based on an internet search (and previous comments from other travelers). I found the place comfortable and clean, and location was excellent (facing the "Arno" river, a couple of blocks -walking distance- to the "Ponte Vecchio"). You will not find it "luxury", but it's a nice place, and price is good.

It's located across the Arno from the city, in the Oltrarno. If you want to be walking distance close to all the attractions but not in the middle of the chaos that can be Florence, stay here. We loved it! The people at the front desk are spectacular, so helpful in every way. They made dinner recommendations, reservations, looked up train schedules, […] gave directions, printed boarding passes, gave wake up calls, and called taxis. The hotel had a great breakfast offering, a bar and beautiful terrace. They do offer parking for around 20 euro but we turned in our car when we got to Florence. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance nearby and a small grocery next door. Our room (number 38) was surprisingly spacious with free wifi, flat screen tv with many english stations, a slightly hardish king bed, minibar, spotlessly clean bathroom with tub shower and bidet, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, soaps, shampoos, etc. The bathroom linens are actually linen and the bath towels are more like giant dishtowels but still effective. The room was at the back of the hotel overlooking a small street, at first we thought we wanted the river side of the hotel facing the city but we loved our room. It was quite (for Florence) and private. When we wanted a view, we went out to the hotel terrace. Just a note, we stayed in mid October and needed neither heating nor cooling, so if you stay in the summer you might want to check if the rooms are air-conditioned. Yeah, the furnishings could stand to be updated but it was by no means shabby or luxurious, it's a well kept, clean, aging hotel in an ancient city. On our first trip to Italy we paid a premium to stay at Hotel Silla. The location was quite good but the hotel was a huge disappointment. Outdated hotel and conveniences but the worst are the rooms. Unclean, noisy and the worst was the stuffiness and heat of the rooms. Considering the outside temperature was cool, the rooms retain their heat and its […] impossible to sleep unless you are used to sleeping in a sauna. In general the staff were rude and unhelpful. We ended up forfeiting 2 nights accommodation costs just to get out of the hotel. Would not recommend to anyone. 더 보기

H. Silla is close enought to get easily to Florence's main sights on both sides of the river, yet it is in a qiuet little side street tha is away from the many crowds of tourists. The ourdoor breakfasts are charming, the rooms are a little larger than normal in this price range, and the staff is very accommodating.

The Hotel Silla was a very nice hotel with a nice staff. We had a great experience and felt safe there. There was even a market next door for snacks for a great price. The air conditioner made the perfect drone to block out any occasional outside noise. Our room faced the Arno and the breakfast was very nice as well.

hs hot was not the best, but it was ok for the price. It had a funky smell, like moist, but it was nothing we couldnt stand. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was ok if your interested in the Michaelangelo's park, but to get to the other side crossing the pontte vechio we had to walk about 15 minutes. Initially I was disappointed by the size of the room however it is set in a lovely location near some good restaurants and bars across the river on via Di benci. We were in room 6 which was very noisy in the morning as it it right beside the breakfast area and main route to reception. The shower also over flowed after a couple of mins. Very affordable for the location. It's a bit noisy, but that's to be expected in this location. The staff was incredible, spoke very good English. Had great restauratant recommendstions. The breakfast included was adequate. Their bar area and patio were great.

We were pleasantly surprised by Hotel Silla. It is one block from the river across the street from a quiet shaded park. The hotel has a second floor balcony where breakfast is served (at least during the summer), surrounded by flowering plants and attended to by very friendly staff. Our hotel room was large by European standards (we had a double) and […] the air conditioning worked great...particularly important in the 90F heat. The hotel offered free internet in the lobby and had a parking garage for our rental car. The hotel staff spent most of the day trying to get us a reservation at the art museum by phone. That was typical of the staff - who always seemed ready to help with anything we asked. The bed was comfortable - again, by European standards. And the bathroom was reasonably sized. The hotel was about a ten minute walk from Ponte Vecchio and about fifteen minutes from the Duomo. If we go to Florence again, we'll stay at Silla...great value for the location and comfort. 더 보기

The Hotel Silla was great value for money, and within 5 mins of the Ponte Vecchio, so ideally placed. The only minor complaints we had were that the bar was closed when we arrived at 8pm on a Thursday, and the breakfast was mediocre, although I have had far worse! Cozy location on a courtyard south of the Arno with great nearby dining and a short stroll to Ponte Vecchio and old Firenze

I was recently married in Florence, and was very thankful our wedding party chose to stay in Hotel Silla, especially since I needed a "home away from home" for about two weeks and 8 rooms in total. Luckily, all of our guests raved about how much they enjoyed the hotel and staff and even commented on staying there again in the future. In short, from […] the moment of our arrival, the staff was extremely accommodating and went "above-and-beyond" there duties to make us feel comfortable, welcomed, and at home. In fact, the entire staff was always ready and willing to answer any questions, offer suggestions on their personal favorites, hail cabs, make reservations, and even track down a lost iPhone left in a taxi (they WERE successful by the way). Essentially, they were amazing, and I will never forget some of the friendships that were made (Thank you Antonio)! Next, each room in Hotel Silla had a unique charm and was generously spacious by European standards. Also, each room had a mini fridge (great for keeping food or drinks cold from the supermarket NEXT DOOR), unbelievably great central heat/air, and personal, spacious bathrooms. Additionally,the cleanliness and promptness of the housekeeping staff was unparalleled as well. In fact, they were so quick and unintrusive in their cleaning that we hardly knew they were around at all. The management definitely took pride in selecting and training the Hotel Staff. Lastly, the two greatest things about Hotel Silla was the beautiful and delicious breakfast (served on the terrace in the summer) and its location in the quiet Oltrano district. In short, it offers the best of both worlds in Tuscany by providing quiet nights and immediate access to all of the City Centre's sights. Also, as mentioned before, there is a supermarket next door, as well as a pharmacy, a tabacchi shop (for bus tickets), and an ATM. Everything was beautiful and the supportive staff made our stay wonderful! We got in after midnight and there was no problems with check in. The staff was always ready when we asked for advice on local attractions or restaurants. Wonderful stay!

部屋が広く、アンティーク調の家具が揃えられており、趣のあるよいホテルです。ホテルのロケーションも良く、主要な美術館や教会まで歩いていけます。フロントの男性は大変親切で、車の駐車などに付き添ってくれました。８月に滞在しましたが、朝食はテラスでとり、気持ちよかったです。朝食は、パン、果物、チーズ、ハムなどが中心。少し期待はずれでしたが、コーヒーはとてもおいしかった。

Vi er svært fornøyd med hotellets beliggenhet. Kunne tenkt meg litt mindre støy om natten. Det var heller ingen utsikt fra rommet. Men hotellet lå veldig sentralt. Svært hyggelig personale. Spesielt vil jeg fremheve en deilig frokost med svært god service. Rommet ble godt rengjort hver dag. Vil også nevne at det var gode resturanter i nærheten som gav […] en mer autentisk intrykk en i sentrum der det var svært turistifisert. Så vi fant oss en restaurant, jeg tror den het Ricco. God service, upåklagelig hyggelige og høflige ansatte. Svært sentralt med gangavstand til alle seværdigheter

Hotellet var veldig greit. Rent, rolig og passe gåavstand til sentrum. Litt kjedelig frokost, men i grunnen et bra hotell til prisen.

Venlig og hjælpsom personale. Dejlig terrase hvor morgenmaden serveres. Udsigt til floden Arno, meget tæt på byen, helt tæt på den gamle bymur, tæt på landet og gode gåture. Lille supermarked på pladsen. Dejlig restaurant/Osteria bag hotellet med udsigt til gamle byport.
