I paid extra so it would no t only be great but really great. The room was small and the KING size bed was twon singels pushed together on a slippery floor. When we complained we were told thats what we get! No attempt to make us happy. Avalon is not worth the money just because its location. Very overpriced and over designed it becomes tacky. Great hotel with beautiful and modern rooms, right in center of Gothenborg, Top class all the way

The hotel had no small business center which was a disappointment. Otherwise great hotel and personel excellent

Great hotel right in city centre, close to bars and shops. Hotel rooms were lovely, staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great, varied choice.

Hotel was in great place in Gothenburg and rooms were spacious and fancy. I recommend warmly the hotel for any business travellers and shoppers.

Great location, comfortable bed, quiet room. Unfortunately the design aspects sometimes clash with practicality with the result that the loo door was more of a small screen (lack of privacy) and the shower water ran everywhere.

The Avalon has so much going for it, not least of all the amazing staff. Nothing is ever too much and from the breakfast crew in the morning to the bar staff in the evening the service is seemless and welcoming. The front desk personnel are forever smiling and always helpful. We enjoyed our stay in the heart of Gothenburg in this design led hotel. Comfortable rooms, although small and only one comfy chair. The sink and shower were lovely design but like many of the features not really practical - sink too shallow, shower flooded the floor. The air conditioning was on its lowest point but did not cool the room (receptionist […] said they could not do anything about this). The service is superior - we chatted several times with the friendly desk clerks and found them very helpful. The breakfast is excellent with more than enough to get you started on a full day of touring. The only hesitation is that the air-conditioning is very minimal. This was an excellent hotel in a highly convenient location. The hotel was modern and clean, with an excellent breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and I would strongly recommending staying here.

Great hotel. Nice design. Rooms are quiet despite the street noise. The restaurant is also excellent. Now that the place is a few years old, some of the fixtures are breaking. One of our sinks didn't drain, and the tub fixtures in the bathroom of a friend staying in a different room were also falling apart. We'd definitely stay there again.

This hotel should never have 4 stars. The corridors leading to rooms were dreary and if this is Feng Shui then give me the alternative any day. Although rooms were adequate they were not luxury by any standards. Bar staff at night very rude . Hotel is hard to find by car because of one way streets and it is on a pedestrian street. Valet parking efficient. Room (superior) large,and minimal which is good, but also minimal storage for clothes etc. Bedside lighting poor and unromantic. Colour scheme, difficult to live with. Large bathroom, and shower area, but spoilt by shower curtain rather […] than screen. Balcony good. Wifi good. Buffet breakfast good, but do not go late as they begin to clear up very promptly. We arrived at the hotel at 1.30pm and check in wasn't until 4pm but girl on reception took our bags and kept them in a locked cupboard for us. There were 4 bags in all. We went for a look around Gothenburg and came back to check in and were very pleased with our rooms.Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds & bathrobes and slippers provided. Loved them! […] There was an iron and ironing board plus a hairdryer. The safe even had a socket to charge your mobile phone!!. Mini bar was a bit expensive so didn't use it but had our own wine so made use of glasses provided and ice bucket!! Rooms were very quiet even although it was a busy weekend and hotel seemed to full. I thought we would've had some corridor noise but never heard a sound. Must've been the comfy bed!! There were four of us staying in two rooms and we all will be back again. Nöjd rakt igenom och faktiskt inget alls att klaga på. Trevlig reception, bra parkeringsmöjligheter, underbart rum (vi bodde i ett Supreme-rum) med häftig design.

Vi hadde ett topp opphold på Avalon med en knallgod frokost! Bra rom, service og beliggenhet, beliggenhet..........!

Supert, stilig hotell sentralt i Gøteborg. Flott utsikt over avenyen og kjempegod frokostbuffet- absolutt å anbefale. Vi har bodd mye på hotell men dette var helt klart et av de bedre oppholdene:_)

Vi hadde et flott opphold på tre netter på Hotell Avalon i påska. Dette var andre gangen vi var her, og ble nok en gang imponert over super service, hyggelig personale og flott beliggenhet i forhold til alt som er verd å se i Gøteborg. Det er mange koselige spisesteder og butikker rett ved hotellet, og kun 10 min gange til den koselige gamlebyen Haga. […] Hotellet har trivelige rom, variert og sunn frokostbuffet, og et hyggelig personale som møter deg med et vennlig smil. Dette er utvilsomt hotellet en skal bo på hvis en ønsker å bo midt i byen, med nærhet til alt. Anbefaler Deluxe rom med panoramautsikt. Utrolig herlig å ligge på rommet å kunne se på livet utenfor. Romantisk.

Personalet gav hjelp langt utover det som kan forventes. Da vi var kommet hjem tok hotellet kontakt vedr en parkeringsbot vi var uheldige å få rett ved hotellet. De tilbød seg å betale den. Det kaller jeg service. Flotte rom og meget bra frokost, lett å få plass. Kommer gjerne igjen.

Meget bra hotell. Gode senger, flott bad. Kunne vært større badekar med plass til to. God frokost bufe.

Stilfullt hotel. Dårlig luft på rommene og varmt om nettene. Om vinduet ble satt opp kom det mye bystøy inn i rommet fra gatelivet utenfor.

Perfekt beliggenhed ved et hyggeligt torv og et dejligt hotel med masser af lækkert design. Kan varmt anbefales.

Det er mye som kan skrives om hotellet, og det meste som folk skriver er korrekt: -Fin standard -Fine rom -Litt "shabby" ganger med vegg til vegg teppe, ikke akuratt hygenisk, litt som i London -Dyr parkering der hotellet parkerer bilen for deg. -Hyggelige ansatte Alt dette med kun overnatting

Allt var toppen och framför allt ligger hotellet perfekt med gångavstånd överallt. Dock var det svårt att sova fram till tretiden på natten då nattklubben nere på gatan stängde.

Har tidigare bot på Gothia och Elit i stan men måste sæga att detta kænndes grymt trevligt och personalen var vældigt personliga. Kommer helt klart tillbaka.

Jag och min dotter sov över en natt och vi var mycket glatt överaskade av det fina hotellrummet och dom sköna sängarna.Mycket smakfullt inrett. Vi kommer definitivt att återvända och även rekommendera hotellet. Det fanns bara ett litet minus och det var att frukost matsalen/baren var lite trång och en del pålägg tog slut innan vi ätit klart.

Bra beläget hotel med trevlig atmosfär. Rummet var välstädat och inget synligt slitage fanns. Efter lite strul med deras datorsystem debiterade de för mycket för garageplatsen men de återbetalde både skillnaden och priset för parkeringen, de sköte det hela utan krångel och jag kommer troligtvis bo på Avalon fler gånger.
