The room and hotel exceeded my expectations. Very comfy bed, big beautiful windows with view of the harbour, beautiful indoor pool and spa as well as outdoor pool (we didn't use) The Looking Glass restaurant had excellent view and food. Not far from anything.

Our stay was relaxing and comfortable. The rooms, and grounds are very well kept. The pool area is beautiful. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Lovely place!

There are two buildings which make up this place. If you book online don't expect to get into the better building. We were given a room on the third floor, as far away from an elevator as possible requiring a long walk down a communal porch exposed to wind and rain to a room which had an overwhelming odor of dirty feet. The alternative to the elevator […] was to to climb seven half-flights of stairs in an open stairwell without protection from rain and wind, not even overhead cover for the last several flights. There was no view whatsoever, the hotel is situated on the top of a steep hill with a walk of about eight blocks to Bar Harbor along a busy highway initially. There are many far better hotels, inns and B&Bs in Bar Harbor. Don't screw up your vacation staying at this place. 더 보기

It is very convenient to attraction, nice location.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for the first time for a romantic anniversary weekend. We paid a little more than we usually would for a room for this reason, but felt that the cost of a nice hotel was worth indulging in for a special occasion. The hotel and its location are beautiful, very sophisticated and impressive. We were warmly received […] and given information by the front desk. The room was quite clean, but seemed a little impersonal. Not a lot of homey touches - but that's alright for a larger hotel. I will say that the bed was large and comfortable, the TV enormous, and the amenities complete. The view from the balcony and windows was breath-taking, but the balconies are the hallway to the rooms, meaning that you have to choose between privacy (curtains shut) and the view of the ocean (curtains open). The hotel is quite close to the downtown, which was great. After dinner in Bar Harbor we came back to the hotel Great Room lounge. That was really the high point - a lovely man was there playing piano, the drinks were well made, and lots of people were there enjoying the music. It was an elegant and classy end to the evening. Wicked Joe coffee is available for free in strategic places around the hotel, which made for a very enjoyable wake-up. Express checkout was very easy. Will definitely consider returning for another weekend stay, and maybe trying the spa services next time! 더 보기

The welcome aboard went well with no surprise monatary additions as some hotels seem to feature upon arrival .Fabulous view of Frenchmans Bay . Far enough to encourage a healthy walk downtown however close enough to leave the vehicle behind in the parking lot where it belongs .

The Bluenose Inn is a very good hotel - clean, quiet & comfortable room, very nice ocean view, close to Acadia park and to Bar Harbor. In the evenings they serve complementary wine, cheese & fruit, which is really nice after a long day out in the open air.

Great Location overlooking Bar Harbor. Massive rooms and good service. The main restaurant is in a separate building with a great view but maybe inconvenient if you don't want to walk up a hill or drive there. Maybe we caught the restaurant on a bad night but the food presentation was more reminiscent of Denny's than a top notch restaurant and was over […] salted and the flavours were dominated by excessive rosemary. Was able to book a room here 2 weeks before our trip. Stayed in the Stenna Nordica building- the room was very clean- 2 queen beds with Tempur-Pedic mattresses, clean bathroom. The common balcony was fine- not too bothersome. Only complaint was hearing the people above us walking around, but overall the stay was great! I was worried about this hotel at first because it was the most expensive place we booked during our honeymoon trip on the East Coast. I quickly got over it once we saw the room and the extra thought had been pt into it. They had a Temperpedic bed in the room and a massage chair which was wonderful. Our room had a great view of the ocean even though […] we weren't in the building that would've been considered to have the best views. The builders did a great job of angling the buildings to give everyone a view. However if our room had been in the "best view" building and faced the parking lot like some of them did I would've been very upset. So, while I said all rooms have a view I should probably amend that to say 75% of them have great views. The hotel was very nice and even sent up champagne for our honeymoon. The location of the hotel is not far from the main drag in the small town. It does require driving and parking if you wish to go shopping or eat out. Parking can be hard during the prime season, but sometimes you can lucky like we did. There were other hotels that would not require driving/parking but I don't know anything about them. 더 보기

While it's a bit of a walk to downtown Bar Harbor for families with a stroller - there is a free shuttle bus at the "sister" hotel next door which drops you off in the middle of town. From there you can also take a free shuttle bus to selected stops in Acadia Nat"l Park. We stayed in room 220 which is the building across the parking lot from the main […] building. The views were spectacular. Pros: Close to all Great views including from the outdoor pool which is perched on hill Comfortable room with massage chair Top of the line padded carpeting in the room Common balcony with two chairs for great viewing Free parking Relaxing well appointed bar / lounge area in hotel lobby area with comp coffee, tea, water and cookies Cons: Slightly expensive for lengthy stays Balcony is also passage to all the rooms - so if you leave your room while everyone is sitting out in the evening you have scoot by everyone. 더 보기

Great facility, Pools were great. Room was immaculate. Perfectly situated betweem the Park entrance and dowtown Bar Harbor. Gym needed more equipment though. The Mizzentope was the prefferred building for its great view. Expensive restaurant , even with the hotel discount voucher. Would definitely go back.

While on a family vacation, we stayed at this hotel and it was great. From the chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon to the amazing view of the bay from our room, this hotel has it all. The staff was very attentive and the rooms were spacious and clean. The indoor and outdoor pools felt great after walking around Bar Harbor.

We enjoyed the indoor pool, coin-op laundry and soft beds. We were only there for one night after a week of camping, but would definitely return!

The Bluenose Inn is one of two buildings on the property. It is motel-style with room doors opening to an outside balcony. Balcony of our room had a nice view of the harbor. Room was small and bathroom was miniscule. It should have been much nicer for the high season price we paid. It is away from the downtown area of Bar Harbor, so if you don't want […] to drive you have to eat at their restaurant or get their room service. Most restaurants in area do NOT deliver. This hotel had everything...except free breakfast. It was gorgeous and the staff was great. On our trip through New England, we stayed with some friends and family. This saved us some money, so we decided to treat ourselves to the Bluenose Inn. It was expensive, but if you can afford it, it's worth it. We were located in the main building on the 2nd […] floor. We had a balcony and could see the ocean. I don't know if the other rooms were as nice, but we lucked out. Our kids (ages 10,8,3) loved it too. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools. It is also close to all the shops down in Bar Harbor. If we didn't have our 3 year old, we could have walked, but it would have been a little far. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! 더 보기

The Bluenose Inn is a charming and very comfortable inn with a great location to downtown Bar Harbor. The entire staff was courteous,friendly ,and welcoming ,eager to make our stay the best possible. Overall, we were very satisfied with this hotel. There are two buildings. The Mizzentop is the larger front building. It is higher priced. The other building was very nice, but there are no individual balconies on this building. There were two chairs outside our room and we enjoyed our morning coffee here many mornings and evenings. The only drawback […] was they did not offer any type of breakfast with the room rate. For the price, this would have made our stay perfect. They do have a restaurant on site, but is is very pricey and not affordable for a family of four. Overall a good hotel and I might stay there again IF I can find a great deal! 더 보기

This hotel is in a great location. Most rooms have an ocean view. However, the rooms are old, small, and the rates are much too high. They should be charging $70 less at least. I would recommend one of the less expensive hotels in the area first.

I was so disappointed with the hotel. We mentioned on check in that we would like to be near the elevator and they gave us the farthest room from it. The pipe under the bathroom sink had been knocked out of place by the cleaning staff and leaked into the room below ours causing maintenance to have to come in and disturb our evening. The clerk was not very friendly to us about the reservation confusion. She acted like it was our fault. The rooms were spacious, but the walls were thin and you could easily here people in the surrounding rooms. The hotel is conveniently located close to downtown Bar Harbor.

Arrived late in the afternoon and tired of driving. Check in was fast, and front staff was very nice. Backtracked down the road, and had a wonderful lobster at Trentons lobster pound. Was a highlight of our trip

Definitely a five star hotel. Accomodations were the best we have had in our travels. We enjoyed the view of the harbor and cruise ships from the balcony. Services in the spa area were excellent. We also enjoyed the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. In future travels we will definitely stay at the blue nose inn.

My husband, son, sister, brother, and niece had never been to Maine. We were very impressed with the beauty of this state. Our rooms were extremely nice and spacious. The hotel is located in an area with a beautiful view. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

Very nice place to stay, we had a good view from our room. You can walk into town (about 15 minute walk) and the drive to Acadia Park is only about 5 minutes. We did not eat at the hotel because there are a lot of good places to eat in Bar Harbor--also Lots of breakfast places. Location was great. close to everything. the indoor pool and jacuzzi were awesome and felt great after a day of walking around Acadia Park . The out door pool was nice too. Our room was big and comfy. The service was very good. We just thought the prices were alittle high, but as we roamed the area we did see that in general, everything is high in the […] Bar Harbor area. So if your prepared, it's a wonderful place to visit. we did find some places that were affordable as far as eating and shopping, but it's such a nice town....you don't mind spending a few extra dollars on things. 더 보기

Hotel was very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Of you do not want to pay preminim dollar for a closer in town hotel, stay here.

There are less expensive motels all around the Bluenose, so if you are traveling on a budget, don't stay here. But if you are looking for a large (I mean HUGE) room with a gorgeous view, fireplace, free wireless, nice lobby, spa, outdoor pool, etc, this is a good bet.

nice hotel great view

Overall we like the hotel very much. Extremely roomy and clean, accomodated 2 adults + 2 kids very well. Indoor pool was great! All staff were very friendly and nice but appeared young (summer jobs?) only an issue when it came to giving us good directions about where to go and what to do in Bar Harbor (didn't appear knowledgable of the area). Although […] our room overlooked Frenchmen's Bay past the trees, beautiful view, the main road was right below us thus not very relaxing if you want to sit on the balcony. Recommend not getting a room on the street side if possible. Otherwise the room was great, quaint elegance. 더 보기
