Suite was not ready at check in time and we waited for 3 hours for the room to be available.

Loved this hotel. Everything is convenient and comfortable here. Beautiful pools, nice staff, comfortable and spacious rooms. This hotel was out of my usual price range but splurged for a trip to San Juan. Expensive, but if you have the money, worth it.

The lobby was swanky, the courtyard and pool matched. The restaurants were pricey but DELICIOUS!!! The service was amazing. The room however was extremely musty, especially the bathroom. When I took a shower, the smell got worse. The courtyard / pool area also played loud lounge music at night so if you are traveling for work instead of play (and you […] are a light sleeper) this may be an issue for you. It was a great place to spend two nights in San Juan. The facility was an inspired design and has been brought to life again with beautiful new interiors. It's a social, amicable and charming open air extravaganza. I really felt like I was in a special place.

We loved La Concha. We made the reservation for a visit post-cruise ship excursion. The staff was helpful. We were upgraded to a suite, which had several great amenities (working kitchen, large bathroom, comfortable bedroom). The pool area is relaxing, although families bring their kids. There's an area reserved for 18 and older, but it's covered in […] shade by early afternoon. The beachfront is great and the hotel is near a few luxury stores. I don't know the Contado well, but it seems like the surrounding area is going through a revival. We noticed lots of construction and development (it did not impact our experience). You're also near several good restaurants and it's a short cab ride to Old San Juan (about 20 minutes to Isla Verde). I would definitely stay there again - and would certainly recommend to any friends look for a fun, hip place to stay while visiting San Juan. 더 보기

My husband and I chose the La Concha based on other Trip Advisor reviews and a recommendation by one of our closest friends. We travel a lot, and really spend our time researching what will be the best place to stay while we shut off our phones and forget about the world. For the most part, La Concha did not disappoint. As pointed out in many other […] reviews, the staff at La Concha is amazing. They are extremely friendly, helpful, and will cater to your needs efficiently and effectively. We had a great experience with all of our waiters, the Concierge, hotel staff, bellhops, and cleaning crew. I even had a great experience communicating with their staff (and getting excited!) on the La Concha Facebook page, which is very rare. I literally cannot say enough about my experience with the staff. The resort itself is also done well, with a beautiful lobby, pool area, well-maintained beach, and great bars and restaurants. We were there for a "romantic" vacation, but I could see how this hotel would also be great for groups. As for people with children, it depends on what you're looking for. We are city people, and we expect our children to adapt to their environment, rather than catering to every Disney princess, chicken finger, and kids pool they want. If you're like us, yes, you can bring your kids here. If you expect Pluto to serve your child a Shirley Temple while they're having a tea party with their friends, you might not want to stay here. :-) Something else worth noting about the La Concha....the locals spend a lot of time here, which we love. We hate vacationing where there is a clear divide between local and tourist. It feels unnatural and stuffy. This is not the case at La Concha. Their bar is popular with the locals and we loved how everyone mixed it up every night in the bar, restaurants, and casinos. After hearing many unfavorable stories of San Juan we decided to take the quick non-stop flight to check it out for ourselves. Our hotel was 10 minutes from the airport, what a delight. We were greeted by a lovely staff who were wonderful with suggestions and ideas for our stay. The place was in a great part of town with shopping and restaurants. We had a great experience at "La Concha". Setting , food, service and accomodation were top of the line. We got a great price per night. I would go there again, yes!

just spent 8 nights at La Concha and it couldn't have been better. Will definitely be going back again. The suite tower is amazing - the rooms are beautiful and enormous.

Truly a beautiful hotel lobby.Our room looked like it came from the Ikea. Helpful staff. Overpriced for my taste. Small beach.

The lobby has a bar at its center with pumping music playing in the evening, an inappropriate use of such a central space. The rooms are pretty nice, modern, but again there is noise late into the eve from the nearby clubs.

The hotel was beautiful and welcoming. I loved the convenience of the beach, pool, and shops. It can be a bit snooty in the lounge area at night, but other than that, you're bound to have a great time. The doorman, Felix was the best and nicest person we ever met!!!

We were a little skeptical of the mixed reviews, and were pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, and was hoping to check in early. With the full occupancy of the hotel, our room would not be available until 4 pm, and it was suggested we do a pre-checkin. This worked out well and gave us the afternoon to check out […] Old San Juan. Francisco gave us some wonderful suggestions and we fell in love with the food and Mojitos at Cafe Puerto Rico located in Old San Juan (best Mojito for $6). The decor and ambiance reminds you of a James Bond movie. The lounge / lobby is one of the best we have seen and we are seasoned travelers. Our ocean view room was comfortable and spacious. Felix the valet person is so friendly and makes you feel right at home. Our anniversary dinner was at Perla and the food is good. The architect of this restaurant is so unique. Entree prices are very reasonable to us foodies. If you were to visit San Juan, La Concha is where you should stay. The amount of effort to maintain this lovely resort is seen throughout. 더 보기

The La Concha was a great choice. It has a nice beach front and several nice pool areas. There are several good restaurants nearby as well as a restaurant and bar on the premesis in addition to a casino. My wife and I asked for early check-in. They agreed it would be no problem but when we got there we did not get the room till after 6pm. Nice hotel but it is not worth the money you pay.

Very beautiful decor, wonderful pools and great service. Easy to get to different locations. Would def recommend and plan another stay for myself.

Had a wonderful stay - desk clerk was helpful and friendly and our suite was perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys a modern feel to their resort.

The hotel was a great place to stay with multiple pools, terrific landscaping and right on the beach. It was very clean and would highly recommend it.

I arrived on a Saturday at 5:00 PM-the room wasn't ready. The manager of guest service told me to go and enjoy a drink at the bar on him-he would cover. When the girl that was the bartender questioned my honesty suggested i was lying and insisted I had to pay for the drink. Ultimately the manager of guest services did make amends by sending a bottle […] of wine to my room once it was ready. But then the next night was Hurricane Irene, The hotle couldn't prevent that. But I was on the 11th floor and the rain came under the balcony door throughout the storm-the carpet the next morning was soaked throughout the room. Beware of mildew if you stay there as every room on the 11th floor had the same problem. I checked out the next morning three days early and received no offer or encouragement to compensate for these problems. 더 보기

Great hotel. Location is ideal and the rooms are fantastic. Probably one of the better kept secrets in San Juan.

The hotel was very nice and great location. I was just disappointed for the amount I paid was pretty expensive. Especially booking on hotels.com. However, if I had a better rate I would have been totally satisfied.

My wife and I stayed at La Concha for 4 nights for a romantic getaway and were very impressed. While not the cheapest hotel, we were happy to have 3 pools, a casino, and the beach at our disposal, as well as excellent service and some good nearby restaurants. One caveat: apparently the hotel will put a $100 hold on your credit card per night without […] telling you as a security measure. (Security purely for the hotel, mind you.) When we discovered this freeze upon returning home and called to investigate, we were told it was standard policy for all hotels, which has not been our experience.
