This "resort" was taken over by a party of 400+ for Passover, so the restaurants, pools, etc were not available to us during our stay. We were put in a condo at the golf course, nowhere near the water, and the noise from the upstairs guests was incredible. You can hear EVERYTHING. Our family of 4 had a w end breakaway at the Ocean Edge Resort. First feeling was very positive when we looked at those 2 nice mansions turned to the Ocean. Second feeling was less positive as we ended up with a room located in another part of the resort, 2 miles away inland. It has been a disappointing experience for us even if the room was nice and […] clean. Also you cannot come in before 4 PM and you have to be out by 11 AM, i am waiting for the time when we will get our room keys at 7 PM and will have to leave the room at 8 AM the next morning. Had my anniversary trip here with my boyfriend. We had a wonderful time and plan to come back in the summer with the family. Theres multiple beaches near by, supermarket is near by. Villas are perfect for a quick get away.

Unless you pay top dollare to stay on the mansion side having to travel 2 MILES to get to our room was a bit of an annoyance!! Not to meantion that some of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty and neighbors were REALLY loud!! Not one picture was a pic our where we stayed!!! Getting an off season rate at Ocean's Edge, on hotlels.com seemed like a great President's Day excursion, but things were not as they seemed. I specifically requested a room with a whirlpool tub, which is what I was told I was getting. Unfortunately all those rooms are being renovated, which, what are ya' gonna' do. What I didn't at all care for is […] the basement level villa we were put in, (especially with not hot tub). The bigger problem with this room was no cell service whatsoever. They were gracious in switching us to another room, which was definitely an improvement. The bar and service were great, but the kicker is the $10 resort fee they tack on to your room rate. I didn't use any resort services, but mostly I find hidden fees very off putting. The rates were off season, but it is a higher end hotel and the rate was still at the limit I wanted to spend. A mostly very nice place to stay. Main problem was there was too much chlorine in the pool and I had trouble seeing for many hours afterwards. Also, the bathtub is too small and the stopper didn't work. Didn't like that they charged you $10 extra to use the pool and facilities calling it a resort charge.. also you have to go outside from the pool to […] get to your room for many rooms and that is painfully cold. But the room was large and very pleasant and nicely furnished. Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds were nice and I could see in nice weather it being a very nice place, especially for a group of people. 더 보기

Everything was fine - off season

I stayed in one of the one bedroom suites and I honestly felt like I had my own apartment. I loved the furniture and balcony. It was so peaceful and really had a lot of charm. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!

Rooms excellent. Stay away from breakfast buffet. Only average with price $21.95. Added $20 resort fee for nothing we wanted.

Although we were only there one night and didn't have the opportunity to utilize any of the facilities it has everything one would want in a resort. The grounds were impeccable, the staff very helpful the rooms very well furnished with high quality furniture and bathroom fixtures... Really no complaints

The room had mold stains on the walls and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I also did not like the hidden fees that the hotel added to my fees which were supposed to be included. I will not be returning.

We were told we would have a one bedroom villa. It was not a villa. It was a half mile down the street from the hotel in a condo complex. There was no parking. Our unit was in the basement and the view that was promised turned out to be a dirt patio and some tall grass. It was dark as a tomb in there even with four lamps. The neighbors overhead like […] to party till the wee hours of the morning. The first night we went to dinner at the Lynx which is one of their restaurants. The food was poor. We should have known because we were the only ones in there. The next morning we went to the hotel for breakfast. It was cold scrambled eggs and lukewarm coffee. We were charged $50 for that. Also, there was a charge of $20 each for use of the shuttle and facilities. This was not told to us. Then, to add insult to injury, the hair dryer in the unit did not work. We left a day early. The mansion at Ocean edge is beautiful (where you check in), as is the ocean terrace restaurant overlooking the water. The golf course is lovely, and I am sure the beach in the summer is great. The Britteridge Villas left a lot to be desired in my opinion. For what we paid in late september, I expected a bit nicer accommodations. The size of the villa […] is great. It has a nice bedroom, a kitchen and living room area. It has an older feel to it and looked a bit outdated. The throw rug under the coffee table was dirty in our villa and the bed was uncomfortable. It wasn't terrible by any means, just not what was expected at this price point in late september on the cape. Also we were with a large group, and were the only ones to receive a villa on the bottom level with a tile floor in every room. We were also the only ones in the group with small children, and it would have been nice to know that my room would have a tile floor when we were assigned it. We would have preferred a room with carpeting like all the other rooms for our baby. I felt the prices this time of year were unreasonable for what we received. We had to pay a charge for the amenities which we never used (not using the beach in september when it is 60 degrees). We were there one night. Other hotels don't charge for use of their pool, fitness room or grounds... I don't like being nickel and dimed when I check into a hotel/resort that is already expensive. We did look at the pool, but it definitely looked older and the water didn't seem very warm, so we decided not to swim. 더 보기

first room had steps and I told them no steps. The second room had the most uncomfortable bed I ever slept on. I thought the comforter might be down & pillows feather. It took over 6 hours to get someone to come in and check it out.

The property is large and I was not aware that I was staying across the road and not in the main complex. Also it took two days to get houskeeping to bring a mat for the very slippery bathtub.

The location is good, close to other areas and things to do at the resort. We were sad that they pools are not heated so no swimming

The hotel was in a great location, convenient to a lot of good seafood restaurants. Brewster, MA is a great town. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and would stay here again. A little overpriced but we went during the labor day weekend so that is expected. We enjoyed the bike trail, which you can access right at the hotel. We stayed here as opposed to Chatham because of The huricaine, I was assured they had generators, unfortunately not on the Village side. They did move me to a Mansion side room after a day in the dark, but the generators were not quite as represented. It was nice that dispite the weather there was an exersize room and indoor pool still available

Overall, my family had a very nice cape cod getaway. We had originally planned to go earlier but due to hurricane, we delayed 3 days. The hotel was accomodating. The staff is very nice and polite. The resort is very spread out so you should know that your villa may be across the street from the mansion (we knew from reading reviews so this was not a […] surprise to us). The room size was perfect for a family with 2 young kids. We are not big golfers, but decided to take advantage of the course and play 9 holes with kids at 4pm. That was really fun. The hotel does not seem at max occupancy the week before labor day- probably because mass kids are back in school- this made it a nice time for a NY family to go. Chatham is beautiful. Orleans had a fun baseball card shop for my son. Definately recommend you check out beaches outside the resort- Lighthouse beach, ridgeville beach, nauset beach. 더 보기

The room and bed especially were comfortable. There were lots of families with children and they overran the hot tub and other areas. Our toilet was clogged and front desk didn't answer. We ended up using the public toilets. I guess it's about getting a comfotable bed Mid-cape...

Several pools, access to a beautiful beach, tennis courts (paying), golf course and well designed apartments in a beautiful scenic area...great place for a family with kids needing to move around. Expensive but with the kitchenettes giving the possibility of cooking instead of dining out for every meal, it was affordable as well as perfect activity-wise […] for our family. 더 보기

Well decorated room that smelled like mold.

This is no complete resort; its "Villages" where most of the rooms are, is miles from the beach. Plus you are told you do not have access to the beach is you stay in the Villages. The pool near our Village was murky with a non-working filter. The "Cafe" in the villages had 2 items for breakfast besides coffee - muffin and danish (ran out of croissant, […] also listed). Talk about minimal dining facilities...Rooms do not have a safe, and hotel does not have "secure" safes either. Beach or pool towels are very flimsy and thinnest possible - again not a 4 star amenity. The rooms do not even offer a plastic laundry bag. List of missing amenities to make it a 4 star accommodation is a mile long. Hotels.com should specify that staying at this hotel means you can not use the beach. They will sell public beach passes, but not allow you to check out a beach towel either. 더 보기

I booked the resort because it had beach access. However upon checking in we were told beach access was for the guests staying on the main (and more expensive side) of the resort. We complained saying this was never stated in the hotel description. We were given passes; reluctantly. Without them we would have had to pay $15.00 a day to use a public […] beach within driving distance. This is a huge complex. You need a map to get around it. We were across the main street at a very nice condo type accommodation. It did not feel like we were at a beach resort at all; no views. We were disappointed. The main restaurant is on an outside terrace that overlooks the ocean. It was magnificent. However it was on the main property where the very expensive bungalows were. You definitely felt like second class where we were staying and a bit like you were trespassing when you went to the other side. We prefer something more intimate and less intimidating. This is a great place in a great location! Cute shops, fantastic bike trail and pools, golf tennis galore. A great spot for families.

The rooms were generously proportioned and clean. There was a dishwasher, washer,dryer, microwave and cooker in the apartment which would be great for families or those staying longer. The amenities were close by (pool, restaurant) and the staff were really helpful.

Pros- beach during low tide, golf course maintenance. Easy drive from Boston. Cons- the prices. After charging exorbitant prices for the room, they still nickel and dime you with resort fee, internet fee, tennis court fee. They charge prevailing rates for golf which is to be expected.

The resort has a lot to offer including clean nice rooms which are hard to find in the cape. The beach is good for young children but is not a great beach for traditional swimming. Overall a nice resort but the price is a bit high.

The resort was beautiful and well maintained. Housekeeping was on point. Entire staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Great location and easy traveling to PTown and Hyannis. Can't wait to go back!

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Very accommodating to special requests.

Resort is impressive when you arrive. Staff are on hand to help you until 5pm then...no one. Room was average with broken shower head and tub that drained slowly. Air conditioners in hallways were leaking water and a cup was placed under it! Beach is quite 'smelly' because it is the bayside and not easy access.
