Good Price good place

My friend and I had a awesome time. Everything was great. The hotel is close to the main part of the riverwalk but still far enough that it isn't too loud. The only thing that I didn't really like was the price of parking. Way too expensive but besides that had a great time.

It was fine except they overcharged me for the parking. I got it handled a few days later. The lady on the phone was nice and refunded my money within the week. I do not like oversights like that. Which is the reason I did not give them a 5 score for every catagory.

It was so busy on our arrival. Fiesta week(end) was starting and the people were coming in by the busloads. I like alot of people, so I didn't mind waiting a bit for check in. I requested a high floor for a better view and they delivered. Oh my, what a view from the 21st floor!!! On the fifth floor is the pool and rooftop deck with lush sitting area. […] It has a spectacular view of downtown. We ordered our room service to be served on the roof to enjoy some wine and relaxation. This hotel is A+++. I will definitely stay there again. The 4 star for comfort was only because I prefer a firmer bed. This was just too soft. 더 보기

Great service from this Hotel. I wish I could recall the name of the young lady who check me in, so I could tell the Hotel that the have a great employee on there hands.

Everything was fabulous. I just wish room service was 24 hours.

Excellent. Hotel staff and service was wonderful. The food was also great. My only comment would be that we felt the concierge desk was not very knowlegable. We felt that they really didn't know much of anything. You might want to pass that along to them. Otherwise we had a great trip!

Perfect price, perfect location

I stayed in this hotel because it was only a block from a convention I was attending. The weekend was the end of the two week Fiesta in San Antonio. It is close to Fiesta events happening during the week. The room, a King Deluxe, was a bit smaller than I am used to, though the hotel indicated it was one of their "better rooms". Because of the weekend, […] with a lot of things going on till early in the morning, traffic noise was evident. I was told it is only a problem during the Fiesta. Also, you can expect to pay more for hotels in this area, and everything else! Breakfast is $20.00 for the buffet. It is an excellent breakfast, but for $20.00? Fortunately, the room, through Hotels.com, included 2 breakfasts (a three night stay). The hotel staff is outstanding, and exactly what you expect from a Hyatt. 더 보기

I accidentally booked the wrong date but because of the price we thought, what the heck let's stay another night. The location was perfect during our FIESTA stay as it was close to all events. The staff was very polite and quick to our requests. The view was so awesome we didn't care about the privacy, we fell asleep looking at the bright lights of […] the city! Good service, excellent restaurants and very attentive staff. The hotel is next to the Riverwalk and just a couple of blocks away from the Alamo. I will return to this hotel anytime.

The staff was super friendly. It's not on the main, main loop of the riverwalk but it's close. No free Internet. I got a good deal. I'd stay here again

IT WAS GREAT , THE ONLY THING I FIND WRONG IS THE CHARGE FOR THE PARKING IT 33.00 PER 24 HOURS AND U DONT HAVE A CHOICE BUT TO PAY IT .. AND THAT IS NOT TO GOOD ..BUT THE HOTEL IS FINE

We loved the Grand Hyatt. It is beautiful, clean, and the staff is above and beyond. The only downfall is it a little walk to the main riverwalk area. Loved the hotel!

This is a non-smoking hotel. The first room we got was smoke filled and smelled terrible. The hotel had a machine on the credenza to help remove the smell. We were immediately give another room. The first room was the fault of the guest. The hotel should have had the room blocked off as unusable till the smoke odor was eliminated. Very convenient to River Center Mall, Riverwalk, and Alamodome. Nice rooms. Consider nearby Hemisfair (sp.) tower with revolving restaurant; fun for kids but not cheap. Park in lot across street for better deal on parking. Don't miss Guether House restaurant at Pioneer flour mill; need car/taxi. The breakfast at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio is a hidden gem. don't miss it. Also the location on the Riverwalk cannot be beat.

My children decided to take a trip this year for Christmas.. They chose San Antonio as the place to go. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was very nice. I only wish they had another elevator. We were down the hall, around the corner, and further down a hall. Every time we wanted to leave or come back, it felt like a hike. The hotel was just okay. The hallways to our room were far too long. It was like getting through a maze just to get to our room. The decor in our room was okay. Was just expecting a lot more for The Hyatt.

We had a great rate on this hotel and it was everything we could want in terms of location, cleanliness and comfort, however, when a family member broke her ankle on the sidewalk outside, the staff was far more concerned with whether she would hold them liable than they were with her comfort. I would recommend this hotel at half of the price the rooms are being rented at. Location is downtown but very difficult to get to. The ammentities don't make up for the high cost of the rooms.

We had a wonderful experience in downtown San Antonio. This hotel was affordable, conveniently-located and offered wonderful amenities. The on-site secure parking is a definite plus as some hotels offer only street parking in this busy area. It's not cheap, but totally worth it to have somewhere safe to park your car. This hotel is very nice. It's right off of the Riverwalk and next to a mall and many restaurants. The service was great, the room was very clean and well supplied with toiletries, and the location couldn't be beat. Our only complaint was the parking, which was expensive, but seemed comparable to other hotels in the area. The hotel was next to the convention […] center and close to the Alamodome, and they allow the public to park in their garage. We were there for 7 nights and had trouble finding parking in the self-park on 2 of the nights after coming back from sight-seeing. The hotel happily valeted the car and promised that we would be charged the self-park rate instead of the valet rate. When we got our bill upon check-out, they had not only charged us for the valet parking rate, but had charged us an additional self-park rate on top of it! Once we brought this to their attention, they did fix it, but it seems ridiculous that no one noticed this when printing up the bill. My husband and I stayed here the week after Christmas and loved the easy access to the beautiful river walk with all the wonderful Christmas lights decor. The hotel was in the center of all the action. We walked everywhere and had beautiful views of the town from our room and the roof top pool.

Good hotel to stay

Thr grand Hyatt in San Antonio was a great location to access the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and the shopping mall. We did have one problem - when we went up to our room there was someone else outside our door who was given the same room. Had to go back down to front desk to get a different room. Had an awesome stay for New Years Eve weekend. Great location. Very clean. Great rate.

Pros: comfortable beds, great showers, nice restaurant, very close to downtown mall and restaurants Cons: Expensive room service, very pricey valet service that takes too long to retrieve your car, hallways are very long, expect a long walk to your room Tips: Order off the kids menu for room service. Great location and service. Hotel is right on River Walk and near everything. Our room faced the Tower of the Americas. Great fireworks display. Only disappointment was the restaurant. Food was average and service marginal.
