홀리데이 인 익스프레스 앤드 스위트 앨투나 (Holiday Inn Express & Suites Altoona) - 앨투나

We had traveled to attend a concert in DesMoines and needed a room somewhat nearby. The hotel was a little distance from the Wells Fargo Arena, but very close to nice restaurants and a casino. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable too. We would stay at this hotel again if we were in the area.

the motel was new and very well kept. staff was helpful and pleasant. would stay again

The pool was very small and dirty. The hot tub was not hot. Our hotel room had a lot of spider webs around the window, cracker crumbs in the bed and wrappers on the floor. When we brought this to the attention of the hotel staff. We were told that they did not have enough staff to help clean up our room:(

We had made requests ahead time - 3rd floor room and roll away bed plus early check-in. They were well organized and had everything ready early.

Check in was very quick. Room was as expected and very clean. Bathroom was very roomy as well as the dining area for breakfast. Only complaints were the toilet kept running unless you remembered to jiggle the handle and the room heater/air conditioner was very loud.

Nice enough hotel, friendly and fast check-in and out. Easy route to get to the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Good breakfast assortment each morning.

in our cross-country move, we were looking for a convenient, clean, safe hotel. we arrived late after a long day of driving. staff was courteous, room was clean and ready. it faced toward the street so we could even keep an eye on our large moving truck and car carrier. only complaint was that the walls were pretty thin and there must have been a lot […] of kids in the hotel, because we could hear them banging around for a few hours. 더 보기

I took my 2 adult children and their families to Adventureland, and we stayed at The Holiday Inn Express. It was a very convenient drive to the park. The motel appeared to be almost new, and we all had a comfortable rest after a long day at Adventureland. The room that I was given did not match the online description, and the staff was not willing to correct. Also, the heated pool was anything but heated. It was so cold that my 5 year old and I were freezing in it. Our visit was in July, so not a cold month. We actually left a day early because it rained, and we had planned outdoor events. Last year I stayed at another hotel in Altoona, closer to the amusement park. The Holiday Inn Express was a little farther away, but the hotel is (or seems) brand new. The rooms were large and clean. The continental breakfast was more robust than I have had at any hotel I have stayed at (e.g. eggs, sausage, rolls, cereal). The kids were a little disappointed […] with the size of the pool, but they still had a great time. The price was over 50 dollars cheaper then the hotel closer to the amusement park.
