Stayed one evening and had no major issues. The room was a little hot a humid when we first got in but the A/C functioned fine and cooled the room down quickly and comfortably. WiFi connection gave us no issues. My only issues were that the front desk couldn't find their cork screw, and the breakfast was mediocre. No major complaints though. Port Aransas is a lovely beach town. Quirky restaurants; great beach. This hotel is nice, clean and very close to the beach and several nice places to eat.

We have stayed at this hotel once before & our experience was great which is why we chose to stay again during our New Year's Eve family trip to the ocean with our children. All was well until we pulled out the sleeper sofa. In the bed & much to our disgusted surprise were a baby shoe & 3 condoms. Upon checking the room further for any other items we […] discovered that the cleaning crew had not only overlooked these items but items behind the bed & under the bed skirt. It made us feel like our room was "gross". My son refused to sleep on the bed, opting to sleep on the couch. I spoke to the on duty attendant, handing him the items which we found & he assured me that he would tell the manager & have her contact me upon her return the next afternoon & to this day in February, we have heard from no one. I arrived late and was pleased with the friendlyness of the staff who met me. My room ... well let me just say the there were dirty towels in the bathroom, someones jeans in the closet, and the sheets smelled of a strong colon or perfume. I spoke to the manager and my room was cleaned ASAP. There was a fire drill during my stay and the stairwell was […] full of painting equiptment, and the staff made no move to exit the building. In fact they were dumbfounded when I asked if they were leaving the building during the drill. It is a good thing it really was not a fire. The hotels location was amazingly close to the beach. If sea and sand isn't your thing - the outdoor pool and hot tub are the perfect substitute. The room was ok for the price. The cheap shower fixtures kept me in a limbo of lukewarm and scalding hot water. Perhaps it was because the second floor was under construction. I decided to stay an extra night, […] so I reserved a suite but was dissapointed that it smelled of cigarette smoke. Other than the sub par facilities, the hotel was a great place to stay. This hotel is awesome!! Great location. 2 blocks from the beach. Nice size pool (cold) but awesome jacuzzi!! We stayed in a suite which was clean with nice comfy beds, clean sheets, and soft pillows. Nice size TV's in each room but need more channels though. Staff were nice and helpful. Hot breakfast is OK, but the 24/7 unlimited coffee and hot tea […] was excellent!! Safe parking!! Breakfast needs work, Eggs need to be scrambled, Pancake machine should be replaced with waffle machine, pancakes to rubbery. Everything else good.

Called ahead to ensure they had wireless service... it was out and the ethernet connection did not work either. The room was not clean, old and rusty bathroom. Bad experience, glad i was only there for one night.

Hotel was ok so far, however, the staff not really friendly, the room not very clean and the gym far away from usable. I wouldn't recommend the hotel, since I didn't felt very comfortable in it. The spirit was not good.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was extremly friendly and generious. I ened the fact that we were only 5 minutes from the beach and a restaurant called, "Moby Dicks". If ever you are in this area please stay at this hotel. Clean rooms, super staff etc.

overall, this was agood hotel Great breakfast buffet!! Just did not like that our tub was not draining while we showered. Other than that grat hotel!!

The hotel is very conveniently located near the beach and the town of Port Aransas. Reservations were handled quickly and the staff was professional and courteous. The warm continental breafast was excellent. Nice pool, too!

Stayed in a suite. Very roomy and highly recommended. Very close to beach, restaurants & souvenir shops with nice sidewalks. Facility even has outside water hose to spray off beach gear & vehicle if needed. Staff very friendly & helpful. Will definitely book this place again when go to Port A.

You might reasonable think that a 2 room, 2 bed suite would be configured with a bed in two separate rooms. This assumption would prove incorrect. They call it a 2 room suite simply because they decided to add a door between the bedroom and living area. At that rate, why not include the bathroom and call it a "3 Room Suite"?. Fortunately, the couch […] folded out into a bed, so we could move the mattress from the second bed onto the couch to achieve a somewhat more sensible layout. Other than that, the place is clean. We were disappointed in this hotel. One elevator; by the last day we were taking the stairs because it was faster than that rickety thing. The suite was completely wasted room space. The pool looks 3x bigger on website. Bed not comfortable and the staff was unenthuised about their jobs.

We booked a two room suite, I anticipated having two closed rooms and a living area. The room was smaller than anticipated for the price but it was extremely comfortable and clean in comparison to other hotels I have stayed at by the beach. The pool was nice and clean, again, smaller than the pictures and I did use the gym which again was smaller than […] I anticipated with only 2-3 treadmills. The breakfast was very very good, well stocked and friendly staff each morning.... GREAT coffee. The hotel was convieniently located close to the beach and OVERALL was very comfortable and clean which is a priority for me above all other amenities. The Holiday Inn Express was a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable in size. The Location was the best. Breakfast, which was included, was decent and with variety. Staff was very friendly and cordial, mainly Ashley at the front desk. The maintenance personnel was very helpful and diligent, as well as the staff serving the breakfast. My […] only downsize was: The walls were very thin so you can hear almost everything. We were close to the pool and we had to heard the music all day. The AC was not really working well. The only major issue that we had was that our water was COLD. After being at the beach, we couldn't take a hot shower. The beds were also uncomfortable. I paid more for this place when I've paid less for better quality at other places. If they would do something about the water and better beds, it would be perfect. We stayed 2 nights and everything was wonderful. Clean rooms, wonderful breakfast and happy people working there. We had gone to Port Aransas to see the whooping cranes...the whole area is neat and clean--I was surprised as I have been at many fishing areas that were worn and not kept up. I stayed one night on business. The lobby was nicely done with a large aquarium. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful - made numerous suggestions for evening activities. My wife and I looked all over for a reasonably procedures motel.we come to port A at least 4 times a year. The pink hotel is expensive for lack of amenities.the travelodge by the gas station has doubled in price since last year. Everywhere else was too expensive. This is a good hotel,very clean. Pool was nice, services were good, the front desk helped […] us find a great place to eat. Be sure to go to port aransas brewery very good pizza and burgers plus beer. We qualified for priority club, did not have to check out until 2pm. The free breakfast is awesome. Real biscuits and hot sausage, cereal juice fresh fruit and little omelettes. Totally better than muffins and cold cereal at other hotels. I have given up looking for hotels on the water,there too expensive. Had a great time. Hotel staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good. Only complaint was the noise of the room air conditioner. Woke us up everytime it kicked in. Recommend getting the beach parking pass. Even though it was only a block and a half to the beach, it was a long ways if hauling stuff.

We were very pleased from beginning to end. The rooms were very clean. The service was exceptional from everyone. The front desk was totally accomodating to our needs; a family of 4 w/ an extremely energetic 6 year old and a very vocal 8 month old. Every employee we met was happy and smiling. They also went out of their way to make sure we were: A maintenance […] man held the doors open so our family could walk through w/ our luggage; the lady that stocks the morning breakfast bar engaged not only my wife and I, but our children in pleasant conversation and wished us a safe trip home; the front desk person gave us her personal recommondations for restaurants popular w/ the locals. The Hotel is very kid friendly. The fromt desk staff was very accomadating, helpful and friendly. Both day, evening and night staff.

I tried to call my husband in our room at the hotel but three of the six times I called the switchboard did not answer. Eventually, the phone simply stopped ringing. One of the three times I got through to the hotel's operator and asked for my room number, I was disconnected before the room was ever called. Second, when we first arrived I looked for […] tourist information, or even a local phone book, in the room so that we could make a dinner reservation. There was nothing, at all, in the room with information about the local restaurants or places to see. When I called the front desk, the woman who answered said the rooms didn't have phone books. I asked her how people made dinner reservations if they couldn't find the restaurant's number. She said, "They usually call me, and I look it for them." I asked her to look up the number for a restaurant we had heard about, and she couldn't find it in the phone book she had at the front desk. Then my husband went downstairs and talked to a second woman, who said it was simply a mistake that there was no phone book in our room, and she gave him one. Several other things happened, and we left a day early, forfeiting the money we had pre-paid for the room. When we checked out, the woman (of telephone book fame) just looked dully at us, without a spark of interest in why we were leaving early. We felt it would be useless to complain to her. 더 보기
