We live in Indiana and travel to Virginia often to visit family. We've had a lot of bad hotel experiences, so it was so nice to have such a good one. In fact, it was such a positive experience on the way to Virginia, that we decided to stay here again on the way home to Indiana. We picked this hotel because of it's location along 64. Our major needs: clean, quiet, and a nice indoor pool. This fit all three of our needs. The room was really nice, with two queens, a full size sofa, a desk, and a flat screen tv. The pool was perfect. It was even plenty warm enough (we've run into lots of problems with indoor pools being too cold […] for the kids to swim in) and the hot tub was perfect for the adults. There is a very modest continental breakfast (milk, oj, coffee, pre-packaged pastries, travel boxes of cereal). Or you can pay for the breakfast buffet. Bonus: if you eat the buffet in the dining room, kids eat free! (with paying adults). We enjoyed the stay so much that we decided to stay there again on the trip back the following weekend. My only negative comment: the complimentary wireless internet wasn't great. I kept getting kicked off in my room (and never got more than 2 bars). And it wasn't much better in the business center or lobby. They do have complimentary computers in the business center though, so I ended up just checking my email there. 더 보기

This is a brand new hotel and everything should have been easy. I understand there were water problems, but not having hot water for two days with two small children was absolutely ridiculous. The worse part was that they didn't discount our bill or even keep us updated. The only thing we got was an unsigned typed letter under our door on day thee to […] say the water was out AGAIN. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the Barboursville/Huntington area. It's beautuful, the food is good and the room are so comfy!! Nice staff too.

Only problems were a weak continental breakfast and we were originally placed in a smoking room. However the room mistake was quickly remedied

Comfortable bed, very nice room. We had a better stay here than at the Hutton in Nashville, which is a Conde Nast pick. Staff was very helpful and attentive. One of the cleanest hotels in the area. I don't agree with others who complained about the free breakfast -- it states continental breakfast so I don't know what they were expecting. Hotel was very nice, clean, and in a good location. Only negative part was you could hear banging of doors near our room.

My husband and I met our daughter and her family in WVa as this was half-way for all of us to meet. We chose Holiday Inn because it is typcially a safe and clean place by reputation to stay and the price is typically decent. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. The building was clean and guest friendly. The rooms were comfortable, but was noisey at night with children running up and down the halls until late in the evening. The only somewhat disappointing thing about this hotel was the "included" continental breakfast. It was coffee, danish, muffins and some fruit. It was situated in the restaurant where they served a full buffet breakfast for $8.95 which is obviously what they wanted you to eat. Clean, quiet, comfortable with great access to the highway. 2nd only to the Holiday in Huntington in WV.

This hotel was very beautiful and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Everything seemed clean.

This hotel was much nicer than I expected. Is notas close to downtown huntinton as some of the others, but the malll location is super convienient and tons of food and shopping options nearby. About the worst I can say is the front desk clerk was not super bubbly and was a little distant.

the rooms are well appointed,great service, very pleased

I chose this hotel due to the clean rooms with plenty of room for work (desk) and relaxing (leather couch, large TV), and the indoor pool and exercise room. I love to come into town, work out, take a swim and then relax in the room. I always order room service for breakfast and tried the door-tag to pre-order breakfast which did not work. I had to call […] down to the restaurant at 6:30am to make order breakfast. My order came up within 10 min and the food was great. I will stay there again. 더 보기

we were very satisfied with our stay the only thing I found not good was the hot tub was out of service and the water in the pool was oily dont no why but did like our stay there

This hotel was sufficient for the overnight stay we wanted on our way to our final destination. However, there was a bit of a smell in the bathroom and the "complimentary" part of breakfast was not much and we ended up getting the 8.95 buffet breakfast which I'm sure is their plan all along. from check-in to check-out, we were treated like family...great indoor pool, nice lobby and fish tank...great ac and everything was new and fresh...

I prefer it to any other hotel/motel in the area, this visit was only marred by a clueless maid. Breakfast buffet is is worth the extra cost.

Nice hotel, but it when I plugged the address in to my Garmin it registered "address not found." It was still very easy to find. I just got off at the Barboursville exit and turned south. It was right on the corner of the main strip.

our room had a beautiful view of the hills. close to shopping and restaraunts. when we visit again we will defeintly stay here again.

Seemed very old and too hard, I checked out early due to it.

We found this hotel to be an outstanding value; the rooms were spacious and clean and the pool was large and clean as well. We felt like 10 pm was a little early for the pool to close, especially on a weekend. Otherwise, everything was great!
