The room was large, bathroom with tub and shower, very clean. The weather was cold... the heater worked great. The bed was comfortable. The towels could have been thicker and more soft... Hotel is in a good location, you won't be cold here, the previous occupant had turned the thermostat up to full and it was 90F when we arrived. This place is a bit tired but still perfectly acceptable and was fully booked to prove this point.

2 blocks from heavenly village w everything you can possibly want ( food, supermarket, cinema, gondola, etc... ). Hotel rooms are old but they are clean. Kitchen has everything but no fridge?!? Overall great place if you are ok w basics.

The outside of the hotel is run down, but the inside of our honeymoon sweet was very cozy. Loved the fireplace in front of the bed. Very romantic. It felt more like being home then in a hotel. It's very old, but that is what we looking for at the time. Loved that it is right down the street from all of the Casinos. That was perfect, and it's sooo quiet. […] Will definitly stay again. the front desk staff is not friendly. The room does not look very clean, specially the bathroom (bring your own towels!!), but overall it's a decent place to crash and it's locattion is great.

It's ok if youre on a budget or want to save some money

We make an annual trip to South Lake Tahoe/Stateline. This location is perfect. Everything is withing walking distance, casinos, heavenly resort, grocery shopping, places to eat, steakhouse, etc. The hotel isn't in its best shape, but the honeymoon suite is definitely the best room. The staff is nice, courteous and even shoveled the snow out of the […] driveway on our way out. It is a good hotel, but you are denitely paying for good price and location. If you want luxury, stay somewhere else. Otherwise, it is a good hotel for partying, skiing, and having a good time with you family and friends. 더 보기

My third time staying and I tried to cancel but couldnot reach anyone of authority by the 72 hr cut off .... Weird

This was my second time at this hotel and sadly my last. No hot water, questionable heat, unhelpful hotel staff. The price was not worth it. I asked for an early checkout because of noisy neighbors and no hot water, they refused. I endedd up staying somewhere else my last night so I paid for 2 hotel rooms at different hotels. not sure about all rooms but at 124 heater makes a clicking noise every few seconds and it reminds you chinese water torture when water drips on the same spot of your head and you cant move away till become insane. everything else was pretty clean and decent for thr price we paid

No refrigerator in room. Location was great, 100 feet from Nevada. Fine for the price.

Room was very clean and close to the main activities that we were interested in doing and at a very reasonable price. However, the bed was hard and the noise from the water system in the walls, as well as the constant "clunking" sound all night long was not conducive to a good nights sleep. The Ambassador is our go-to when we're headed to South Lake for a night of partying. It's inexpensive and CLOSE to the casinos--a 3 minute walk, in fact! We're in the room to get ready and then we sleep there for a few hours before taking off. It's not about the hotel, but a safe place to lay our heads after a night out!

We had to find a place very last minute. The guy was super nice when we checked in. The heat wasn't working in the first room so he immediately moved us. Yes, the place is NOT new. Much past that. The hotel is 2 blocks from the lake, 2 blocks from the Gondola and 2 blocks from the casinos, so there is not noise outside and you can go walking to all the important places. Our door was broken and they changed us to other room, nice staff.

In short this place is in the perfect location, at super cheap price. The check-in check -out is simple. We arrived around 1am, the key was waiting for us. The room is clean, they tide up every day properly. excellent location...less than 2 blocks to harrah's back entrance. starbucks located just inside. street fairly quiet. we had place practically to ourselves. between summer & ski season. plenty of parking. microwave & frig in room. excellent.

Look, it's a little outdated but you just cant beat the location and the price. The staff members were very friendly and assisted us with directions. The hotel provides a pass to the private beach located just 3 blocks away which we enjoyed visiting. The pool however at the hotel was ICKY so dont plan on going there thinking you are going to swim. The complaint that I had is the bathroom was not clean at all, there was pubic hair on the floor and in the shower and since it was at maximum capacity there wasn't any other room to move us to. And being downstairs the family above us had 3 children that were jumping all over the place starting at 6 am. I recently stayed at the hotel and it is very old and somewhat clean. There is NO air conditioning in the rooms. People sit outside on the balconies so if you turn in early this can be a little noisy.

Had a good stay at the Ambassador Motel, the hotel was dated, but considering the location and price, a great bargain. Just a couple of notes: they advertise WiFi but connection only lasted a few moments before stopping. I highly recommend an upgrade to their router, do not expect to surf the internet much. This motel is in walking distance to the casinos. Very nice warm pool and also a kid's pool. Nice big rooms but no air conditioning only heating for the winter.

Friendly staff, convenient to lake and Heavenly, rooms were old and a bit dirty, seems like I was back in the 70's. Rooms need to be updated, especially the bathroom and carpet in living area. Overall it was OK.

This motel is very old. Rooms have got no A/C. Extremely Ugly old and worn furniture. Awful color (dark green) in ther bathroom. The pool is nice but really hot (90F...). It is located next to the Havrvey's concert stage, so it can be very noisy in the evening. Receptionist are really friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly clean.
