Lake Roy Beach Inn - 윈터 헤이븐

It is a cheap Hotel, my son got allergies the moment we walked in, everything seems clean, but it needs maintenance, I think they haven't done anything to it since they open centuries ago.....

Location was great. Staff was friendly. The grounds and adjoining lake were nice. The room was less than great. Had a funky smell, it was super small, beds were uncomfortable, Tv was practically useless. It's fine if you just need a place to sleep before Legoland. This motel has the potential to be quaint with a little elbow grease and a woman's touch. It's a shame to see it so run down. I read the reviews and did not have high expectations but we stayed there because of the lake location. The pool was well kept and we enjoyed morning coffee overlooking the lake. But the nights would have been far more comfortable […] if the room had a ceiling fan. There were cool breezes out there but we had no way to draw them into the room. The breakfast was a disappointment--cheap white bread products and prepackaged junk. We went to a restaurant. The potential for this place is great because it's so close to Legoland. If you have kids, there is a volleyball court and more space to run around than the typical hotel that is surrounded by parking lots. But we won't stay here again. I would definitely recommend Lake Roy. We had a suite...wasn't real fancy, but room service cleaned everyday and provided clean towels. We enjoyed our stay there while we were attending college baseball games. The fields were close. We had a picnic for some team members and families and they got to enjoy the pool with us. Excellent location for Lego Land. Room was clean and well laid out. Good bass fishing on lake. TV was small-picture not great.

We stayed 3 nights here during a trip to Legoland with our two children, ages 6 and 8. We stayed in one of the rooms with 2 double beds facing the water. It was absolutely nothing fancy but suited our needs perfectly. The pool and outdoor green space make it a great place to stay with children who are a little bit older (i.e., a toddler would need to […] be watched constantly so as to not fall in the water or run through the breezeway into the parking lot). Less than 5 minutes to Legoland, restaurants, and grocery stores. The managers are very nice and accomodating and if you leave the fan on at night you can't hear anything -- other guests or traffic. Wouldn't waste another booking. Better cheaper hotels -abound in the area.

The owners could not be nicer but the place needs to be cleaned up and repaired. It is a lovely setting and has a lot of potential.

Dated and not as clean as one would want. Cleaning service was also very slow. Bathroom dated and not well kept.

The Lake Roy Beach Inn is conveniently located right on ST 540 or Garden Cyprus Blvd. The GPS could not find it but once you spot it , it is easy to find. The room overlooking the lake had a lovely view. The outside steps to the top floor were a little difficult. Nice stay.

Is an older facility with tremendous potential. Had room with beautiful view of the lake and appears to have a very nice pool and has very nice grounds with picnic and play areas. We did not use as weather was cool. Our room was dated but clean and the beds were comfortable with nice sheets. The owners?/staff were extremely helpful and courteous.

I booked this room for the proximity to Legoland, and for the rate, which was very good. I looked at the property on the website and read the mixed reviews, but I have a hard time paying a lot of money for a room that we will use for less than 12 hours, as was the case for this trip. There is no photo of the front of the property on the website, and […] now that I've visited I see why. Not pretty. The back may very well be pretty and the lake wonderful, but the front looks like the roadside motel that it is. We arrived just before 10 pm and left before 8 the next morning, so we didn't explore the property's surroundings. The property itself is piecemeal, with what appears to be newer and older sections. We stayed in the newer section, which is reached by an outdoor metal staircase which doesn't feel very sturdy. The tile on the top floor breezeway appears to be indoor tile and was slippery when wet. The handrail from the first to the second floor was not securely attached to the building. I had called ahead to warn of a possible late check-in, and they were very nice, telling us to ring the bell as they had 24 hour service. We wound up arriving before the office closed, and again found them very nice. It seems to be family-owned, and there was incense burning and many oriental knicknacks and products offered for sale. The room itself, in the newer section, was not the latest fashion, but it appeared clean and in reasonable repair. The AC worked well. One issue we had was the window coverings. The only covering was wood blinds in good shape, but they still made us unable to completely prevent any light from coming into the room (and made it possible for really committed peepers to perhaps catch a glimpse through slivers on the sides, though we doubt anyone tried!). They would do well to also provide blackout curtains to solve the problem. The room came with a larger-than-usual in-room refrigerator, which was nice to have. The shower water was hot and plentiful. Not a bad place for a few days of get away and fishing. It's an old place but the rooms are clean. You can fish right off the docks but there are plenty of lakes around if you have a boat. Friendly and family owned.

Very old motel, attemps at up grading not great. Old lockers and junk need to be cleared from property. Sign on office states no pets allowed. Manager has a dog. Over all I would not recommend this place to stay to anyone. Over Priced old motel.

It wasn't clean, wasn't a very safe place to stay, very noisy in the front, lousy parking, overall, it was a dump. The location on the lake was good though. I really enjoyed the view of the lake and the pool was very clean. But the price was very high for the quality of the actual hotel.

We had a lake view and were able to enjoy fishing right off the dock! Little lizards everywhere, ducks, turtles, apparentl gators but we didn't see any. If you enjoy baseball or boating this is the place to be! Staff was wonderful, pool clean and warm walk to IHOP restaurant, along the lake, or over the bridge to shopping.
