The Dergvale has it all; old world charm, great location, attention to detail, helpful and friendly staff with spotless rooms and a hearty breakfast. If you want slick and new, this is not the place for you. I can best describe it as a small jewelry box, compact and full of small treasures.This is a place that has maintained its Irish charm with dignity, […] but doesn't try to be the marriott. The rooms are spotless and appointed for visitors. The bathrooms are updated and pristeen, with details such as a real glass for water, plenty of toiletries and towels, and a design that allows for storage. The bed offered cool, white sheets and the heavy comforters of my Irish memories. I slept for 9 uninterupted hours when I arrived. I come to Ireland once a year and I will never stay anywhere else. Travel TIP: The Dergvale may be hard to find for the first time visitor. Take the bus from the airport and get off at O'Connell Str. Walk back up the hill to St Georges Church, turn right and the Dergvale will be a few blocks on your left. Very short walk. 더 보기

No parking, noisy room due to bad plumbing and thin walls, lukewarm shower, breakfast unspectacular.

Really value for money

Cleanest room I ever experiensed in Ireland and England. Excellent family-driven hotel. Definitely coming back!

Have stayed there previously and it was just what I needed. So stayed again and it is still a nice place to stay.

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful as i was not quite sure of my way to the O2. Hotel was quiet no noisy music. I was also given an upgrade on the room I booked. A great breakfast next morning. I would stay there again.

Handy location for hospital, walls are a bit thin Breakfast was v/good Pint of Guinness was the best pint i have got in years.

Excellent service. Charming people who will go out of thei way To help. Very quiet but could change according to neigghbors. Overall highly recommended.

I was looking for a stopover hotel on my way in and out of Ireland and the Dergvale ticked all the boxes. OK, the immediate area around the hotel has seen better days, like most inner cities, but it's a 5 minute walk from the bus stop for the Airport and 10-15 minutes from the main Bus Station and probably the same to the GPO in O'Connell Street - […] I walked everywhere! This hotel doesn't claim to be the Ritz and may be a little dated, but both my rooms were clean and comfortable and I had no trouble sleeping at all. The dining area was clean; there is a lounge area near the reception desk with TV and a bar that serves Guinness at a very reasonable price! The breakfast was good - freshly cooked and plenty to start the day. Finally, the staff were attentive, pleasant and friendly - even keeping my bag after check-out to leave me free to do a little more exploring of Dublin. Great location, but very loud and very hard to sleep. can hear everything outside, and I was on the 3rd floor! The bed was also hard. I suppose youget what you pay for, and had I had a few drinks I would have slept cound

This hotel is very comfortable, the breakfast was very good. The folks that run the hotel are friendly and obliging. The location is excellent.

Good value hotel. This is a well worn budget guest house so don't expect more but we loved our stay. The staff was very friendly, the room clean and the beds very comfortable. Ours was on the street side so it was a little noisey but that is expected. Only two rooms are on the street and the rest are in a back hall. Beakfast was hot and made to order. […] Tea and biscuits was available by request at anytime for no extra charge. Just two blocks from the main turist street (O'Connell) and about six blocks from the airport shttle pick up/drop off). The only draw back was the lack of WI-FI. There is a cable connection in the lobby so if you need quick access to the internet this may not be for you. The other guest using the internet were good about sharing and the desk staff would also call our room when it was free if asked. Not a big deal for us. 더 보기

This hotel gave us what we needed for a couple of days in Dublin. 15 min walk to city-centre. Very good breakfast, clean room, good room service, very helpful staff. I am sure We will stay there on our next visit to Dublin

ideal location for weekend trip to Dublin straight in the center close to all mayor attractions good basic and clean place for short stays

preiswerte und zentrale Pension, bei Hofseite ruhige Zimmer ohne Verkehrslärm, gutes irisches Früstück, Einzelzimmer etwas klein aber mit Du/Wc,

Not far from anything in the City of Dublin. Friendly peopel and a good price. When i go back to Dublin i will stay here!!

Hotel très accueillant, propre et confortable. Très proche du centre-ville, tout déplacement peut se faire à pieds! Du coup, passages des piétons et des véhicules créent quelques nuisances sonores nocturnes...

Oud en gedateerd familiehotelletje, maar voor bedrag mag je niet klagen. Hebben heerlijk ontbijt gehad en de familie die het hotel beheert is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Konden s ochtends vroeg al bagage afgeven en zijn gelijk de stad gaan verkennen. Ligging van hotel was dichtbij bus, maar ook heel goed aan te lopen naar centrum.

Dublin är inte så stort, så 10 minuters gångväg från de centrala shoppingstråken kanske räknas som "utanför centrum", men det känns fortfarande centralt. Hotellpersonalen var oerhört personlig och vänlig. De frågade varje morgon hur dagen innan varit och hade oftast specifika frågor utifrån vad man berättat för dem dagen innan. De hjälpte också gärna […] till med bokningar för rundturer etc. Vi kan varmt rekommendera detta Bed & Breakfast som till ett billigt pris gav oss ett bra ställe att bo på under våra dagar i Dublin. 더 보기

Mycket trevlig personal. Familjärt och hemtrevligt hotell med bra lägem Nära till centrum, promenadavstånd. Rummen var ganska små men vi använde rummen enbart för sömn så det gjorde inte oss något. Avresedagen då vi åkte från hotellet redan kl. 06.00 hade de ordnat frukostpaket åt oss. Vi bor gärna på detta hotell igen!

Helt ok hotell men det var inte bekvämt med 2 kranar - en med varmt och en med kallt vatten (man kan inte tvätta båda händerna samtidigt för med en hand måste man trycka på knappen - släpper man den så slutar vattnet rinna). Som lågprisalternativ är hotellet utmärkt. Ostört men ändå centralt beläget nära O´Connell Street, Dublins huvudgata och affärscentrum, och bara 15 minuters promenad till restaurangkvarteren i Temple Bar. Er waren verwarmingsproblemen, maar deze werden verholpen met een elektrische radiator. Ligging : een klein half uurtje stappen van centrum van Dublin, maar wel rustig gelegen, geen last van omgevingslawaai. Vriendelijke en gedienstige uitbaters. Prijs/kwaliteit zeker aan te bevelen.

We had a triple room (3 single beds). The bathroom was neat and the shower was great. We had clean towels each day (1 per person). The beds are very good!
