we went to a family wedding booked within 5 min from reception hall worked out perfectly

The only problem was the hotel sat far back from the Interstate, in which cause me to pass it up. After contacting customer service to get the local number was when I found it. Before leaving out I tried looking it up on mapquest but the mapquest would only bring up something in Waxachie which I knew was not correct. A new very clean buiding. Great ammenities and a terrific breakfast. The only difficulty is the enterance. Its a one way street and if you get off the interstate at its exit you can't turn quick enough to enter the drive.

Fairly new location. Comfortable. Good breakfast assortment. Hotel could use some very much cleaning around the edges of all baseboards. Stairwells were very dirty.

Nice hotel but the auto function on the thermostat did not work so you had to have the AC/Heater on or off. It made it too noisy or too cold. We even tried the heater but it smelled too much from burning dust (we guessed). The breakfast was OK.

Nice clean room. Breakfast was good. Overall nice place to stay.

Overall the stay was excellent. The only issue was the non-insulated walls. You could here every from the next room which was a barking dog. Had to turn on AC constantly to drown out noise.

There is absolutely only one thing to make the stay better and that would be to have flavored coffee creamers at the breakfast buffet. The packages of dry creamer was kind of a disappointment.

Overall good. The bed was comfortable and all was quiet. There was wh at looked like dried urine behind the toilet. Not hard to avoid though.

When I reported that the ice machine was not working on my floor, I was told that it hasn't been working for "some time now." The employee was clearly unmotivated to do anything to see that the maintenance issue was addressed. I was told I could come to the lobby to use that machine. I did not want to have to ride THE ELEVATOR every time I NEEDED ICE. Although […] it didn't leak, the toilet tank was cracked and had been poorly repaired. I know from recent home renovations that a replacement tank is not very expensive. It looked like a contractor was taking advantage of a property owner and the owner is so hands off in the business that they make it easy to be ripped off. I grew up in this area and was glad to see a hotel of this caliber in the area. It's a shame that lack of attention to overall maintenance will spoil this property's reputation quickly. 더 보기

I had a couple of problems, first all the ice machine were out all except on the first floor and they had no towel ready and they wanted me to come and get my own towel after not having the towel ready.

MY REASON FOR MAKING THIS MY CHOICE OVER THE OTHER HOTELS WAS THAT IT HAD AN INDOOR SWIMMING POOLE. WELL THE POOLE, JACUZZZI, AND SWIMM ROOM FLOOR WERE ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH NASTINESS EVER. AS LONG AS NO ONE IS PARTICULAR OF A CLEAN SWIMMING AREA THE REST OF THE HOTEL AND SERVICES IS EXCELLENT.

I choose this hotel because it was t he most for the money, but it is definitely a 2.5 star rating hotel as listed. It appeared to be relatively new but the pool had not been taken care of and had mold on walls, floor and doors and the pool room smelled of mold. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits […] and gray and of course the usual pastries and waffles. The outside of the hotel had garbage all over the parking lot which was unappealing. Staff was courteous and friendly. Also this hotel does allow dogs and heard a dog barking in the middle of the night. Overall I would rate this hotel a 3 out of 5. Hope this is helpful. 더 보기

I booked this hotel because the price was right, there was a washer and dryer, indoor pool, and complimentary hot breakfast. An added bonus was the decent size mini-fridge and microwave in the room. Beds were comfortable with nice sized pillows. The towels were also nice and fluffy. Air conditioning was easy to adjust; however, due to recent storms […] in the area, the air filters probably should be checked. The only real negative is the only elevator is a bit slow. I heard numerous comments from my party say that locating the stairs was much quicker. However, it is less than 20 miles from Scarborough Fair in Waxahachie. There are also so many different restaurants and fast food places within a five mile radius that we never had to leave the access roads surrounding I-35. In fact, the hotel sets back enough that the highway noise is minimal. I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again, and would recommend it to others . . . provided they maintain the same standards that I witnessed during my stay. 더 보기

The first night we were here there was a party going on in the meeting room on the first floor. We could hear the music from the third floor, keeping us awake till about 1:00am. The room itself was OK, but getting to it was odd. The elevator call button was only down, the up, to go to our floor was just a hole. The ice machine on our floor didn't […] work & we couldn't ask housekeeping about anything because they spoke no English. The TV in our room worked for about 5 minutes, then the picture went white with shadows. The pool had green water in it & you couldn't see the bottom. The smell of mold was overpowering. There were soap bubbles in the hot tub & there was a blue-green scum on the tiles around the hot tub. The sides of the pool were slimy. In the bathroom in the pool area, the door was almost rusted through, there was rust all over the floor, and there was mold from floor to ceiling behind the door. I paid more and stayed farther from the event I was attending because of a pool I couldn't use. The second morning, the breakfast was not kept supplied and when asked, we were told it would be 30 minutes till things could be restocked. The "cook" was waiting for her family (I saw them helping her clean and sweep after breakfast) to arrive before refilling the food. Many hotel guests were turned away. My truck was damaged in the parking lot and many guests were parking in the entry way or along the driveway, blocking in other cars, because there was not enough parking. There were a couple of employees that were helpful. The woman who was checking out things on different floors was very nice. I wish I had gotten her name. She saw us going to the first floor to get ice and told us she would come and reset the ice machine, saying it does that all the time. The young man at the front desk during the day was helpful and was willing to check out the TV problems. 더 보기

Could of rated this hotel higher but for two flaws. The first is a personnel thing...hate to criticize, but breakfast helper person was decidedly unfriendly and on the business computer during her shift. Never interacting with guests, she failed to make anyone more comfortable than without her presense. That's the worst of it... The second issue is […] the business computers are secured so tight that I couldn't access several sites such as Google's Gmail and a couple of other industry sites that I regularly check-in on. Don't know whether this is a typical issue with LQ, this LQ or just bad luck the day I stayed. Won't keep me from going back however as every other aspect of my stay was what I expected and desired. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We did not do the breakfast buffet so we are unable to comment.

The hotel was modern and very appealing to the eye. The room was large enough. Very close to WalMart and other shopping. I was able to check-in early, which was a plus. It has a nice breakfast selection. My only problem was that there were a few stains on the carpet and on the duvet. Hotel was located on I-35 which gave excellent access to Love Airport in Dallas plus just 1.5 miles south of I-20 which gave excellent access to Oak Cliff -- the Promise Keeper's rally.

The buffet breakfast was great!

Our stay was great. It was my husband's birthday and we rarely get out to do anything. We even live in the same city but I wanted to make his day special so I picked us a place to spend a one night get away. Not getting a chance to get out much we wouldn't be doing this again any time soon however I will deffinitely look this hotel company again wherever […] we may be should we need a place to stay. We travel alot but only to see family and always stay with one of them. In truth...your hotel was way more comfortable than any of our family stays. Ha. We love our family but this was really nice. The room was very nice and clean. The furniture was stylish and comfortable. The check in and out was quick and easy. There was a problem with the elevator making an unsettlling noise which a lot of guest commented on. I advised the hotel clerk but it was still making the noise when I left four days later. My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites DeSoto was REMARKABLE! I love the bed, the service was great and the food was HOT, GOOD, and PLENTY!! I will DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again!

We checked in quickly and went to our room only to discover it was not the room we had reserved. Only after quite some time in the lobby speaking to the manager on the phone were we finally given a room that would accomodate our family. The hotel tried to charge us more for the upgrade, but after my persistence they adhered to the price I paid from […] hotels.com. The room was fine. It had enough beds which was the important part, but the carpet could have definitely used a cleaning. Breakfast was fine until they tried to shut it down and hour early. Overall it was okay. To be short and brief, our room was not cleaned well. The bathroom had hair in the tub!! The hotel did not have enough towels and housekeeping came to work around 1000, so please do not call for anything... We recieved the best customer service. The hotel was immaculant. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed again on the return home from our trip. We payed more but it was worth it.
