It was more than adequate in all regards! Front desk was very friendly. I would stay again. They need a pool and jacuzzi!

Excellent service, very accommodating with schedules and children, very good continental breakfast, next to the entry to the Capito Reef National Park. It was a plus that we could use the indoor swimming pool and internet service in the sister hotel, Days Inn!

Incredily beautiful surroundings...quiet and peaceful..superb customer service!!!! Much better than most of the Best Western places we have stayed!

While advertised as accepting pets, the booking agency failed to mention the $15 surcharge. This altered the economic decision to book this lodging.

There wasn't much choice, but wish there was. A few things didn't work in the room & there was no internet access for guests in the lobby. The breakfast was fine, but the breakfast room could not hold the soldout hotel crowd. Since there's no other hotel nearby, it seems there's no incentive to improve. The room numbers were the same color as the wall […] so we couldn't find our room in the dusk - get some black marker now! a very nice place to stay if you want to explore the nearby national park Capitol Reef. Its only about a 10 mile drive to the park. There are also shops and a gas station nearby, so you can 'refuel' for your hiking or visiting trips to the national park easily. The hotel offers free WiFi services, but you might only receive them in the rooms nearby […] the lobby. There is plenty of room and sitting opportunities though in the lobby if you want to check your emails though. 더 보기

This hotel was convenient access to Capital Reef. Our room faced the mountains so we had beautiful views as well as sunsets. The only downfalls were WiFi only available in the lobby and the second morning we were there we went for breakfast at 8:15 and there wasn't anythying left they were serving until 9.

Close to Capitol Reef in a very nice location. Very clean and good condition, maybe they just did some works, it seems new.

The hotel is located a few miles from Capitol Reef and very close to the town of Torrey. The rooms were nice and very inexpensive.

We stayed one night at this motel and received superior service. I had forgotten part of my medication and the staff went out of their way to ensure that it was there when I arrived. Then my son left his wallet in the room. The staff tracked it down and mailed it to us. I would definiely stat here again and recommend it to friends.

its really close to Capitol Reef Park, which is great, was a bit hard to find on arrival though. very friendly staff in the hotel and also in the nearby mexican restaurant. really worth the money!

The manager and other staff we encountered were pleasant and cooperative. On the upper floor at the back of the motel, our room had a beautiful view of redstone bluffs. It was clean and well maintained, without the scuffed, used look of rooms in so many other motels. (The manager said that he has the rooms renovated annually during the low season.) The […] queen beds were comfortable. Soundproofing, between rooms and from outside (given the double-glazed windows) seemed adequate; the movement of other guests did not disturb us (provided people did not conduct conversations on the balcony outside the room). The seal around the doorframe needed adjustment to close a minor gap. The bar fridge was useful for keeping beverages; above it was a microwave oven. We enjoyed having coffee-making facilities in the room. The room lighting was adequate, but a bit dull. (This could be rectified by using translucent instead of opaque lampshades and higher wattage tubes in the fluorescent light on the ceiling.) The air conditioning and water system worked well. The free WiFi worked flawlessly within our room (209), though we did see some people using their computers in the lobby (perhaps a stronger router might be in order). A buffet breakfast was available from 7 a.m. till 9 a.m. (As late risers, we would have appreciated breakfast available till 10 a.m. — at least till 9:30 a.m. Fortunately, during our visit staff did not whisk and lock everything away exactly at 9 a.m. which gave us a little flexibility.) The choice included a standard range of items for this class of motel: dry cereals and packets of oatmeal; orange, apple, cranberry and mixed fruit drinks; milk, tea, coffee and chocolate; flavored cream, sugar and saccharin; waffles and syrup; muffins, bagels, bread-toast and hard-boiled eggs; cream cheese, jams, peanut butter, margarine; apples, bananas and packets of dry cranberries. We were very satisfy with our stay. The room was clean. We were comfortable in every way. The breakfast provided was great. There were enough food selection. We would go there again. The price was fair.

staff was very nice and helpful. Room is clean and nicely decorated. It also has a Mexico restaurant and a small convenience store for snacks and food. Its continental breakfast was very good. I liked the boiled eggs and waffles. :) Walk around the hotel during day time if you can. there is a hidden waterfall that is very easy to find.

We stayed at the Howard Johnson Torrey this past weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The front desk gentlemen were very friendly and accommodating and made us feel welcome, calling us by our names and even addressing our children. The breakfast was pretty good too, although the waffles didn't come out until the last 30 minutes of breakfast. The beds […] were "ok" -- but a little too soft for my liking, but other than that, it was clean and felt safe. I would recommend this hotel to others traveling to Capitol Reef -- it is absolutely stunning in its surroundings of the red rocks of Capitol Reef. Clean, comfortable motel, nice setting, efficient staff, good breakfast.

Ideal location just outside Capitol Reef NP. Very little in vacinity. Hotel seemed to be recently renovated, rooms comfortable & nicely furnished. Complimentary breakfast of good standard. Hotel staff friendly & helpful. Gym a smelt too much of stale sweat to use!

This hotel has nice clean rooms and friendly staff. It's much newer than most of the hotels in Torrey. The location is great to get to local attractions like Capitol Reef. It's also very close to several restaurants and has a gas station\convenience store right next to it. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel staff bent over backwards to accommodate our every need including towels and water to wash down our motorcycles! Great service and attitude!

Nice clean hotel. Views of surrounding area. Several restaurant choices within 7 miles. Easy to find off highway.

If you're visiting Capital Reef National Park this is a great place to stay. The only downside was the lack of a pool/spa. Rooms were very big and comfortable. Beds were very nice.

My wife & I made this our headquarters for an anniversary stay. The location to the surrounding beauty of the area, Capitol Reef National Park, etc. was perfect. The room was nice and had a refrigerator and microwave, but could have used some extra lighting to brighten it up. This was not a problem since we spent our time touring the area. Art, the […] proprietor, was very friendly & helpful. The hotel also offers a free breakfast with waffles, cereal, bagels, fruit, juices, toast & coffee. There is also a gas station/convenience store within 50 yards and a Mexican restaurant. The hotel is back away from the highway so it was very quiet. We will be back! 더 보기

This hotel is an attractive option in a very interesting town.

the hotel room was clean and updated so that was nice, BUT the a/c unit in my room didn't have a setting for a constant fan...so it kicked on for a few minutes then kicked off; again and again and again and again and so on.... this unit had to be the loudest i've ever heard in a hotel room - it even kept my husband up all night too and he usually sleeps […] through noises that i don't. so even though we pre-paid two nights, we had to leave after the first because we didn't want a repeat of being drained and cranky the following day. 더 보기

The view was stunning, and the manager very friendly. There was a beautiful little waterfall hidden just yards away! Great fridge and microwave...that helped a ton. Yummy food at the adjacent Restaurant...only downer was that the pool was broken. :(

We spend two nights the last week of April 2011 at the Howard Johnson in Torrey, UT. We went to go see Capitol Reef National Park and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the park. I went with my wife and two small children. The views from the rooms are AMAZING. So great to wake up and look out the window at the red rocks surrounding the hotel. (highly recommend […] walking from the back of the hotel to a hidden waterfall only 200 ft from the hotel) The hotel is located on a few feet from Capitol Reef so it takes no time at all to be in the park. There is also three nice restaurants with in walking distance. I really enjoyed La Cueva Mexican restaurant located only half a block away, very authentic Mexican food. Rooms were good, staff was very nice, continental breakfast was good and a huge plus to start your day off right and FREE! :) All in all, very happy and would definitely stay there again! 더 보기

I found the desk person to be competent and friendly. In fact, he knew a good college friend of mine. My room was clean and neat, with amenities I needed. The hotel is conveniently located for local restaurants, off the highway privacy, and scenic mooring views.

The former Hidden Falls Motel is now a Howard Johnsons, is in excellent condition, provides comfortable accommodations and friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located to Capitol Reef National Park with and excellent restaurant, La Cueva within walking distance of the motel.

Friendly staff, very clean room and well equipped with a fridge, microwave, Wifi in room, ...very nice view (for the rooms at rear of the hotel) - a place to stay. Hotel lies a about 3/4 of a mile outside of Torrey towards Capitol Reef Nat.Park. Very calm situation. Good mexican restaurant within walking distance.

Beautiful setting in red rock country, convenient to Capitol Reef National Park. No cell phone coverage for AT&T or T-Mobile, minimal Verizon. Wi-Fi only works in lobby and even there it's very slow, but this may be a good thing because it forces you to slow down and pay attention to the surroundings. The hotel was hard to find - it seems to have recently become a Howard Johnson property and is known locally by a different name. Surrounding countryside is beautiful but the hotel is rather downcast. Noisy fridge and air conditioner, a hobo spider in the bathroom, and very minimal breakfast.
