Poor maintenance, shredded towels, lies, horrible food, and ocean front rooms are way back from ocean and beach, behind the pool

We paid for and were promised an oceanfront room with wireless access to the Internet. We only had a partial view which is far from being oceanfront. We asked to be moved and were told that our partial view was indeed oceanfront. NOT! Wireless is imperative to keep up with my business. Our wireless access room only received a signal if I stood in one […] spot in the corner of the room. We complained and a bell men came to our room to show us how to hook up, something I've done dozens of times. When he came up he was mystified as to why none of our 3 iPads and 2 iPhones. He told us it was probably due to the inline obstruction from the router. They did nothing to try to move us. When we first arrived we ate lunch in their restaurant. When I asked the hostess if this was the same dining room that we would also fo for breakfast she answered that they weren't surfing breakfast because it was lunchtime, looking at me as if I was crazy to ask the question she had thought that I asked. The bath towels were either frayed or had holes in them. Some had frayed strings hanging a few inches from the towel. The icing on the cake was the temp control on our shower. It turned loosely 360 degrees and kept going. The temperature was very difficult to set. Caution!! Their so-called oceanfront rooms are all ocean view. There are no rooms near the beach. The distance is about 300 feet. This hotel's advertising is false. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you the my oysters were the toughest I've ever had and my shrimp were mealy. One of them still had the vein in it even though that part of the back had been peeled off. Stay there at your own risk! 더 보기

With a little reservation. Room was old with fresh coat of paint and a few new appointments. Some of the old stuff was still there. Was in a small building off the main hotel though. The hotel grounds were great looking. Local restaurants were nice. really liked the island atmosphere when driving around town.

We got a great rate for a spacious room with a mini-kitchen. The outdoor pool was closed for construction, which we didn't know about, but it was March, so we didn't really expect it to be open. The restaurant/bar is a little pricey, but good service, good drinks, and good food. The only other downside is that we had a view of the rental apartments […] across the street where a bunch of spring breakers were partying all night. I guess you get what you pay for! 더 보기

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Resturant was a little slow but food was good. My 8 year old enjoyed the heated indoor pool. I would revisit this hotel in the future.

I paid extra for an "oceanfront room". That is a laugh. The room faced a parking lot and the side of the adjacent building. I guess if you looked sideways out the window at an extreme angle, you might catch a glimpse of the ocean, but to call this an oceanfront room? That's really stretching it, certainly not worth the extra money. Also, the pool and […] hot tub closes at 8 PM, way too early for us! The hotel is beautiful and well-situated in St. Simons Island. The food was outstanding and the service was, for the most part, fabulous. The only problem was that the concierge didn't know the island at all. After asking her several questions (she never turned to her computer for answers) about shopping she said that there were not any shops fitting […] our needs. ect location right on the beach. We had a king room which was spacious with double sinks in the bathroom. The hotel was walking distance to some restarants but we had to drive to the pier and lighthouse. If your planning on golfing, be aware that the golf course is off site and is about a 25 min. drive, but it's a beautiful course. This hotel is in an excellent location literally on the beach. While hardly new, the hotel is in good shape. The pools are fantastic and there were towels available for pool and beach use around the clock. All in all this is a great place to stay although a little pricey in season.

If money is of little importance to you this is a nice place. I normally don't pay this much for a room but it is all very nice.

The King and Prince has old world charm and a wonderful beach front location. It is a bit worn and therefore, we felt a little overpriced. Our room was well appointed and fresh. Our only real complaint was that room service did not come until the afternoon, which is when would have liked to nap. On the 2nd day we asked the desk to have our room made […] up earlier and when we went back to the room around 3 the maids were still in the area and had not done our room and apologetically explained that they had not been told to do our room first. The beach at that part of the island is not very wide so at high tide it is not possible to walk on the beach. The balcony was very pleasant to sit on and enjoy the ocean view the the pool and gardens below. 더 보기

Made reservations for a last minute getaway. We were thrilled with our accommodations. The room was beautiful and the staff friendly. While here we took time to sit by the pool, sun on the beach, and visit nearby sites, including Savannah. Will come again!!

Nothing like waking up walking out your back door and being on the beach! we went here for our honeymoon,and it was exactly what we expected.

Beautiful lobby and rooms. Enjoyed having a starbucks and pastry shop in lobby, although we had to pay for it. Coffee maker in room didn't work and our view was the top of a huge air conditioning unit. Everything was very clean and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Disappointedd that at high tide there was no beach so had to walk through shallow […] waves to get to a beach area. Would return if I knew we had a better view. 더 보기

We booked this hotel because our friends recommended it & they were right. It was a very quaint resort right on the beach. The rooms were clean & it was close to the main downtown area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking for a special place to stay.
