Even noisy at the back away from the road

Good staff, cleanliness. Decent for the money. Located on the famous/infamous Colfax Ave. in Denver. All hours of the day and night,"street people" wander. Very close to several music venues and to the Sixteenth Street walking mall and downtown. We decided to go a little cheap this year for a convention in denver, so we went with the Econolodge rather than a nicer hotel downtown. While the location was nice, only a mile from the convention center, the neighborhood and hotel itself were a little questionable. We had a fight outside our door at 2am, and the beds were horrible, wrapped in plastic […] like my child's crib mattress. In the end, we got what we paid for. If you're looking for a bargain, this is it. But price is the only thing going for it. 더 보기

Basic room, but ideal for a couple of night stay if ya wanna be near downtown. If your not planning on spending much time in your room, its perfect.

Noisy ... charlies resturant next door has an open back patio and the LOUD noise/band goes till 3am. Also my keys had to be remagnatized EVERY DAY necessitating a trip to the desk every day after a looong day at work VERY FRUSTRATING. What I could not believe is that the hotel charged my credit card without telling me. I booked the room through hotels.com and paid in full before my stay. However when I checked my credit card statement several days after I left this hotel, I found this hotel charged me nearly 200 dollars without telling me anything. This small hotel is very convenient to the 16th Street Mall and the Denver Center where I needed to be for the evening. The center city hotels are way above my means and the EconoLodge is what its name implies. I'll go back when I need to be in center city Denver again.

The hotel room had small beds, an old TV, no coffee pot, no bathroom fan and was moderately maintained. It was in a convenient location, but has a small parking area that was typically overcrowded. It was reasonably priced for its location. The hotel staff were rather nice and considerate.

Great Location if You are going to a Concert at the Fillmore or Ogden Theatre, However the Hotel itself is really just average and needs a lot of work as far as maintenance and improvements. Needs more selection for Continental Breakfast and the sheets and blankets need to be replaced or cleaned better. Sheets were very itchy and dry. If you need a room for a night or two and don't expect to spend a lot of time in the hotel, then this is it. Walking distance to most downtown destinations and less than 2 or 3 blocks to lots of bars, pubs, and good restaurants. room was okay (torn carpet, but clean). AC had a loud blaring noise which made it hard to sleep. but convenient to restaurants/bars and short trip to downtown.

This is hotel is great for the price, safe parking and close to all sights in Denver., Nice and clean Not as fancy as the big hotels. but clean,m ha ndy and works well to see Denver

Didnt kmow how to set up a wake up call. Put us in the room next door to a noisy bar.

you get what you pay for and considering that, it wasn't bad.

The neighborhood is not very good. I stayed on a weekend and it was very loud both from music in the neighborhood, people directly outside my door, and people in other rooms. You can hear pretty well through the walls. Doors open directly to the outside. Even with the shades closed, the light from the walkway shone in all night.

decent price. continental breakfast was nothing but a bagels and toast really. rooms were clean. it is a great location all attractions were fairly close by. just make sure to take all valuables with u.

We went for a show at the Ogden Theater; to our surprise, it was right across the street (and also very convenient to where our friends were staying). The place was clean; bed & pillows not very comfy but okay for the one night.

I've chosen this hotel because it was the closest to the center, and the cheaper. It is not fancy, not nice, but it is convenient. Advantages: swimming pool and hot tub (very nice) + best staff ever :) + free bikes Disadvantages: it is not in a very nice location, next to the crossroads and highway, pretty far from center

The young man working the night shift was very kind and polite, accomodating to all of our needs, dispite the fact that we did not check in until 2 a.m. The hotel also supplied free necessities that I had forgotten, and overall, I was impressed considering the hotel only has a two star rating.

It's a clean hotel and the staff tries to please. Neighborhood didn't feel very safe, but it's within a responsible distance of downtown Denver. If you are arriving with a car be prepared to deal with limited parking.

This hotel is very nice for the price. I have read some reviews online that were complaining about the bad surrounding neighborhood. While it's true that the area immediately surrounding the hotel isn't the nicest and prettiest, at no time did I feel unsafe. I walked to downtown from the hotel at all hours of the day and night, and there was never a […] reason to be concerned. There are some shady characters, but being from New Orleans, I've definitely seen worse and don't think there is anything to worry about ;-). One thing that is very positive about the place is the staff! They were extremely helpful. Example: I called for a shuttle to take me to the airport, but the shuttle never showed up. There were 3 other guys in the lobby waiting for the same shuttle service, and after waiting for an hour and a half and after determining that no shuttle would come, one of the clerks at the front desk offered to take us all in his personal car. He wanted to make sure that we wouldn't miss our flights. That was a lot more than could ever be expected, and I have to give the staff 5 stars for going the extra mile! Thanks again! 더 보기

Staff was friendly and accommodating with a smile. No in room clothes irons/boards or hair dryers. Little parking on busy night. Room was clean with exception of stain on sheets and carpet. 2 a.m. late check-in was only possible because I called the night before. Upon arrival there was some concern that there weren't any rooms available, but as a result […] of the call the clerk had checked me in and already reserved a room. It was spacious for a 1 king bed room, but the bathroom was a bit small. The air conditioner was a bit noisy an not for light sleepers. Unfortunately, room 312 was on the north side of the 3rd floor and the next door building was a bar making it very loud throughout the night. 더 보기

Nice walk to convention center. Much appreciated before and after sitting all day, but through a rough neighborhood. Wouldn't walk alone. Wendy's and convenience store next door, so that was nice. Rooms ok- what you would expect at an EconoLodge. Walls thin, though, and could easily hear concerts across street each night. Breakfast was quite limited […] and breakfast area dirty- again thankful for convenience store next door. No irons or ironing boards in room- had to ask for one at front desk. Front desk couldn't make copies. No fitness center- but over 1 mile hike to convention center helped to get exercise in. $4 cab ride if prefer that option. 더 보기

As I pulled up to the place, it was not very attractive at all. It was rundown on the outside and not in a very nice part of town. I would not have stayed here but was told that my card was already charged when I was told it was only reserved. The first room had a wet spot on the bed. Was given another room. Every evening when I went to take a bath, […] it took several minutes for the hot water to come on and also there were dark hairs in the tub, that definitely were not mine. The TV did not have the local channels and I was not told this. Also, the toilet overflowed the first night and I had to flush many times each time used. The "Continental Breakfast" consisted of hard bread, generic cinnamon rolls, coffee and orange juice machine that was out of order most mornings. The whole experience was such that I would never ever recommend this hotel to friends or enemies. 더 보기

The location was central and easy to get to. Down side was not enough parking for the number of rooms availbale. If you get in late then your expected to park in the street or in a bars parking lot. Neither of which are safe for the many of street people that are in this area. The rooms was ok for the price, but no electrical outlets in bathroom area […] if you wanna do your hair. I thought the hotel was perfectly fine - good value for the dollar, and good location. Room was fine - free Internet service. There's a 7-11 on the east side of the hotel and a nightclub on the west side. 7-11 was convenient for grabbing sodas, coffee, gas, etc. You could sometimes hear the bass beat of the music from the nightclub - until you turned […] on your AC/heater, which drowned out all ambient noise. One; There was no chair at all in my room, none. The only place I had to sit was on the bed. When doing paperwork it was difficult sitting on the bed. Two; The parking lot was too small. There were not enough parking spaces for all the rooms in the hotel or all the guests. Three; This one is only a minor issue for me on this trip because I was there […] for pleasure not business, if I had been there for business this would have really upset me. There was too much street noise. People and traffic too close to the hotel and could be heard in my room most of the day and night. There was a club right next door to the hotel and the noise coming from there kept me awake most of the night. 더 보기

It was a decent hotel, newly renovated. The area was OK, but a few beggers in the area. Short walk to the downtown area. Buses ran frequently past the hotel.

For the place and the shape its a good hotel to stay at if your standards arent high!

It's was great head shop and hookah bar across street gas next door and the Fillmore just down street. If your going to a show at Fillmore this is the best place to go.

I am sure the hotel is very nice but it is in a very "scary" part of Denver. My son and I would not even get out of the locked vehicle to go in. We paid for the room but were not confortable staying there. We found another hotel in a different part of town after chasing down a police officer. Please keep in mind we lead a very sheltered life in the […] middle of nowhere Wyoming and we are not exposed to the inner city elements. We couldn't sleep until the BAR that was right below our window closed in the wee hours. This hotel has outside doors. I think we were in a remodeled room. Basically that means they put in new carpet.(At least that is what we contributed the peculiar odor to.) I think we paid too much for the quality of room. The free breakfast was toast or 2 types […] of cold cereal. Had it been "cheap" to stay there, I would recommend to people with limited budget. As is... nooooooo. 더 보기
