loved staying in Casa Ticul - would come back again

Hotel Casa Ticul was my favorite hotel we stayed in during our trip to the Yucatan. The staff is exceptionally helpful, and the room was the cleanest and most modern we stayed in. I checked the price when I returned because I couldn't believe how much we were given for the price. They have a wonderful breakfast that is included in the cost of the room, […] and includes fresh tropical fruit, yogurt, fresh juices, coffee, omelets/pancakes/toast/etc. Additionally, they have arrangements with several ocean front hotels, which are only two blocks away, so you can access their chairs/palapas/towels (and, at least where we went, have a 10% bar discount). Paloma, the concierge during our stay, was an excellent resource for restaurants and anything else we needed. 더 보기

This hotel was right at the end of the main tourist area. Plenty of things to do and lots of good restaurants. The staff was happy and very helpful. We really enjoyed the free passes to three beach clubs that each specialized in either food, quiet, or activities. Outstanding service but Bad Smell, Too Humid Room

Casa Ticul is just beyond the reach of the noisiest and busiest part of Avenida Quinta, in a more residential part of the Playa del Carmen community. While there are still numerous shops, restaurants and coffee-houses within a few moment's walk, you'll find that most of the high-energy, high-volume, cruise-ship's-in-town aspects of "Quinta" are a safe […] distance away, giving the hotel a nice, relaxing vibe. The staff are pleasant and attentive, and the reception area is adorned with 1940's-vintage pictures of the country pueblo near Merida for which the hotel is named. The charming boutique hotel was perfect for our stay in Playa Del Carmen. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The hotel is well furnished, rooms were good sized, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Complimentary breakfast on the roof top each morning was very nice, and the hotel provided very speedy complimentary wireless […] internet as well. The location was also great, just one block off the beach very close to the Mamitas Beach club (for which the hotel will give you a voucher for chairs), and at the end of 5th avenue (the main street for shopping, restaurants and night life). the lights in the room were waY too weak and low. so they need to change the light bulbs probably. overall good experience.

The BEST HOTEL you can stay at Playa del Carmen! Best service for a great price!

We were advised by both the hotel staff and a sign on the bathroom wall not to flush toilet paper down the toilet but rather throw "used" toilet paper in the trash can. Also no hot water in shower. It is a clean, quant hotel but these two factors greatly clouded the experience. I would definately stay elsewhere next time in Playa Del Carmen

i loved this hotel; great location, friendly staff, cute, cozy and at an incredible price! Two nice surprises as well; breakfast was included and it has a swimming pool.

This was my sixth visit to Playa del Carmen and my first time in the Casa Tikul. By far, it was the best hotel I've stayed in, bar none! I was amazed by the friendliness of the employees, even the maintenance workers! The maid service was exemplary, as was the overall cleanliness and condition of the hotel. The beds were the most comfortable that I've […] ever experienced, even in the USA. The complementary morning breakfasts on the roof terrace were pleasant. We usually started out with coffee and juice, and then, when we were ready, we were served the cooked special of the day, like huevos rancheros, ham and cheese omelette, or whatever the special of the day was. There also was toast, juices, cereal, milk, etc. Casa Tikul is located on 5th avenue, but not in the busy tourist area, which is about a 5 or 10 minute walk from there. There are two excellent restaurants just a couple of doors east of the hotel. I highly recommend them. The Los Soles is a small, new Mexican restaurant with excellent lunches. The Como Como (next door to Los Soles) is a fantastic Italian restaurant. We had dinner there several times, it was SO GOOD!! The prices were reasonable, too. When we arrived we were greeted with a HUGE smile and great hospitality. The room was spacy and comfortable and the hotel was beautiful in total. It´s only a 10-15 minutes walking to the center of town, and there are restaurants in its own area as well. There is a nice pool in the center of the hotel where you could ¨dip¨after a long day on the beach... […] Ít could be quite a little bit noisy around the pool until late evening (around 8-9PM) so if you´re planning on returning to the hotel early you might consider a room not close to the pool. The breakfast was great with a different special every day. In general, the hotel is nice, romantic, clean and beautiful and the service is more than great. If you´re in Playa del Carmen, this is the place you should stay in without any doubt!!! 더 보기

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Best value i have ever experienced anywhere and great service. Will definitely be returning in the future.

I only have good things to say. Do not hesitate to stay at Casa Ticul. You will find it clean, confortable, charming, convenient, and most of all, attentive in service. Well worth every cent.

I was annoyed upon arrival, bc my girlfriend picked this hotel instead of the one the rest of the entire wedding we were attending were staying at. To my surprise, I walked into a well designed and staffed hotel. It was minimalist and classy, comfortable and clean. The rooms was large, clean, well kept. The bed itself seemed bigger than any king bed […] i have ever laid on, and was one of the more comfortable. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our every need. It rained during our whole trip, so we did not get to experienced the roof-top breakfast we had read about. Bear in mind it RAINED practically the whole time I was there, yet the hotel still made the trip worth it. it was was just a short walking distance to great food, the main tourist shopping, and a stones throw from the beach. I felt like a got much more than what I paid for, the service itself stacks up against expensive hotel resorts. If you are looking for world class treatment for a fraction of the cost, look no further. This quite hotel will satisfy your every need. The ceviche next door was tops as well 더 보기

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon. .. we were staying in nearby resort and last minuted decided to go to playa and booked this hotel (cheap rate) and were satisfied with our short stay

If you are looking for a great place to stay in Playa, look no further. Casa Ticul offered everything we were looking for and more. It has a quiet location at the end of 5th Avenue, about 3 blocks from the beach. The rooms were extremely comfortable. The mattresses and pillows made the bed hard to leave, but since we knew that a great breakfast awaited […] on the rooftop terrace, we made it out. The breakfast offers fresh fruits and juices, great coffee (expresso etc available also) and a special that changes daily (hot cakes with fruit and chocolate and mushroom omelets for example). The whole stafff was very helpful with any of our questions and needs. Regarding location, while not on the beach, Casa Ticul does offer free guest passes to Hotel Casa Palapas and Mamitas which are both a short walk away. We preferred Casa Palapas because it offered a palm studded beach and more services. The end of 5th Avenue may be a little far out for some, but to us it was perfect. There were many great restaurants nearby (don't miss Origenes -which the hotel gave us a 30% discount coupon for). The walk to the the other end of 5th, where the ferry's depart to Cozumel, took us 15-20 minutes. What a great experience, and at a cost that doesn't break the bank. 더 보기

Le personnel super gentil, qui aime bavarder et aider si on leur demande. Chauffeur courtois qui attend à l'aéroport et nous y ramène comme convenu. J'y amènerai la famille.

Este hotel para adultos está ubicado en un sitio preferencial en Playa del Carmen; donde inicia la vida cultural de la quinta avenida, pero sin estar dentro del agite y el ruido de la rumba. Está a 2 cuadras de la playa y cuenta con todo lo necesario para considerarlo un punto estratégico para realizar recorridos a lugares cercanos y conocer mejor la […] zona. La atención de las personas del staff es excelente, desde las personas que realizan el aseo hasta el Gerente del hotel. Dieses Hotel kann ich bestens empfehlen. Das Zimmer war für mexikanische Verhältnisse extrem sauber, es hat alles bestens funktioniert. Auf der ansprechend wirkenden Dachterasse mit vielen Pflanzen geniesst man das Frühstück umso mehr. Zudem ist die Terasse mit einer Spadusche ausgestattet.
