더 나인스 (The Nines) - 포틀랜드

원래는 다른 호텔에 가려다 우여곡절 끝에 가게 되었네요. 방도 크고 럭셔리하고 깔금합니다. 다운타운에 있어 쇼핑도 편하고. 전반적으로 훌륭합니다. 다만 불만이 있다면 토욜 체크인이었는데, 시간 맞춰 갔는데도 객실 청소가 안 되었다며 라운지를 무료로 이용하라고 하더군요. 그래서 이것저것 시켰는데..나중에 20불까지만 무료라고 해서 정말 황당했습니다. 한 20불 가까이 더 낸 거 같네요. 담당직원이 달라진데다가 한국인 이미지에 먹칠하기 싫어서 그냥 참았네요. 시설에 있어 한가지 아쉬운 건 욕실 세면대입니다. 수압이 너무 약하고 물 온도 조절이 바로 바로 되지 않습니다. 욕조는 아무런 문제가 없던데.. 그래도 총점은 90점은 […] 줄 수 있을 정도로 나머지는 괜찮습니다. 더 보기

Service was great, but did not think hotel should be rated a 5 star due to lack of amenities.

the location, condition and amenities are great but frankly I felt for the size of the room the priice was a bit steep. also, I expected to pay for valet parking but 39.00 was more than it should have been.

After reading the reviews, I was skeptical. They do not have the fantastic lobby etc, however the room and location made it a great stay. The restaurant upstairs (Departure) is a little trendy, but the view is nice, and the food excellent (we live in the Napa area for a comparison). The hotel is clean. The staff is professional. The beds were not comfortable. The bathroom had no fan. On our particular visit we felt like we were in an episode of Real Housewives or Jersey Shore. We are from Portland and just not used to being surrounded by so many fake people. So glad I didn't have my family stay here for our wedding. Whew.

We were very excited to stay at such a "nice" hotel but I think we were given the room reserved for people who book through a service. My bed had a dip in it, like someone had slept in the same spot for years. But because we got back to the room so late I didn't report it to the hotel. And someone was knocking on our door at 3 am! Great hotel in the centre of Portland's shopping district,a walkable safe area with lots of different restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were very friendly and quickly took care of any difficulties. It would be nice if there was a coffee maker in the room and the lighting in the bathroom was brighter.

The hotel is in a great location for downtown activity and ease of getting to a variety of major attractions. We were very disappointed in the attitude of the staff, attention to the details was lacking in all areas of the hotel (room, restaurant, facilities). We would not stay here again or recommend it. The layout of the hotel is awful! I felt like I was on a mall elevator the whole time I was there. No lobby or nice place to make me feel special. I noticed a weird lobby when I was walking to my room and saw it looking down on an atrium. In room dining was amazing, hotel staff was superb! The room was stunning and we couldn't have had more fun!

The Nines is a great place to stay diffently up to par with other nicer hotels we have stayed at. Services was great up until we got our car. I tipped the bellmen $5 to get the bag, the second bell desk clerk for loading the car and the guy who got the car $5. The guy who just opened my door after I just tiped his crew $15 bucks gave me an attitude […] because I didn't tip him for opening 1 out of 3 doors that someone else opened. Best location in Portland. Close to museums, shopping, theaters and restaurants. Decor and layout are wonderful. One hotel restaurant was closed during our stay - the other had a somewhat limited menu. Our checkout bill was incorrect but fixed immediately when asked. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Nines. Great Customer Service. Wonderful food on the roof top restaurant. Beautiful decor. I will definitely be back.

It was never disclosed that the parking was $105 for 3 days. That was a very unpleasent suprise coming out of my bank account.

Beautiful hotel. Stayed on the Club Level which offered a lot of snacks and beverages throughout the day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel location was great. Valet parking at hotel was convenient but expensive. If you do not need in/out privileges there are city lots nearby for half the price. I ate at the two restaurants, Urban Farmer and Departure, numerous times, and was impressed by the friendly service and tasty offerings. It was a little more elegant but slightly less warm than the Hotel Monaco, the other hotel I stayed at in Portland. The Nines feels slightly impersonal and bigger than the Monaco--for instance, it took the valets 15 minutes to retrieve guests' cars versus the almost instantaneous retrieval at the Monaco--but this is a minor detail. Located above Macy's in downtown Portland, The Nines definitely gives a glamorous feeling to their guests. The staff is friendly, though perhaps a bit slow with service at times. The valet team was very swift in clearing out our vehicle and delivering bags to our room. The garage must be a little ways off because my boyfriend asked to retrieve something […] after they've parked it and they took a little extra time. When we were leaving, our car needed a jumpstart because I guess the battery was dying, and the valet was very gracious about it. Reception was a bit slow and the wait to check out took longer than I would have liked, but the staff was nice enough. We paid a bit extra to have a city view rather than atrium view, but I didn't really look out the window very often. The natural sunlight was nice to have anyway. Room service people are like ninjas. My boyfriend and I checked in in the late afternoon to an immaculate room, as expected. We went out for dinner and came back to find our room had be serviced again, the larger pillows put aside, bedding rearranged for sleep and tiny chocolate cakes on our pillows. The room was very lush and comfortable. We ordered an expensive breakfast in bed that wasn't quite up to snuff. It looked beautiful in presentation, but didn't taste as delicious as it looked. I'm not sure who enjoys unsweetened yogurt, but I don't think my boyfriend expected it. He left it practically untouched. The bathroom had only a shower, no tub. I'm all about soaking in the tub on vacation, so this was a personal let down. Downtown Portland is very nice and seems to have a lot of interesting neighbourhoods. The Nines is smack dab in the middle of it all; we walked everywhere that quiet weekend. I would have liked to try more street cart foods, but alas we visited over the Christmas weekend and most places were closed anyhow. I've stayed at most of the downtown hotels in Portland over the years and The Nines has, without question, the best hotel fitness center of any. Also liked the Bloody Mary Bar in the Urban Farmer restaurant as well as The Departures lounge on the top floor for happy hour. Will stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful and luxurious. But the hallway noise is really loud--I woke up from people just walking by the room talking, not yelling. I think the doors are not well-insulated. And when we went out to dinner we put the do not disturb sign on (left my wallet out, unmentionables, etc.) and they did turn down service anyway. We absolutely loved The Nines - it wa beyond our expectations. Service was amazing. We arrived the day before Christmas Eve and were immediately pampered by the valets! They were aweome. We travel with a toy poodle and they made sure to remember his name and greeted him everytime we picked up or returned our car. We were on the same floor as the gym […] - newer equipment, water and fruit available. Also was impressed with their business area - much more available than most hotels and i travel a lot for work. The in-hotel restaurant was very good - we loved our room with a view of the city. You really couldn't beat it over the holidays with all the lights and Pioneer Square Christmas Tree - we wil definately return to The Nines - it was like Paris in Portland! I always suggest hotels keep coffee available in the lobby - that's such a nice bonus when you travel, but they brought us a Keurig when i inquired (they don't have them in all the rooms so do ask!) 더 보기

Loved everything about the hotel in terms of esthetics and feel. Service was okay...a bit immature in my opinion. Staff was friendly but not super knowlegeable nor hospitable. Overpriced food and they gave me an atrium room where the music blared every night til 2 AM. Also the food at Urban Farm is disgusting and made me sick and it's wayy overpriced. Would not stay there again unless I was sure I was on the outside of the building in a room. I wont' eat there either way.

Stayed for one night and it felt like a long weekend... the Urban Farmer was excelent for dinner, and the location other local places for breakfast was convienent... Nice bed, bath, and view...
