"Convenient to Casino"
The reason we choose this hotel is because of its convenience in relation to being in walking distance to the Casino. The staff was friendly. Our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

"Thin Walls"
The "only" downfall I experienced was that the walls seemed a little thin. It might have been some really hard of hearing people next door who had their tv way too loud but either way it was kind of loud. We just turned our volume up and it canceled out fine. Everything else was to be as to be expected. I would stay again if I wanted to visit the casino […] across the street. Ps. Our stay at The Holiday Inn Express was very nice. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Even though there wasn't a microwave and refrig. in our room, we managed. I was surprised though they didn't have those amenities. I have never been in a hotel that didn't. Being across from the Casino was very nice as well. The two front desk workers were dressed in street clothes jean and a blouse, looked unprofessional. The one lady had her cigarettes on the counter ad well. Did not feel welcome. They put me in the wrong room. When I checked out the next day, there was a fella at the guest side of the front desk. As i approached the desk I thought he was a guest waiting […] to check in. "Florida to cherokee NC trip"
This hotel was totally empty in december, but i don't know why. it's very nice, clean and much nicer then a few other hotels nearby, one warning for this area. winter time alot of restaurants and attractions close for the season. or close early, the cherokee bear zoo is a must though. This hotel had a decent breakfast with a neat make a pancake machine. Our stay at this hotel was for convenient access to the casino, which it provided. I typically remember staff, but I don't for this hotel meaning they didn't go out of their way nor was their service poor. It was forgettable, as opposed to our stay at the Holiday Inn, Tunnel Rd, Asheville. We received nothing but smiles, and concern about our comfort. […] The beds at Cherokee were uncomfortable, and our bathroom floor was not as clean as I've experienced at other hotels. It also appeared that someones soft drinks fizzed on the wall, and had not been cleaned by the staff. However,this did not keep us from sleeping. "No insulation"
It was the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. The people in the hall and the next room sound like they are standing next to you. The staff is great, the beds are comfy but you can hear everything going on around you.

"Close but No Cigar"
A very nice, very comfortable, reasonably priced hotel that we will no doubt visit again. Note, however, that "across the street" from Harrah's is a tiny bit misleading. You will have to walk about 100 yards on the gravel berm to get to the cross walk that leads to the bridge that leads to the casino. We enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very nice & friendly. It was convenient to all of the things we wanted to do. Very nice atmosphere.
The hotel was nice and clean but convenience was not an option. The hotel was on a narrow two lane road with construction. The casino is not in the hotel. It is across the street in another hotel. It would have been nice to have a small fridge for keeping snacks.

The hotel was nice to visit, The room and hall way floors lacked some cleaning,trash and dirt on carpet and elsewhere. Staff were cordial , Towels and bath supplies were adequate. Great location-right across the street from Harrah's Casino. 7 miles to Bryson City where you can ride the Great Smoky Mountain Train and do some sight-seeing. 10 miles to Maggie Valley, which has some nice shops. 35 miles to Gatlinburg where there is lots of shopping, entertainment, and restaurants. "Cheerokee,NC"
We took our 2 grandsons to see the mountains, the train ride and the Indians. The morning breakfast was great because our picky 11 year old found plenty to eat. This was our first visit to this area, thanks for an enjoyable one. They loved the pool, seeing it was so hot.

This Hoilday Inn was nice and convient it was across the street from the cherokee Harrah's you could walk to the stores or the casino any time of day or nite Good Hotel for the money It's a lower end 3 star but nice

The room did not possess a refrigerator or microwave oven. The shower and shower curtain was molded. Both are very unacceptable for a hotel in the price range.

Hot water was only sporatic. We were promised a room with double beds, got a king nothing else available. we were next to the laundry so needless to say the noise level was terrible. we will not be staying there again.

Although I was ill the whole trip our room was relaxing.Room was cleaned everyday while we were gone. The Cont. breakfest was really good. The Staff was very helpful. Next time we go to Cherokee NC we will stay there again.

Easy to locate. Easy stroll to casino except needs better sidewalks and lighting. Hotel breakfast was well maintained and had good variety. Maid service could use some work. Front desk was courteous but spent too much time on computer.

Check in was no problem at all and the staff were great. We had to leave early due to Daughter back home having to be flown to hospitial in Louisville Kentucky for emergency surgery and the Hotel and staff worked with us so good it was hard to believe. We appreciate them and will stay there again, And I would recomend this Motel to all people.

The hotel was in walking distance to Harrah's Casino & Hotel. The room was clean and spacious. I only wish it had a small fridge. We were however provided with an ice bucket.

No complaints here. Good Continental breakfast included, very clean room, lots of towels. Couldn't close drapes, only the sheers, so light comes in early but not bad so didn't bother us. Coffee pot in room. Close to casino but too far for us to walk it. We'd stay there again.

We always try to stay here if the Casino hotel is booked up. The prices are reasonable and you cant beat the location. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly! Not a 5 star hotel but for the price it is a great value!
"RUDE STAFF"
Hotel staff was rude and acted as if we should know the questions we were asking. At 5:30 in the morning, the cleaning staff was being so loud with the trashcans and cleaning carts that it woke us up. The room was ok, pretty typical hotel room, however, the bathtub was dirty. I will not be staying there again simply because of the staff.

"Great Room for the most part"
The room was very nice and roomy.We had the king bed no smoking. The only minor drawback was noise from both side and upstairs. Walls and cieling too thin. But this shouldn't keep travellers from staying. This was New Year weekend so some noise allowed. Otherwise good breakfast,close to casino clean room and nice employees... No complaints really.

MapQuest states this hotel is 10 miles away from the casino, but it’s actually right across the street. Upon arrival, front desk attendants and manager were very friendly and attentive! This hotel was wonderful and the location is very convenient, clean, and well-maintained. Our room was excellent…very clean (NO BUGS), beds were very comfortable and […] bathroom sparkling. Service was great! Did not like the breakfast, but it was probably due to the choices I made. However, they can surely do better than using the cheapest paper plates and plastic ware on the market, OMG! There are other eateries nearby. We would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat.
