Clean, great service, friendly and comfortable. Location is not in the best neighborhood, but security that the home offered made us feel safe.

This mansion is not downtown. We had to SHARE A BATHROOM and there was a dog that was jumping on us within minutes of our arrival, both of these things were NOT communicated when we booked. The food was edible. We were also taken aback when the hostess gave us a "cultural lesson" on the surrounding neighborhood. The hostess needs to keep her political ideas and ideas about other cultures to herself and they need to be more clear in advertising the rooms and the dog, because I am allergic and this caused discomfort immediately. 더 보기

The location was great for getting to and from Miller Park. The park is within walking distance (just about 1 mile), but we drove because of rain. Still were able to go from our car in the Uecker Lot to inside the Mansion in 10 minutes. In addition the breakfast was delicious. Location is on the West Side of Milwaukee, which isn't a very nice area. The surrounding neighborhood appears to be in transition but still quite poor. Wouldn't recommend walking around. Hotel owner was pretty uncooperative about changing reservation after we realized hotel was not in decent area.

The Schuster Mansion is the perfect substitute to a high priced hotel room in downtown Milwakuee; the place has amazing charm, and the proprietors go out of their way to go above and beyond to provide you with superior service, and a lovely stay. Actually, they said that we could have gotten a better rate by booking directly. So, buyer beware. Also, the property is clearly a B&B, but it seemed looking at the hotels.com site that it was more of a hotel (all rooms en suite, etc.). Hopefully this will be helpful to future guests. We were in Milwaukee for only one night but our stay at the Shuster Mansion was a wonderful experience. We stay at many Bed and Breakfast and found this one to be very comfortable and nice. The owners were very pleasant and seemed to really enjoy the mansion,it's guest, and the history. Our stay here put us in very close proximity to everything we wanted […] to see while in Milwaukee. Great service and nice historical mansion. Area surrounding the hotel is a bit sketchy and entertaining to say the least, but a street over is an easy bus ride downtown or out to miller park.

An old mansion being resurrected into a bed and breakfast close to downtown Milwaukee seeks to regain its' former glory under the loving hands of hosts Laura and Rick; the owners for the last 2 years. I wanted to stay within a reasonable walking distance of Miller Park for the Farm Aid Concert, and the Shuster Mansion fit the bill perfectly, about a mile away. The mansion has been lovingly restored with only little bit left to do. Our hosts could not have been more friendly, personable, and considerate. As my 18-year-old daughter said, "Dad, it's […] just like staying at a friend's home, only nicer!". It is a quick drive to downtown. The neighborhood is fine in the daylight, but it is not really a waiking neighborhood at night. By the way, my daugher also remarked at how nice the guests were, and then she said that it made sense, that anyone who would stay in a place like this would have to be nice.All in all, a great place and one where I would stay again. 더 보기

We chose the Schuster Mansion for the proximity to Miller Park for a Brewers game. Not only was it close, but our host delivered us and picked us up for a small fee. The rooms are lovely and decorated in period and theme settings. Our room (lone star) had a shared bathroom, and I would suggest getting a room with a bath. The breakfasts were excellent […] and worth the stay. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The only reason that I did not give the highest rating possible is that the mansion is still under renovation and there are unfinished rooms and outside finishes. The neighborhood appears somewhat questionable at first, but turned out to be a nice location with no issues at all. It is not downtown, but quiet and easily driveable to center city. 더 보기

Most of the property has been renovated, but there still is work in progress on the exterior. The proximity to Miller Park is a huge bonus. The owners are very welcoming people. The neighborhood can be loud in the evening and is not an affluent area. Read all the reviews and make an informed decision.

Highly recommend giving this bed and breakfast a try. Wonderful people, neat old historic mansion.

The web description of this property neglects to advise that the immediate neighborhood is, at best, one in "hoped-for transition." Upon arriving, we were so concerned with the neighborhood and our safety that we advised that we would not stay...and we are both from NYC. As regards the B&B, it looks to be a nice Victorian, but, since we did not stay, […] we cannot comment about it, its rooms or its amenities. The Innkeepers indicated that, since we canceled the reservation, there would not be any refund, even though we had made the reservation the day before our stay and canceled due to safety concerns. Strongly suggest that you consult with someone familiar with Milwaukee neighborhoods, if considering a stay here. 더 보기

I had never stayed at a B&B before, so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasntly surprised! The hostess was more than accommodating, and very friendly. She dropped us off and picked us up from Miller Stadium for a very reasonable flat rate, and even brought breakfast/coffee to our room! My husband and I had never been fans of B&B's, but thought we'd give it another try. What a great surprise! The hosts were amazing, food excellent, room fantastic, service wonderful.

I'm so glad I check out the B&B option because I wasn't so impressed with the hotel options in Milwaukee. But I read the reviews and decided to take a chance on this B&B and I'm so glad I did. The owners were very accomodating, even picking us up and taking us to the Marcus Center to watch the Phantom (for a fee that was less than the taxi). I would recommend the Schuster Mansion to anyone attending a Brewers game. Miller Park is just a few blocks away and the keeper at the mansion will even drive you to the park and pick you up. You couldnt ask for a more accomidating bed & breakfast!

If your in the area you need to check this place out ! The hospitality was great and the accomodations were better than I ever could of imagined
