Generally a pleasant experience for the money. Staff is generally helpful and welcoming. Rooms can be noisy from almost endless streams of chatty passersby, mostly tourists, many students. Take good earplugs and you'll be fine. Complimentary breakfast is OK...coffee not great. For some reason phone calls from outside to my room never got through.

The hotel is perfectly located close to all the important sights. The room was good size. There was not enough light inthe room for reading at night. It can be noisy outside if the window is opened. Itwas a great experience overall and good breakfast too!

I stayed at the Betlem club for 3 nights last week, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Excellent location, being only a few minutes’ walk from all of the major sights and areas (Old town square, King Charles bridge, Wenceslas Square, Prague Castle etc.), and lots of restaurants and shops. One really nice thing is that while the hotel […] is very close to all the attractions, the square on which the hotel is located is actually very quiet and pleasant. You get the best of both! Close to everything but without all the noise and crowds. I really couldn’t imagine being based in a better spot. The hotel itself is very nice, quaint, and extremely clean and well-maintained by a very friendly and helpful staff. The included breakfast (served in a very cool stone basement room) was quite good, especially considering the price. I really wish the American chain hotels (where I spend about 150 nights a year) could learn to serve a breakfast of this quality, instead of the disgusting and inedible swill they try and pass off. There is but one caveat I’ll mention. I stayed in one of the attic rooms on the 4th floor, which for the record I really liked and thought was very cool, but there are some beams and low ceilings to consider if you are above about five feet seven in height. It is quite easy to bump your head if you’re not careful. So… If you’re tall and feel that you’ll be bothered by this, you may want to book a room on a lower floor. I’m six foot one, and I wasn’t bothered by it, but then again I do live in an attic with low ceilings, and I can’t stand up without hitting my head at work either, so perhaps I’m just accustomed to it! Our room internet would not work & the lights at the bedside would not work. We notified the desk clerk who offered to upgrade our room & we were moved to a suite with king sized bed & sofa. This was inconvenient as we had already unpacked & were settled in our original room. The internet connection was poor in the second room & we kept getting discontinued. […] This was disappointing as we wanted to watch a football game on the internet & were not able to. was with my wife on 29 dec 11 until 1 jan 12 at betlem club. very nice hotel, clean, comfortable, and 5 mins walk from city center. reasonable prices. very recommended.

Great location near Charles Bridge,and Metro,Hotel staff very helpful,I,had a single attic room,it was small,but ok for me,if you are over 5` 8" tall you might have a problem with the wood beams also the shower is wery small,breakfast was average,but Iwould use this Hotel again.

Our double room was spacious and with a great old fashion air about it. Like everything in this antique and illustrious part of Prague, the Betlem hotel gives you a sense of history though without cutting down on basics such as cleanliness and comfort. The breakfast was adequate, the only thing missing in our case, being black tea. Which is why my wife […] and I sneaked in a few tea bags of our own bought at a local supermarket. But what I think would appeal more than anything else to the average traveler visiting Prague is the locality of this hotel which is right next to the main attractions of the old town district including the Charles bridge and the main square. Without any doubt, I would summon Prague as the most beautiful city in the world with its medieval charm and stunning architecture. And so to be able to spend a part of our holidays there in the heart of it all as we did (and for such a decent price too) should be beyond anyone's wildest expectations! However, I must raise a warning about a few of the establishments in the adjoining area, or to be more specific, a huge beer bar called U Vejvodu where they try to rip off foreign customers by charging a supplementary tax along with a tip bringing the bill up by an extra staggering 40%! So beware if you're intending to take part in Prague's teeming night life! You get good value everywhere you go, but for certain, no one enjoys getting ripped off like that! 더 보기

The Betlem Club Hotel is a great little "crib" in the heart of everything you have ever wanted to see in Prague. It is no more than a 15 min walk to all the must see things in the city. The hotel is an unpretentious (decorating is a holdover from leaner times) facility that is well maintained with a pleasant and helpful staff. perfect location. 5 min to charles bridge or the center. quite street. easy access. friendly nice breakfast. they even have a pretty good FREE internet.

Very satisfied. The location is central to everything we wanted to see. Were able to walk to all the main attractions. Very nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast. If we ever return to Prague, this is where we will stay. Very enjoyable experience.

Nice little hotel with helpful and friendly staff. I stayed in an attic room and it is rather cramped but quaint and nice. I had wifi in my room, although it didn't work on the second day of my stay. English TV channels were unusual BBC 1 and 2, I think, no news channels and very poor reception. Can be noisy at night, not so much from the street but […] from other rooms as the doors close loudly. Location brilliant. There is a tesco on naradni street, three minute walk and charles bridge is only 7 minute walk maybe. Lots of restaurants and pubs all around. This is a moderately priced hotel in the heart of old Prague - but it isn't exactly convenient to any of the Prague metro stops. The best thing about the hotel is its location - just in the centre of town, close to everything a tourist would like to see. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful, I enjoyed my stay very much. Nothing luxurious, but clean and comfortable and nice.

Very convenient location close to all tourist attractions. Clean, comfortable room, bathroom good. Breakfast good. A little noise from people outside made me reach for my ear plugs when sleeping, Not the hotel´s fault though. Good value for money!

All in all, I was very happy with the Betlam Club. I have one serious complaint--the mattress was lumpy and old and needed replacing. And some of the staff were surly, but then again that's not uncommon in the service industry in Prague, and most of the staff were friendly. I was in a small garret room and liked it very much. The price was excellent, and the location is ideal. Good price, and it locates inside the old town. (just 5 min walk) Room is clean, staff is nice and helpful to provide any answer. The breakfast is okay, but dont expect it is 5 star quality, but at least it provides good quality.

Based purely on the reviews here, I took a chance and booked this hotel. I was not disappointed! This place was built in the mid 1400's and still has some of its old world charm. The rooms were quaint, clean and comfortable. There is a mini fridge if you need it. The bathroom was "European" but we managed just fine. Walk to most of the main attractions […] from this hotel and pass dozens of shops, bars, restaurants and patios along the way. Many churches and market stalls close at hand as well. A very nicely kept hotel on a quiet street. A short walking distance to all must-see places. Friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast buffet. Would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone. Not a luxury hotel but a very practical one, great value for the money.

the hotel is right next to Charles bridge and puts you very close to the main attractions of Prague. the staff is friendly, good breakfast. the room is very old and small though, and so is the tv. if you want just a place to sleep - it's a good place with great location.

Great Hotel. Perfect location to all the major sites. Old Town Square was about 8 minute walk to the clock and 10 minutes to the base of Wesenslas Square. ATM (GE Money) within 4 minutes along with major grocery and mall. (Tesco) 5 minutes to the tourist tram line 22. The hotel was great. We had an attic single room. It holds two people using two twin […] beds. The room was very clean. It had air conditioning which is only available on the 3rd and 4th floor in the attic. We loved the wooden beams throughout the room. The bathroom has been totally remodeled. Huge tub in our room with sprayer. The only thing that is sort of strange is that if you are a tall guy the ceiling slants at the toilet so you might have to hunch a little when you go. The A/C worked great. The room had two twin beds athough one is really a converted couch but it works fine. It had a desk, dresser, Armoire, TV, two nightstands, and a refrigerator. It did not have an alarm clock, but the front desk does wake up calls which we used everyday without fail. The window opens too if you want fresh air. Very nice little lobby outside of our room. The elevator was right in front of us too which was great. The hotel only has 22 rooms so it is very quiet. Very little outside noise except for an occasional loud passer by. Late at night very quiet. The hotel front desk staff was extremely friendly and they all speak a little, to completely fluent English. Most are fluent in English though. They have a free computer to share which we used frequently. We asked for a sewing kit and a bottle opener which they came up with quickly. If you needed to print something you just emailed it to them and they printed it for you for free. The breakfast in the cellar each day was great. Each day they had some type of eggs, deli meats, cheeses, sausage, lots of rolls, bread, pastries, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices, cereal, fruit, and some veggies. My husband and I loved our stay at the Betlem Club Hotel. Our room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The reception desk was always helpful and nice. The location is very convenient--near the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, and others. We're so glad we picked this place.

An older property, not luxurious, but clean & well- maintained, with an extremely pleasant & helpful staff. Safe location. Through e-mail they arranged a pick up at the airport for me & charged it to my room . Very convenient since upon arrival (evening), I did not have Czech "crowns". An outdoor cafe was right across the street from the hotel serving […] local food & beer. Staff were generous with their time to explain the free Prague map showing relative location of the hotel & local attractions. Within a few blocks walk, I found many useful businesses, like a Tesco grocery store with ATM, several cell phone stores, & a plethora of restaurants. Walking another direction, i had easy access to nearly every recommended tourist site. Internet access is available. Included breakfast was tasty. I was traveling alone. Cons: insignificant. not sure if hotel has a/c. I didn't need it in April. Wake up call was forgotten once. Room small, but I was rarely there! 더 보기

We got a good location and free breakfast for a good rate. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the room. The sheets were clean (though there was a noticeable tear in one), the towels were clean, the toilet and shower were clean, but the floors could have used a sweeping. It saw the housekeeping staff mopping in other rooms, so I am not sure […] if they did not make it up to our room or if they thought it looked clean enough and did not bother. This is the place to stay - I walked to Prague Castle, Old Town, and Josefov. Only a five minute walk to Old Town Square and Shopping area. Very old town feel and was close to many good restaurants. I now want to move to Prague! Desk clerk was very nice, helped me with my bag and I reserved a tiny attic room and was upgraded to a lower floor. AWESOME! […] GREAT LOCATION! Very old town feel. the hotel was wonderful and the staff very helpful. the location was perfect, as it is in the center, but in a lovely quiet area. i will happily stay here again.

We loved the location and the staff spoke very good English which was helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast was above average. If they could up date the furniture and improve the beds it would be an even better place to stay.

The Betlem Club has a great location. Our room was located on the second floor, and unfortunately the hotel did not have AC during a European heat wave in July. With the windows open we enjoyed hearing (in order) the returning partiers, arguing late partiers, garbage trucks, and dragging around of cafe tables. (At least we got an early start on enjoying […] the fabulous city!) The electric pooped out in half of our room the last night. Close to old town and its charm. Walking distance to all, Charles Bridge....

The location was excellent, the room was fine, and the breakfast (included) was ample and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. but there was a lot of noise from late-night revellers at a couple of nearby establishments. That might not bother you, but if you're definitely looking for a quiet night, maybe the Old Town is not the place for you.
