-호텔 바닥이 시멘트 바닥처럼 회색이라 조금 당혹스러웠으나 며칠 묶으니 적응되서 괜찮았음. 서비스는 괜찮은 편이며, 조식은 매일 조금씩 바뀌어서 나오는 편임 일주일동안 머물렀지만 조식에 질리지 않을 정도였으며, 호텔은 약간 언덕진 곳에 있어서 그거 빼고는 다 좋았음. 다음에는 슈가팜호텔에 머물까 생각중임. 걸어서 10분이면 까따 비치와 번화가 모두 근접. 까따 썽태우 종점에서 썽태우타고 까론비치, 푸켓타운 등을 갈 수 있음 1인 25-30밧내외임. 슈가팜 계열 호텔 투숙객은 말리 레스토랑 10% 할인됨. 여기 음식도 나쁘지 않음. 특히 디저트가 환상적임.

위치에 비해 저렴한 가격이라 선택했는데 상점 있는 언덕까지 좀 올라가야 하고 호텔안에서도 언덕을 한번 올라가야 해서.. 애들 없이 와서 다행이다 했습니다. 직원들은 친절한 편이라 올라가는 게 눈에 띄면 버기를 태워 주더군요 ㅎㅎ 수영장은 한가하니 좋았구요, 조식은 안먹어서 패스. 객실은 깔끔하고 비품 등이 그래도 고급스러워서 좋았습니다.

호텔 그 자체는 사진보다 낫습니다. 얼마나 드문 경우 입니까? 미니멀리즘 혹은 현대 장식의 팬이라면 호텔 전반적 디자인에 감사할 것입니다. 많은 식당, 상점, 마사지 가게 거리를 따라 있는 슬로프에 위치해 있습니다. 슬로프는 다루기 쉽긴 하나 첫번째 주차장 이후는 그렇지 않습니다. 거기에서 로비까지는 경사가 깊습니다. 승강기를 타기 전(터치 스크린!) 로비까지 첫 주차장의 먼 쪽의 계단으로 가기를 추천해 드립니다. 우리는 10층에 있는 그럴만한 가격의 고층 수영장이 있는 곳에 머물렀습니다. 그 층의 수영장은 객실 3개에 의해 공유되어졌습니다. 11층은 객실 2개가 공유합니다. 둘 다 갑판 의자가 밖에 있습니다. 전체 전망을 […] 볼 수 있는 12층 고층 수영장은 6개 객실이 공유합니다.(객실 접근을 위해 개인 층만 가능하고 공용 갑판 의자는 없음)그것 위의 최상층은 13층 입니다. 최상층은 쉽게 접근할 수 없습니다. 우리는 일층 승강기로 4층까지 갔고 통로를 지나 2층 승강기로 걸어갔는데 9층으로 연결되었습니다. 거기에서 9층 위로 어느 층이든지 슬로프로 걸어가야만 합니다. 하지만 우리는 전혀 상관하지 않았습니다. 객실은 과도하게 사용한 시멘트, 유리와 목재로 도시 미니멀리스트 장식으로 되어있는데 가치가 있습니다. 공간이 무척 넓고 3개의 거울, 2개의 싱크, XL 욕조, 큰 샤워와 깨끗한 화장실이 있었습니다. 침대는 아주 편안하고 풀 사이즈 냉장고, 금고 박스 와 우산, 헤어드라이어와 보온병이 있었습니다. 그런 굉장한 시설과 더불어 32인치 벽걸이형 삼성 LCD가 DVD 플레이어와 함께 있었고 tv에 Mac mini가 연결되어 있었습니다. 무료 WIFI긴 한데 보통 속도입니다. 예약을 했다면 발코니는 수영장으로 가는 길이 있고 대부분의 시간을 보낼 정도로 신선하나 아래 철재 계단은 녹조류 성장을 제거 할 필요가 있습니다. 전반적으로 객실에 아주 만족합니다. 주 수영장은 바가 있고 몇몇 주간 침대와 갑판이 있으며 푸른 카펫 잔디가 잘 보존되어 있습니다. kata 지역이 잘 보이나 해변은 보이지 않습니다. 잔여 소음, 차와 자전거, 나머지 일산화탄소를 원하지 않는 다면 즐거워 할 것입니다. 더 보기

벨보이는 호텔에 도착했을 첫 날에 짐을 옮기도록 도와 주었습니다. 심지어 팁을 줄때까지 기다렸습니다. 하지만 떠날 때 내가 팁을 다시 줄거라고 생각하지 않았는지 짐 옮기는 것을 도와 주지 않았습니다. 위치는 Kata 해변과 식당으로 몇 분 도보 거리입니다. 그 층은 약간 특별한데 그렇게 깨끗하다는 느낌을 주지는 않았습니다. 부드러운 침대와 거대한 욕조가 좋았습니다. 수영장 전망은 훌륭했고 쉬기위해 모든 사람이 수영장에서 시간을 보냈습니다. 푸켓으로 다시 돌아 온다면 꼭 다시 머물 것입니다.

Spa customer service is excellent, the receptionist actually willing to work overtime when i have changed my appointment beyond their operation hour. Our family would not recommend staying at the Sugar Palm Grand Hillside. The hotel staff was not very friendly (laughing or seemingly annoyed at questions), the pool looked rundown, and our sheets had holes. Additionally, the location is up a very steep hill; and to get to the room, we had to use two different elevators and walk up a short, steep hill. […] This made leaving and coming back to the hotel very cumbersome. Finally, we were put off by a mandatory charge for a New Year's dinner that we had no intention of attending. Room was large,well equipped and we even had water glimpses but no direct pool access. Breakfast was good and generally the staff were pleasant. Our airconditioner worked flat out to keep the room cool (at 25c). Fortunately we were given a separate card to keep it running while we were out. Our main problem was in trying to negotiate the continuous […] up and down flights to get to our room or a pool; One pool was almost touchable by stepping off our balcony but to get to it we had to walk up 1+ ramp then down 2+ flight of steps. The main pool was on about level 2 but you had to walk up 2+ flights from ground then down 1 to get to it or down 3 flight from level 6. The lifts did not go to blocks 2,3 or 4. They were further up the hill and the ramps were steep and uncomfortable to walk on and not sheltered. I would not stay here if you had any mobility issues whatsoever, including having young children with you. Even from block one, you cannot easily access the pools. There is a 35 degree slope leading to the hotel lobby which may be quite difficult to navigate when the road is wet. stay at a Grand Jacuzzi Deluxe. If you do not want to take the lift, you can either walk up the slope by the side or the stairs leading to those pools in the middle. There is one restaurant at the resort next to the lobby which serves breakfast only, but you can order room service at other time. The room was in minimalist decor with heavily used of cement, glass and wood and quite spacious with clean toilet. Amenities include a fridge, safety box, umbrella, hairdryer & hot flask, bathrobe, room slipper and croc shoe, LCD TV with DVD player. Free wifi. Balcony comes with 2 chairs, a table and a Jacuzzi tub. One thing no good is that the balcony is facing a construction site and minimum sea view. Another is that the Jacuzzi tub is quite exposed with the glass walled balcony. They should have some rattan blind installed there for privacy and also block the afternoon sun at the balcony. The service staffs don’t talk much but I guess they are shy as they do not speak good English. Outside the main road, you can find shops selling tour package, groceries, roadside stalls, massage, convenience store for beer and drinks, restaurants, souvenirs and fake t-shirts, car and bike rental, etc. it about 5 minutes walk to the beach. 더 보기

The hotel is in a great location, a 5 min walk to the beach and neighboring restaurants. Free wifi was awesome too! The staff is super and arranged last minute transportation for us. The rooms as super tiny, especially for 2 :( bathroom really small. Mattress was extremely hard and views are nothing exciting. But nice spot for a reasonable price.

This hotel is in a great location, however it is on a hill and there is a steep trek back to the hotel from the beach. Kata beach is beautiful! There are many unfortunate things about this hotel however. To begin, the staff is horribly unfriendly and barely speak English. No one is remotely helpful, even with your luggage! The pool access room balconies are shared between 3 rooms - kinda scary! Then I moved up to the 6th floor (after taking 2 seperate lifts) and the ocean view is a joke. I could barely see the water! Certainly could not see the beach! The wifi continually cut in and out and the connection was awful. The tv had 8 stations, 2 of which were English speaking. My friend met me at the dining area for coffee and we were hounded by 4 different staff members for payment for her cup of coffee. What a pain!! I was planning on paying for her coffee! Then I got charged for making 2 local calls after the front desk told me how to make the calls and that there would be no charge. When I checked out of the hotel, the hotel clerk came running to the car I was in on my way to the airport it tell me I had to pay for the phone charge - after I checked out!! The food was not pleasant, especially with the flies buzzing on everything! Gross! There was construction going on as well which added to the discomfort of trying to get some rest. We had a very pleasant stay at Sugar Palm Grand Hillside. Great being high on the hillside with views and good pools. Nice big room and spacious bathroom. Very good covered deck area. Well sound proofed and no noise from neighbours. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definately stay here again and would recommend to others.

Very happy with the friendly staff and clean simple rooms. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Kata beach. Has many pools (11 i think) with a swim up bar. Hotel is a short stroll to the beach ( one of the quieter one in Phuket). Breakfast was a buffet and had everything from ceral to hot food ( Nice).

Sugar Palm Grand is extremely well located just up from the main Kata restaurant strip and beach. The hill is manageable- just ask for a room on the second or third levels on the left hand side of the resort viewed from the lobby. There are two lifts due to the hillside location. The first is for 4 floors. The second is around 75 metres walk ( flat) […] and covers another 6 levels. The last 3 floors are reached via several 30 metre, 30 degree angled concrete walkways and basically for the young and fit guests. Rooms here have great views as they are at the top of the resort. Anyone up to 80 years of age can navigate the lower and medium levels( 10 or so) serviced by the two lifts. The breakfast is good and extremely good value.The rooms are cleaned very efficiently and the staff are pleasant and helpful. This is the best value for money hotel in this part of Phuket. Room service charges for drinks and food are very low and great value. As a recommendation to the management, maintenance of room fittings like taps and toilet holders etc should be actioned soonest as our room had several loose fittings in the toilet and bathroom/basin areas. External concrete facings were in need of painting and rendering repairs due to the high level of salt air corrosion. Overall we could not fault our stay with lobby access to 4 computers free of charge plus free room wifi. Next year we will spend at least 2 weeks at SPG rather than 8 days this trip. 더 보기

After reading several reviews of the hotel online, we were all a bit skeptical. Traveling as a group of 6 we booked 3 rooms, all of which had a breath taking view of the island, and were all located close to clean swimming pools. We stayed for 9 days and the walk up to the hotel from the beach wasn't at all bad. The staff were extremely helpful, the […] rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. We were provided with guides to Phuket's attractions. There's a great cheap and satisfying restaurant right across from the hotel with both Thai and foreign foods. The hotel is no more than a 5 minute walk from a 24 hour 7/eleven, and other seafood and pizza restaurant. The beach is one of the nicest on the island, hassle free, clean and child friendly. The hotel satisfied us all greatly, and we can't wait to go back. Superb value for money. 더 보기

Great location in a quieter part of Phuket - Kata - and the taxi driver from the airport knew the hotel exactly with no issues. Located on a hillside, overlooking all of the bay and beach area which is just two minutes walk away, and a restaurant, laundry and (legitimate) massage just outside the front door. The room caught me by surprise initially, […] as the whole thing seems to have been hewn from a solid block of concrete, including the floors and all of the bathroom hardware. But in fact, it makes sense of course, no carpet to get sandy and wet, and no tiles too get slippery underfoot. Very comfortable kingsize bed, and cleaned impeccably everyday by trustworthy and friendly staff. Reception can organise car/motorbike hire for you at competitive rates. The infinity pools(s) are lovely, and the barman seems to know his stuff too. We really enjoyed our time here! Things started off a little rocky, as our taxi driver refused to drive us up the steep hill to get to it. More just laziness on his part. But when we checked in to our room, we were hit with a musty airconditioner smell that was quite bad (although isolated to this room only). We asked to change rooms, to which they […] said they would send the "engineer" to fix. A knock at the door revealed what must have been a 16 yr old with a can of room spray and a ladder. Kid unloads the whole can in the A/C unit and says it's fixed....Couldn't help it but laugh, and think to ourselves this is really "Thai" style! We changed rooms after that without any problems and were upgraded to a room with private pool access which was amazing!!! Fantastic views, really nice staff, and super clean rooms. Really comfortable beds, flat screen TV's, in room coffee and tea and safe. Wish we could've stayed longer than a week! Restaurant is pricey, altough there is a fantastic restaurant directly accross the street (soi) where there are some of the cheapest prices (65 baht) for Thai food in all of Kata (which can be expensive) with great sized portions and excellent service. Some reviews we read before going said the hills are quite steep at this resort, and they are, but if you are at all able bodied (no disabilities), they are manageable and it's well worth it to stay here. They also have extremely friendly and helpful bellhops to help with your luggage, and they can give you rides in the golfcarts they use for transporting luggage. Fantastic hotel. Perfect location. Very trendy hotel , very stylish. Even the elevators were touch driven. Had apple macs in each room , very stylish rooms - with big glass bathrooms .
