Date of stay, June,2-5,14. My understanding was it was A/C,NOT. No ceiling fan. However, room was cool at the time of our stay. View from balcony short street straight to Plaza. Room was clean, basic. TV only on in Spanish. Check in people only spoke Spanish. Many eating places and shops. Met with free walking tour in Plaza at 10:45. We stayed at the Hostal Castilla II for 2 nights in late September. It is a good location and we found it fairly easily. It was clean and the staff was very helpful.

Great location, one block from Puerta del Sol and the metro, two blocks from Plaza Mayor. Room 52 was a nice interior room and was very quiet - no street noise. With Madrid map and a query to pedestrian, hotel was easy to find. Building looks typical in city but modern inside. Location is very convenient and very safe. Very clean and orderly room and private bath. My room was in the 2nd floor fronting the street and was very quiet and gave me relaxation and a good sleep. Checkin and checkout were fast. Some of the staff were helpful, most however weren't. You can't really ask them for help, directions or general information, as they refuse to speak English. The hotel itself is good. The location is lovely, the rooms are tidy.

Great value for location. Overall no complaints only need to carry luggage up 1 flight of stairs and for older folks the entrance door is very heavy and hard to push. Very clean, spotless and again great for the price.

l'albergo mi ha subito sorpreso per ordine, pulizia e posizione (in pieno centro). E' fornito di wi-fi, il personale si è mostrato disponibile (ci hanno perfino chiamato il taxi), l'ambiente è caldo e gli spazi non sono affatto angusti. Lo consiglio caldamente

Wij zaten de eerste nacht in Hostal Castilla II vier hoog aan de straatkant. Zelfs met de ramen dicht was het nog een herrie. Ook de verlichting (overal spaarlampen) was niet gezellig. Op ons verzoek kregen we voor de volgende 3 nachten een rustiger kamer aan een binnenplaats (aan de overkant in Hostal Castilla III). Hotellet ligger meget centralt i forhold til både metro, shopping og seværdigheder. Værelset som sådan var ok, når man bare skulle sove der, til gengald var badeværelset meget rent og pænt, ligesom der blev skiftet håndklæder hver dag. Grundsätzlich waren wir zufrieden. Die Lage des Hotels ist super!! Die Zimmer sind aber ziemlich klein. Solange man nur dort übernachtet, aber zweckmässig. Wir hatten das Zimmer direkt hinter der Reception und hörten während der ganzen Nacht den Fernseher und die Türklingel. Auch alle Gäste, die spätabends heimkamen, raubten uns den Schlaf.

Pour une fois je me suis basé sur les avis des voyageurs et je m'en réjouis. Facile à rejoindre depuis l'aéroport, l'hôtel ne peut être mieux situé. Accueil sympa, chambres nickel. Juste prévoir en frais annexes des..... boules quies ! Rançon de l'excellent emplacement et de l'ambiance de Madrid.J'y retournerai et le conseillerai. Merci.

De locatie is bijzonder goed, zo midden in het centrum en vlakbij een metro station! De kamer was netjes en schoon , bedden waren erg goed. We kunnen het hotel iedereen aanraden.

No sé cómo será el estado del resto de las habitaciones, pero en la planta alta, donde yo me quedé, hay unas habitaciones reformadas que están a la altura de un chick and basic o similar. Totalmente reformado, oliendo a nuevo, tele plana en la pared, aire acondicionado, etc... TODO MUY BIEN

Var glad for mit ophold på hotellet, som dog ikke har morgenmad eller på anden måde spisested. Dog gør dette ikke noget da byen er fyldt med gode spisesteder. Værelset var pænt og tæt på ny istandsat. Man skal dog være opmærksom på at der kommer en del støj fra gangen og naboer. Derfor kan et par øreprobber anbefales til om aften. Jeg havde lidt problemer […] i starten med deres WiFi signal. Værten der kun kunne tale spansk, virkede ikke til at forstå, andet end at han "syntes" at det virkede fint. We stayed at the Castilla II for 3 days. If you're looking for a nice breakfast buffet and a swimming pool you won't find it here - But - for the cheap price you pay you get a good room, superb location and well working WI-FI.

Halvimmasta päästä. Aina kun alaovi oli auki niin poliisi oli vartioimassa rappua. Aulassa oli tietokone, wlania en saanut toimimaan, koska kuuluvuus oli huoneeseen heikko. Melun kuuluvuus huoneeseen oli välillä hieman ikävää. Tallelokero maksaa kolikon per lukitus ja avaus. Sänky ei ollut pehmeä, mutta pienessä laitamyötäisessä nukahtaminen onnistui […] nopeammin kuin omassa sängyssä. Lähellä aamupalapaikka josta sai tuotteita eurolla, nimeä en tietenkään muista. Suurin osa kahviloista Suomen hintatasoa. Metrolla pääsee tosi lähelle. Pari päivää täällä viettää kivasti. Enemmän haluavalle suosittelen jotain muuta paikkaa. Siisti, mutta vaatimaton. Mycket prisvärt hotell med fantastiskt läge i östra delen av gamla stan. Endast en och en halv minut från tunnelbanan (Sol). Vårt rum var nyrenoverat och hela hotellet är extremt rent. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell.

Eierne og resepsjonistene på hostellet var veldig hyggelige, rommet var helt greit med eget bad, balkong og utlån av hårføner på forespørsel. et rimelig og fint alternativ som lå rett på puerta del sol! vi var storfornøyde!

La chambre pour trois personnes était toute petite, fenêtre donnait sur une cour comme il y en a beaucoup en Espagne, heureusement nous avons dormi fenêtre fermée il faisait froid. L'accueil a été sympathique avec un jeune homme qui essayait de parler français. La literie n'est pas terrible mais dans d'autres hêtels c'est pareil.
