It's a pleasant stay in this hotel. Service is good, room is very clean. It's located in the heart of the city, convenient to many of the main tourist attractions and there is a subway nearby. it is highly recommended.

Modern room, clean, good size room, great value for the money.

Hotel is fairly standard, nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Rooms are small and there is nothing special or exciting about the hotel in general. The biggest positive is the location, only 10 minute walk to some of the largest sites. If you are like us and just need a clean place to sleep and shower then this is a good place for you.

Fantastic hotel, we got a great deal on a superior room and it was amazing! The views were great and the overall room cleanliness was also top notch! It's in a very nice area, with lots of nice restaurants and is walking distance from a lot of the common tourist sites, including Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg gate. While the room was clean and newly renovated it was not furnished with a wardrope big enough to contain a suit without problems. while the very small wardrope had nice hangers, using them for the jacket made it impossible to close the wardrope's door, while the limited space didn't allow the jacket to be hung but it was compressed and crumpled at the […] bottom. With two suits the space was already exhausted - no space remainig for shirts; no shelf big enough to store falted shirts. No possibility at all in the room to hang a cloak. That seems to me to be not acceptable for business trips at all. Friendly service is not a substitude for poor comfort. 더 보기

An excellent location in walking distance of almost all major sites in the Berlin east-west 'old' border region; Gendarmenmarkt, Brandenberg Gate, Beirgardten, Reichstag, Sony Centre building complex, Berlin Philharmonic Halls, Checkpoint Charlie (and museum), some of the few standing remains of the Berlin wall, Holocaust memorial and underground stations […] (for wider travel etc we did a day trip by rail to Postdam to see the Imperial Palaces). Berlin sightseeing bus tours leave from Gendarmenmarkt so very handy - I'd recommend taking one of these to get the 'lie of the land'. Those that like retail therapy will enjoy the plethora of fashion label shops, jewellers and luxury car outlets along the main streets. Plenty of restaurants close by (or dine in the hotel) - we didn't eat one meal in the hotel in 5 days so cannot comment on the standard of the meals - all our meals were spent trying the different close by restaurants . Room size OK for two but no coffee/tea making facilities. The reception / bar area is small and it is easier to 'go down the road' if it is busy. Double glazing ensures a warm, quite evening conducive to sleep as the Leipzig Strasse and Charlotten Strasse can be busy streets. Bathroom is on the small side but serves its purpose. Hotel has interesting architecture - a rhombahedral tower inside a square tower, somewhat uninspiring from the outside (as are many Berlin 'boxes'). If you want to spend all day in the hotel then this isn't the place for you , if you want a comfortable, central spot in walking distance of the Berlin sites then The Winter's Hotel Gendarmenmarkt will fit the purpose. 더 보기

This hotel was in a good location close to the Stadtmitte U-Bahn stationm, and provided excellent value. Only downsides were that there was not a laundromat open late nearby, and that to some people the room would appear sterile (white/modern). Only stayed here one night but we loved the room. We had a corner room so it had a great view and there was so much to see within just a few minutes walk. (about a 5 min walk to Check Point Charlie). The hotel is conveniently located in central of Berlin - Mitte area. Easy to access to all major attractions. Hotel rooms are clean and new. Overall, an excellent stay for the price i paid and will definitely choose Winter's hotel if i'm visiting Berlin again.

This hotel is in a great location, has very nice rooms, and has a great price. However, don't ask for anything more. WIFI and breakfast are extra (and expensive). Laundry service is very expensive. But if all you need are the basics, this is a very good choice. Have stayed in many hotels in Berlin and this is not a 4 star hotel. Room was small and shower was in the middle of the room, although it was very clean. There are some amazing 4 star hotels in Berlin that I have stayed in and would recommend them before this hotel.

This hotel was perfect, the staff were polite, professional, the rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, and the toilets and shower are very nice. My only complaint was the pillow, it was at the end of it's days, more like a loose bag of fluff than a pillow. Good location-close to sights and public transporation. The hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was wonderful . The room was comfortable and clean. Just back from a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Excellent location, near all the main sights and across from the most traditional Christmas market. Stylish and comfortable hotel in a great central location.

The hotel is some kind of "German style formula 1 hotel" - room is super small, but very clean and price is not expensive. Location is perfect and I would recommend it to others if only they would have some better arrangement with internet. When people are coming to work, it is not convenient and too expensive to pay 2 euro for 30 minutes... Happened to be there for the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall... if not for that and the accompanying festival, would not recommend Berlin as a leisure travel destination. Modern, dirty, boring. However, the hotel was very sharp, clean and with modern decor. Shower didnt have a full curtain and water got everywhere on the floor. This was a great location to see everything note worthy in Berlin. 5 min walk to check point charlie, 15 in walk to the stadtmitte and 2 min walk to the U-bahn. Not a big fan on the shower in the room and the toilet seperated. Very modern and loved the look and feel except for the bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Best I have seen […] so far in Germany and I travel a lot in Germany. Parking is an extra cost and kind of expenisve, parking lot is inside and secure never worried once. Hotel is in great location - walking distance to lots of the main sights. A few draw backs - one is that rooms are small (not a big problem as spent very little time there as lots to do); air con not working when we were there. It's a nice hotel. Nice location - Very close to metro U Bahn, convenience stores, shops....affordable price. But there's one stupid thing and it's a suggestion they can easily improve - hooks to hang clothes and towels! The closet is very small. Not enough space for 2 people's clothes. Nice and helpful staff - Rooms are fairly small though and not very practical -Only problems we had was the air conditionning. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt für einen Städtetrip. Checkpoint Charly, Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburgertor und Unter den Linden sind gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Auch die U/S-Bahn liegt gleich um die Ecke. Wir haben ein Standardzimmer gebucht. Dieses war sehr klein mit Blick auf die sehr laute Leipziger Strasse! Insgesamt waren wir zufrieden. Die Zimmer sind modern, etwas minimalistisch eingerichtet und daher sehr knapp bemessen. Trotz der sehr gut isolierten modernen Fenster war unser Zimmer (zur Leipziger Straße gelegen) laut. Nach einem Wechsel war alles sehr angenehm. Sehr freundliches Personal.
