We had a lovely time! The hotel was in a good part of town and only a 10-15 minute walk to some must-see sights. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. If you are planning a family holiday, then this is an ideal hotel and location. It's not too far from the local convenience store and good restaurants and cafe's. Dont expect concierge service and you will be happy with the value this hotel provides

extra taxes for each person one friend stayed with us we had to pay an aditional 1280dh for 6 days extra person charge they kept checking how many people were sleeping in each room the pool was so small

beautifull hotel.in quite residential part..yet close to every where.the i loved the room most.i would defenitly.go back again.

Enjoyed our stay at the Novotel - room was large, modern and had fridge, microwave etc. Excellent location sited between the old and the new towns which made access really easy (10/15 minute walk in either direction). Good breakfast provided with plenty of choice. Staff very helpful and did speak some English. Coffee and tea making facilities in room […] but only minimal coffee, tea and milk supplied. Not a problem as we always go prepared and took some with us from home and bought some milk to keep in the fridge from Carrefore's which is just up the road from the hotel. Hotel not far from Airport but had to haggle to reduce taxi fare from an initial 200 Dh to 100 Dh - return journey we got for 80 Dh. 더 보기

We stayed here for New Years and what an experience! The area is a very nice part of town and the hotel is in great condition. We had a large room each with a balcony and view of the Atlas mountains in the distance, and luxury cars doing laps out the front of the hotel. The pool closes at 7 pm which would really be a problem in summer, but on the plus […] side there is a bus stop out the front of the hotel for the tourist bus. That's where the good experience ended. The staff (except the manager) were all very rude (even to the manager!). We were lied to and given false directions to two local shops to buy ice as the hotel would not supply us any for our drinks (turns out there are no shops in the area). On our return an hour later the staff said we would have a glass of ice (for the three of us) and left us waiting in the bar for 20 minutes - for this reason we were not drinking at the bar! When the manager finally came over and happily gave us ice, one of the rude women at reception came over and berrated her in front of us about supplying us with ice. I did not have to speak french to know what she was saying! Do not get laundry done with the hotel as it takes twice as long as they say - we were left waiting for my husbands clothes so we could go out for dinner the evening of New Year! Find a shop to get drinks, snacks and ice cream, when you are out adventuring as getting a staff member to open the vending machine for you is the biggest inconvenience for them. The Suite Novotel Marrakech has the worst staff i have encountered - ever! They give really really really poor service, have a poor attitude to non-locals, and I am sure you could find somewhere else more welcoming! I am mad I paid in advance as after our the way we were i would not have paid! 더 보기

As the weather was cold and grey in Germany, we decided to get away and escape to Marrakech for some dry and sunny weather. Marrakech lies in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and is brimming with luxurious and well-priced holiday hotels and adventures. Really loved this place. Free wifi. Excellent breakfast with a lovely pool. Rooms were a little dark but extremely comfortable. Supermarket with a 10 min walk away and about 20 mins into the square. Rooms were quiet and bed extremely comfortable.

This hotel is great. It is in a nice/clean part of town next to other major hotels. And is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the main square. I got non-refundable rooms so the room rate was very good. The rooms were larger than i expected and the TV was great (lots of free tv and movies). I also got a balcony on the 5th floor overlooking the roundabout so […] the view was nice. Stayed here 3 nights and was happy with the overall standard of the hotel and service. As with everywhere in Marrakech if you don't speak French you might struggle, altough reception staff spoke some english. Good location, had view on road side which we enjoyed as it looked out on the fountain and across to the Sofitel, where l used their ATM. A fantastic hotel, great rooms for both size and amenities. The staff are friendly, the pool area is perfect and the location is ideal. A short walk to a Carrefour supermarket to keep your fridge stocked with fruit, drinks, crisps, milkshakes etc which helps keep the costs down. Breakfast is fairly basic but more than enough to last your. Coffee is […] a bottomless pot and is available from 7:30 until 11am so you can even help yourself whilst sat around the pool in the morning. Fruit Salad and Melon also available with your breakfast. Cleaning is superb and bedding is changed every day along with towels and a good clean and vacuum clean. We stayed 10 days and really treated it as a little flat. The suitebox allows you to watch films (approx 40-50 built in from kids films to action films), send emails, watch news channels and browse the internet. The hotel has free wifi throughout that is 10 times faster than my connection in the UK which was very impressive. For the money, I think you would struggle to do much better than this in Marrakech. 더 보기

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Had a great stay there..good clean room with good facilities. Location was good too.. We walked to the square and also to gueliz from the hotel (but then we are not afraid of walking a few miles!). The only downside was that our room was directly above the bar and the music woke me up after our first night […] there. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Being Brits, sliced bread at breakfast time would also be great. Fresh croissant and pain au chocolate are nice but breakfast gets a bit boring. 더 보기

Cannot fault this place. Clean well maintained and comfortable with pleasant staff. If any criticism it would be that the breakfast is limited in choice and no variety. No hot food but it is advertised as being continental style. Not far from anywhere you want to go and never paid any more than 20 dirhams for taxi with the minimum of haggling apart […] from airport which was 100. WiFi works everywhere including the rooms which in many hotels it does not. No doubt if you want to you could have dug deeper and found faults but at the price offered it represents good value for money. Beware though of some tourists putting out towels first thing in the morning on the sun beds and then not using them till late afternoon. Hotel should deal with this by removing them from beds which are obviously not in use. 더 보기

great hotel, high quality rooms with working microwave, kettle and television, although it does run a bit slow when using the internet and it will occasionally stutter when watching movies all of which is free, although this might just be the tv in our room. most of the staff great and willing to help you which led to occasional tipping. although one […] or two of the reception staff where rude although this might be becuase we were english, rest of the hotel staff were great. pool and poolside were in good condition, pool too cold though. breakfast was continental although would have preferred a better selection of hot food i.e. fried eggs and bacon. although it is a muslim country so obviously they wont have pork. bar too expensive - should be cheaper! 400 dirhams for a bottle of red wine which is around 30 pound sterling. location is great just down the round from the medinah and up the road from a supermarket. overall i would give it a 9/10 Well Done Suite Novotel! 더 보기

Me and my family spent 7 nights here.The hotel service itself was excellent however few points of concern.With younger children it may seem a bit off trek back and fourth to the main square around 10-15 mins .Usually a taxi ride is around 50 dirhams one way to the square.Also if you book into this hotel better that you include breakfast as there is […] no place close by to go for breakfast.There are reataurants around but you have more options around the square and more reasonably priced.The only other concern we had was there was no close mosques for prayer. 더 보기

Great location, good facilities, helpful staff, nice breakfast and comfortable rooms all for very good value for money. Apart from a small hitch with getting a towel (took a good hour to arrive) our stay was perfect. We would go back for sure.

Nice comfortable hotel, good service for a family holidays. Only issue with our stay was that the bathroom basin was blocked and they never got rond to fixing it after telling them 4 times. Good if you have kids or on a business trip, free high speed wifi and Internet connection in your room, free local calls and free latest movies. Breakfast a bit […] basic. Room also have a fridge and microwave for the basic, really usefull if you have kids. No locks on the toilet or bathroom doors. 더 보기

We much have stayed in around 7 dfferrent hotels in our trip around Morocco and this was the absolute highlight. Great rooms, clean, well located and good value for money. Nice breakfasts too.

The hotel has a great location for those who want to escape the Medina's chaos. It's around a 15 - 20 minute walk to Djamaa El Fna through a nice area. I felt safe doing this walk at any time and to be honest it seemed quicker to walk than barter with the taxi drivers It's also only a 15 minute walk to Gueliz (the new town). The hotel itself is a typical […] western style hotel so you won't get the 'authentic' Morrocan experience offered by the Riads, but sometimes it's nice to have a haven. The rooms are a good size and clean. They have a decent selection of TV channels including French, English, German, Arabic, Spanish and Italian. I think, weirdly, there was also a Brazilian one in there! Internet radio, web access, a music selection and films are also available through the TV for no charge. There's also Wifi throughout the hotel though I had some reception problems in my room. Breakfast was decent, mainly comprising the usual croissants / chocolate croissants / rolls, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats and cheeses. I think there were also a couple of cereals on offer as well. The pool area is quite pleasant with the usual array of tables, chairs and loungers. It got the sun over most of it until around 4 or 5pm whilst I was there. I have to admit to not spending a lot of time out there though. The hotel is not exactly Marrakech's hot nightspot and the bar was pretty much deserted most of the time, though they did have a reasonable selection if you did want anything, including a pretty decent Morrocan beer on draught. As others have said though there are quite a few other hotels with bars in the area and also a couple of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. I didn't use either though. Comptoir (which crops up in quite a few of the guides) is very close too. You also get use of their car for 4 hours or so if you stay 4 nights or more, although you're braver than me if you decide to take up the offer! This is a very nice hotel, it would be advantageous if you could speak french as most of the staff knew very little english...but we did manage to communicate one way or the other. Breakfast in the morning was continental, very tasty and filling. The house cleaning staff where brilliant, towels were changed everyday, and room cleaned. Quite near to the city centre . Make sure you have your own shampoo and shower gel. For the uk standard , I would give it 3 stars.

My partner and i stayed at suite novotel marrakech this januar(2011) and we were both very pleased with the hotel and the room. We had the luxury of having both shower and bathtub, which is great. If I am gonna be picky I would recommend u get a room facing the back of the hotel, ours was towards the street that was quite busy both day and nite, hence […] noisy and smelly from car fumes. But it was no big problem. Very nice neighborhood, and short walk to medina and djemaa el fna, as well as to Gueliz new town. 더 보기

This hotel, known locally as the Suite Hotel, is a very nice establishment. The staff were very friendly, answered every random question we could throw at them, and spoke English to at least a decent standard, if not perfect. The rooms were great, with a nicely laid out design, making it feel very spacious. It also has a free in-room entertainment […] system, with free internet, free movies (a reasonable selection of current titles), lots of TV channels (only BBC World from the UK though) and Web Radio, so you can listen to BBC Radio at any time (amongst other stations). The rooms are also clean. It is in a reasonable area - there seem to be police permanently stationed outside, but then the police presence is noticeable throughout the New Town. Taxis are easy to obtain outside the hotel, but because it is an area with expensive hotels in, you will not get a particularly cheap rate. The open top sightseeing bus stops outside and runs every 20-30 mins, though (there is no bus stop, you just have to know!). Basically, a very nice contemporary, Western European style hotel in a lovely nice setting. Stay here! 더 보기

Well located in the upmaket L'Hivernage district and just 10 minutes walk from the Medina, Suite Novotel is an ideal base for visitors particularly those with young children. Comfortable rooms are well equipped with bath + shower, microwave + fridge, free internet access on TV (keyboard is fiddly), free recent movies in English and many music albums. […] Buffet breakfast from 7 to 11am is chaotic with not enough tables inside for everyone. Not much room to lounge around the pool either and the building blocks the sun a lot. After a couldn't care less attitude by the reception staff who seemed totally indifferent we were pleasantly suprised with the Marrakech Experience. Hotel was very clean, room spacious and facilities very good. Breakfast was well worth having in the hotel, plentiful and varied although very similar each day (although that is the same wherever you go […] of course). The food available to buy in vending machines in the hotel was over priced and not exactly amazing so ensure you pack items or purchase from the little stores around old town.Hotel is mid way between Old and New Marrakech on a non too busy street which suited us perfectly. We had the option of walk to the Medina (about 20 mins), a taxi, pony and trap(haggle on cost) or the open topped tour bus straight outside. Try to take longer than 2 nights to visit Marrakech. There is so much to see and do. Make sure one of your stops is Kosybar, slightly overpriced but a jewel at sunset. As we had booked to stay at the hotel over 4 nights so we had a 4 hour free use of the hotel car so we were able to drive up into the Atlas Mountains. All in all a great trip and was personally taken very much by suprise. 더 보기

very happy and satisfied with the hotel. worth every penny. buffet breakfast w/ plenty of choices (breads, fruit, cheese, egg, coffee, tea, etc). the room sleeps for 4. very comfy bed. the location is 15-20 mins walk to the jemma square. the microwave in the room is very helpful

Spent 5 nights here in early November. Hotel is well placed short walk from the centre of town. Not far from all major tourist sites. Service was good in the hotel. Breakfast was mixture of european and morococan food, and very enjoyable. Pool is nice only problem being that in November although weather was good during the day (25-30C), pool was cold, […] probably not a problem in the summer!! 더 보기

We arrived around 10 am the lady receptionist promptly gave us our room she even helped me to setup my ipad to recieve free interenet. lots of posetive in the hotel. I will mention few negatives for the sake of completion and perhaps for the management to to be aware. The breakfast could be bettre the pasteries were not fresh. perhaps adding fresh vegetables […] on the menu like cucumber and tomato which is cheap and locally available would made it look much better. the interernet speed was ok but stopped working few times. For the price, cleanliness and location I will recommend this hotel overall 더 보기

The Hotel was OK. In my opinion, this Hotel should be a 3 stars....not 4. And that was the only problem. I was expecting more. More cleanliness on my room, and better service. Anyways, the location was very convenient and the overall experience was OK.

Good location about 15 minutes walk from hectic main square. Handy but quiet location.

This hotel was good value for money and we had a very good deal the 7 nights we stayed so should not complain too much.Yes it lacks character and the bar is hardly welcoming and had a limited choice of fairly expensive drinks. The staff were fine whether you spoke french or not and the pool although cold was a welcome relief from the madness of Marrakech. […] Staying in late October and because the hotel is surrounded by other buildings the sun would dissappear from view at 3 pm . Breakfast was not great but adequate , a bit hit and miss on the freshness of croissant,pain au chocolat etc but again at the price we paid I am observing rather than complaining. Room generously sized and quieter if overlooking the pool at rear. Only 12 to 14 minutes walk to main square and couple of decent restaurants being Alizia and slightly overhyped Comptoir nearby. Lovely atmosphere in both however. Do not take the hotels exhortation to have unlimited use of phone in room to call landlines to be free, as we did , as we ended up with a £32 bill for 3 calls. Overall are experience was satisfactory to good and we reccomend this hotel for its price. Do not venture to the Sofitel close by however as you will see the difference in class is immediate. 더 보기

Nothing much wrong with this. Price, Location, Facilities, Breakfast, Pool all good. You'd have to be really picky to find fault with this place unless you wanted unadorned luxury in which case you'd have paid 10 times the price to stay at Mahmounia ROUND CORNER.

In general this hotel is good

Extremely good hotel for the money. Staff were polite and helpful although the language barrier was a little tricky at times. Breakfast was pretty good although the breakfast area was not well laid out with some items on high shelves that made it almost impossible to reach. The standard room was very spacious and clean with a small fridge and microwave. […] We had a room on the road side and after a sleepless night ( people partying in the street and cars racing up and down all night) we changed rooms to the rear of the hotel and all was well. The pool area did get quite crowded and did not have anywhere near enough sun loungers but no trouble finding a spot on the grass.Outside the hotel was very clean and a lovely area to be in and only 15 minutes walk to the hustle of the square. What a contrast! It was a pleasure returning to the hotel after a hot day out. It is a fairly relaxed hotel - they don't seem to mind guests wandering around in wet towels having come in from the pool or taking breakfast to your room. I was really impressed with the Novotel suite hotel. The bedrooms were large, cool and roomy with a separate toilet and a bathroom. I was particularly impressed with the provision of tea and coffee facilities and a microwave. The hotel had a large and comfortable swimming pool area which was cleaned regularly. Although it doesn't have a restaurant for […] evening meals there are two very nice ones in the adjacent streets. El primer dia no limpiaron la habitación y el siguiente la limpieza fué minima (y hay moqueta). La TV se estropeó y nos tuvieron horas esperando a un técnico que vino al dia siguiente y no consiguió arreglarla. Desayuno aceptable. Lo mejor es la ubicación, en una zona tranquila a unos 20 min andando de la plaza.
