We were looking for a quick and easy get-a-way from the city that was low-key, cosy, and friendly. This was it. Tom, the inn-keeper was very warm, attentive, and professional at the same time; also he prepped some really terrific breakfast items each morning (e.g., home-made raisin bread and banana french toast with home-made orange-cranberry compote […] - yum!). Location-wise, we used this house as a jumping off point to tour the Hudson Valley so it was quite central. About 20 minute drive North to Westpoint Military Academy (great museum by the way) and about the same time to Bear Mountain. Also, the house is about a five minute drive to Enterprise rental car and about ten minutes drive from the train station, which we found quite convenient. Rooms themselves were clean and comfy. We had a smallish room with a bathroom but it was fine since we didn't spend that much time there. Other much larger rooms, some with fire places looked quite nice, just at a higher price point. The common space was really beautiful in a kind of rustic, historic, New England kind of way. Antique furniture, working piano, large dining table, couches, chairs, private nooks, and warm lighting; a corner with games and a television too. Also, we found a really nice job down by the river just a few minutes away in a state park. Overall very nice weekend get-a-way. We would definitely go back. 더 보기

Tom was the most cordial B&B innkeeper ever! Great breakfasts, beautiful old home with history and VERY comfortable bed and I am very fussy on beds! I hope to return in the summer for the beautiful pool out back! Definitely affordable and a true RETREAT-like feeling! Nice roomy bathrooms too!

The Alexander Hamilton House was a wonderful place to stay for an impromptu weekend trip. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, the house was easy to find, and Tom the innkeeper's thoughtful planning really made it seem like a home away from home. A beautiful old home high above the Hudson River. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Very friendly staff and superb breakfast. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

When we arrived Tom the owner came out to greet us and make us feel right at home then showed to our Master suite it was appointed so beautifully . The bathroom was amazing with its stained glass window over the jacuzzi which lit up at night. The fireplace real wood was very romantic when we got back from dinner. We were given a choice of times for […] a homemade breakfast which was fantastic . My honey picked the perfect place for a romantic birthday celebration . The view of the river from the backyard in fall from the adirondack chairs was a wonderful way to start our afternoon there. Its location is great and Tom gave a binder for our room which told of all things in the area which was also great. Great places to eat nearby . After my 3 day's here, I felt like I had visited the HOME of a favorite cousin, that's how comfortable and welcomed I felt. The room was absolutely wonderful (clean, unique, well-maintained), and the breakfasts and snacks provided by Tom, the Host, were Southern Living Spectacular! I'm hesitant to write this since I would want it to remain a well kept secret so I can always find a room. Tom, the Innkeeper and part owner, was terrific in making this a comfortable stay. The breakfast was so much better than what one would receive at a major hotel chain buffet. The only thing missing was more memorabilia promoting Alexander Hamilton, […] one of our greatest founding fathers. After all, that is the name of this great establishment! 더 보기
